Suggestion: "oh, I don't see a reservation in that name. Perhaps there was some sort of miscommunication. Luckily there are 2 different table options. Give me a couple minutes to get one cleaned and set and we'll get you seated asap". Next, the bartender came to deliver our wine and said "which of you ladies messed up and called the wrong restaurant?" ???? Again much better communication would have included "oh, Im so glad we could get you seated tonight" What an interesting way to greet customers..... Anyway, the food was good and our server was very pleasant so Im giving them a 3.

Food was reasonably priced for the quality and was very delicious. Service was fast and organized. Also got the fries and the aioli and they were probably some of the best fries I've ever had and the dip was 10/10. The salad was very good with a minimal note about the dressing being a bit tart. The soup of the day was a broccoli cheddar which was vegetarian (woot woot) and was very good. Would recommend for a quick pop in at any point in your trip to Bayfield!

I'm not Canadian, but I have had poutine before - and theirs might be the best I have ever had. The gravy was amazing, you could tell they add beer when they are making it. I also tried their regular cheeseburger - cooked perfectly, juicy, and delicious. If I hadn't had the poutine, I'd give it high marks for the burger alone. Don't sleep on this place, it's great. Now, I don't consume alcohol, so I can't comment on the quality of their beer - but my work colleague said it was very good. I did try their vanilla soda - and it was really good. High marks all around!

It was a "seat yourself", order your food & pick up your own drinks brewpub. The server themselves seemed to be doing little except deliver your food & clear the tables. My food was the TexMex Nacho Wrap ($17.00) w waffle fries. It SHOULD have been piping hot cause it took 45 minutes for us to get our food!! Instead, it was lukewarm with not much taste to it to boot! This was disappointing as the menu (attached) LOOKED very nice but the food disappointed. Our server(s) were less then polite & it kinda turned me off from the get go. Glass wall teaching kitchen turning out the finest food that hasn't yet been awarded a Michelin star (I'm going to make a call after posting this because it is deserving of one). Long version: it's called simply The Prune; the restaurant is on the main downtown drag in lovely Stratford and is not to be missed. There is simply not one thing they aren't achieving culinary excellence with - we tried a smattering of offerings such as the fresh oysters, the house made sourdough, the chicory Caesar salad, the house made tofu dish, and finally the flank steak (a perfect dish IMO - hats off to Randi and Mike and the kitchen team). Every one of those dishes listed hit with style and flavor rivaling the best restaurants the world over - yes, if you're wondering, I do like to exaggerate but I promise I'm not in this case.
