Hostess kept saying I count have possibly made a res that far in advance. Kept insisting I called the wrong place. After lengthy discussion where she insisted I was in the wrong and she was correct, she told us that there were 2 tables available and she could seat us........why not lead with that?? Suggestion: "oh, I don't see a reservation in that name. Perhaps there was some sort of miscommunication. Luckily there are 2 different table options. Give me a couple minutes to get one cleaned and set and we'll get you seated asap". Next, the bartender came to deliver our wine and said "which of you ladies messed up and called the wrong restaurant?" ???? Again much better communication would have included "oh, Im so glad we could get you seated tonight" What an interesting way to greet customers..... Anyway, the food was good and our server was very pleasant so Im giving them a 3.

I think better than half the orders we saw passing by us were fish and chips, which looked wonderful. My wife opined that it looks like this place knows how to do fried foods. Nice beer selection with several good Ontario brews on tap. We ordered a hazy IPA and enjoyed it. Service was attentive and personable. We definitely want to return to Grand Bend--and Paddington's.

We drove for a few minutes in country time (20 minutes or so in the rest of the worlds time)... and we ended up at the most incredible cider house and orchard. Because we are fast approaching Halloween, the orchard was littered with pumpkins and halloween paraphernalia. Upon entering into the store, you are overwhelmed with fabulous candles, jams and kitschy country decorations. The second floor is what intrigued me.... Cider, Apple wine, (cysers) and delicious apple ice wine. The winemaker / cider maker here did a fabulous job of making a flavourful, dry fruit wine. And the price is great.
