    No immediate shade????

I had used Barkmore about 4 times before. We were once a week daycare. Xena enjoyed it, until Wednesday, September 6. When I picked her up the attendant mentioned she had been with 12 dogs and "did fine." Xena's record is notated that she does not do well with a lot of dogs. Then when I got her into the vehicle, she laid down on the floor in the rear seat, panting. I said she suffered from heat exhaustion and hurried to get her home. Once at home, she shoved herself under the coach and did not come out for 3 days. I called and asked what happened. They recited their protocol featuring 30 minute rotations in the sun. They also affirmed she had notes not to be with a lot of dogs. How would I know if she had heat exhaustion if I didn't take her to a vet? Because she's MY baby, with me 24/7. I have worked with her to the point that she will come to my bed now. She still has not eaten. Has drank water. I've been in constant touch with my vet. Since I could not get her into the vehicle (she was terrified) I did not physically take her to the vet. She is a 75 pound dog who is not easy to fight with when she's been traumatized. The way she is acting, cowering in a corner, showing teeth to anyone who tries to touch her, is definitely the result of being traumatized by another dog. When I said to never put her in with a lot of dogs. Then I reread these reviews. I feel horrible leaving her here with these people who do not take my requests seriously. I thank God she did not die from being in the heat AND traumatized. I also noticed in all the photos there is NO shade for their 30 minutes in the hot Florida sun. How did they know she was fine???? When they rotated these 12 dogs did they look at each of them to notice any distress? Or did they just shove them from one place to another. I cringe thinking about my poor baby looking for someone to save her and everyone let her down. I'm finally able to get her out of the house. We're going to the vet tomorrow. I hope I can get her in the vehicle. READ THESE REVIEWS!!!!!! Look at the photos!!!!! No shade!!!!! An adult couldn't last in that direct sun for 30 minutes!!!!!! Please, do not allow any more dogs to die here.

This is my favorite daycare facility! As both a previous employee and current customer, I have never had a better experience with a boarding facility. They care about dogs, care about employees, and are super knowledgeable about all things animals and animal behavior.

My Lab absolutely loves going here for daycare, she gets very excited when she gets out of the car! We have also boarded her and our 2 chihuahuas here and I completely trust them and know that my babies are in good hands! They send a report card every day with pictures of your babies having fun! most of all Abbie the Labbie is worn out when she comes home!

My dog had a great time and came home and was exhausted. He was a happy pup. It was so convenient for us to drop him off while we moved

My family and I recently left to visit Pennsylvania and we needed someone to check in on our two cats. Through some online recommendations my wife found Debbie. We set up an initial appointment where Debbie came to the house, tried to meet the pets (they hid) and took detailed notes on what we wanted her to take care of while we were gone. Debbie didn't just stick to our pets either. She also offered to water plants and bring in our mail. We returned from our vacation to a home with clean litter, well fed and happy cats, organized mail and healthy plants. Affordable, detailed, local. It just doesn't get better than that. Thanks Debbie for being a #servicestar!

We both work from home so our dogs are used to having someone with them all the time. Also, we weren't sure how our German Shepard was going to react. Debbie was wonderful, she made our dogs feel safe. She was great with the Shepard and very patient as she got used to Debbie. During our trip, Debbie sent us some pictures of the dogs which was really nice and kept us updated. She also brought in the mail and quite a few packages that were delivered to the house. We will definitely be calling Debbie for all of our future vacations and pet sitting needs. Highly recommend!

They were told he wasn't used to being out with other dogs and should be walked on a leash, which they didn't do. They werent even with him when he was attacked so they had no idea who attacked him.The owner said she would pay for all costs. She gave me the boarding for free, paid one vet billed than refused to pay for the surgery for the eye removal. Her and her staff were rude and nasty to me. When I asked for her insurance information my calls and emails were never returned. Unfortunately I can't afford to sue her. I hope people read this and not take their animals there. These people don't care. In my opinion they should be shut down.

I took my senior cat in to them to board and they apparently are so scary to my cat that he pisses himself. I am not sure if he has full access to a litter box or not but if he does and he's so scared there he won't use it, what are they doing in that room? It is very disturbing to have your animal back and they look worse than when they were brought in or terrified to death. The rude young blonde girl that took him in the AM apparently was annoyed I was 7 minutes early of my appointment time, which by the way is on time to most people. She was extremely UN-reassuring or personable when I mentioned my cat has become increasingly difficult to give medication to after they ruined his ability to take treat pocket pills the previous time (thanks for that by the way). I told them to properly wrap the pill or else if he tastes it he will reject it and they must not have listened. The owner or some blonde woman named Jodi lied to me on facebook when researching alternate boarding options that are more suited to cats about them telling me they won't board him or something. She claimed my cat is aggressive but I have never seen that and you would think someone who professionally boards animals would know how to be gentle and handle cats. She might have been the same one who let me pick my cat up the second time covered in pee and didn't acknowledge it and told me he "drinks too much water" which is implied from his heart failure and kidney condition. duh. Let him drink water. let him use the litter box. She was very dismissive of his condition and seemingly unaware of needs of senior animals. She kicked me off future boardings for him, but good riddance anyway. I would not trust them with your pets.

Now, I understand these girls are underpaid so I don't expect much knowledge but basic customer service skills should be a requirement here. Another person walks in, the girl walks away without saying anything and disappears in the back. I'm alone in the store.. everyone is in the back grooming area. What a funny business! Unprofessional and dismissive. Our last grooming experience was also not a good one. Mistakes, rudeness, delayed service and a cut that made my poodle look fat because they cut the head hair too short compared to the rest of her body and her ear hair was chopped off in two layers that you could see like a step appearance.
