The shop also hosts local musicians throughout the week, which is a beautiful testament to the rich community in this area of PA.

My brother picked up Roxy Music 'Country Life' and 'For Your Pleasure' for $9 a piece and I grabbed Little Feat and Ultravox albums. They all look all look and sound great. There's actually a lot in there for it appearing to be really small. It's also neatly arranged by genre. I'd like to do some looking in the R&B and soul sections. I'd like to get back one of these days but my schedule makes it difficult, too bad he's not open on Monday.

I was not only impressed with the selection but with the warm welcome I received. The courtesy extended by the gentleman who spent more than an hour helping me and sharing his knowledge of every item I asked about was fantastic. He helped me find what I was looking for (and some things I didn't know I was looking for :) and had an excellent sense of humor! The experience turned a rainy Monday into a great day. We had a great time looking at all the vintage stuff and it was plentiful: antique glassware, light fixtures, jewelry, decorations, dolls, furniture---whatever you can think of they probably have at least one. We ended up wandering around for about an hour. Staff was present and there to help, but they weren't annoying in any way. When we found a set of vintage bubbler lights, one staff member was very excited by our find and offered to plug them in to ensure they work. We will definitely be back when we have more time to peruse. The place is as organized as can be in a building this size and the prices were very reasonable.

Within 10 minutes, I'd found one album I haven't been able to find in almost a decade and another that I honestly thought I'd never find. The store looks small...but the kicker is the owner is a true collector and understands what people who collect vinyl are trying to find. You won't see 20 copies of an album by someone that only their mother knows record an album. There's solid selection of used vinyl from artists that matter like Bowie or the Stones or Beatles or Rush. He has some new vinyl, which isn't my thing, but those currently hopping on the vinyl trend will have something for them. And Chuck knows his crap when it comes to records. If you want to do business with someone who knows what he's doing and prices his items in line with what collectors will pay (and not just rip you off like flea market folks do), you need to come here. I wish he wasn't 1,200 miles from my home. Bottom line: The R.I.P. in Chuck's R.I.P. Records really stands for Really Important Place.

The second he read off to me about the photos and the reviews. I said OK let's switch the GPS to go to this location. To say "I'm glad I went" would be an understatement. When we first arrived, I quickly realize it's a small town that it's located in but a warming aesthetic, standing from the outside looking in you can just tell it's nothing but treasures awaiting to be found. From the warm greeting from Tom himself, down to him taking notice to the people that walk in and placing a track on the player they may like or even if they ask for certain artists record, he will go and run and put that on for them which I thought was extremely caring, but it also let me know how much he cares about the people who come in, what he do, and how his store is ran. He was kind enough to recommend places for my husband and I to visit in London for our honeymoon. I really enjoyed mingling with other people who share alike interests in this shop. Tom has created a great community place to meet new people and perhaps make new friendships. I adore all he has in his shop its the black hole of records or doom scroll of records lol. I drive 1hr and 7 mins from Maryland just to come to this store; Rock and Roll Graveyard is a great 36min spot from me but this one I fell in love with. Thank you Tom!

Walking into this place I felt like I was transported back home to Portland, in the best way. This is a lovingly curated shop, complete with little sayings on each of the price tags that talk you into at least trying the pieces on. One of my favorite tags read; "A maroon pleated maxi dress. Be the star you know you are!" It's like I was shopping with my most supportive and creatively inspiring girlfriends. Beyond that the space is huge, so although the shop has SO many pieces, it never feels crowded. Everything is meticulously organized by color and category (sweaters, formal wear, aprons, etc.) and instead of feeling overwhelmed, it's easy to find what you are looking for. The music was fantastic, the shop owner was a doll...definitely take some time to find yourself something unique and special here. I found a top I never knew I needed, and I LOVE it.
