I'm always really torn when it comes to bagels. I love them, absolutely love them, but they're also often quite small. So when I order one for lunch I'm always umming and ahhing over whether it will be enough. Imagine my surprise when the spectacular smoked salmon bagel was brought to my table. It was gorgeous, and took a bit of deconstructing before I could eat it. You know I kind of wish it did leave me unsatisfied, only because I was really dying to sample some of the sweeter things on the menu as well. Their waffles, French toast, and blueberry bagel all sound amazing, but I think I'll have to save them for a weekend breakfast sometime. It was packed full of Mums and bubs, many of them seemed to file out at around 12:30 and that's when people showed up for their lunch break. I was actually sick, and I was able to get a comfy spot in the corner an just enjoy some food without having to cook anything myself. I've only been in the area for 2 weeks, but I'm hoping many weekends are filled with a breakfast at the Coffee Barun.

I don't venture up this way often but when I do, I make every opportunity to stop here. Always great coffee and an interesting menu. Food is fresh and delicious, none of which leaves any greasy sickly taste in your mouth. We also found their portions to be generous. The kitchen certainly delivers on the flavours be it their breakfast, big burgers or other lunch menu items. Over time we've had the big breakfast, Thai style beef salad, and salmon. Proteins have been cooked perfectly each time. The beef salad's dressing had just the right balance with generous tender slices of seared beef. I haven't tried any of their pastries or cakes but they always look good. I should really try some next time, good companion for a coffee. The restaurant itself has abundant seating, it's quite lovely spacious and bright in there.

Fantastic ham and cheese croissants as always

One of my favourite places to go for breakfast and/or lunch, always very friendly staff and always greeted with a smile, I even got complimented on my comedic t-shirt I ordered the ham and cheese croissant, this is one of my favourite things to eat here, in my opinion one of the best ones I've eaten to date, soft fluffy pastry on the inside with a nice crispy flaky shell, the ham to cheese ratio was great, but could use a tad more cheese I also ordered the Belgian hot chocolate, also fantastic, a very creamy and nice tasting chocolate, nothing like the usual chocolate powered 2min drinks most places sell, Only negative is that they have stopped making the Belgian White Hot chocolate, that was the main reason i began dining here many years ago, but the food and remaining beverages make up for it's loss

This is a cafe a frequent a lot and every time I go there, I'm not disappointed. First up, they roast their own coffee which makes them a winner already. The coffee is on the strong side but delicious. Their food is always yummy and well priced - but make sure you get in before 2.30pm as they close their kitchen early. As for the space, it's warm and comfortable and I LOVE that they have a little kids corner with a large table where we can hang out and watch the little ones play. It's perfect for a mum's group catch up and I often go here for business meetings. Parking can be found at the back but there are only a few parks available so I recommend parking in the car park across the road. It does get busy so be prepared to wait to find a table at busy times of the day. If you haven't been here, you should.

Great coffee, great bfast menu. Highly recommend the omelet. It's often busy on weekends so u will need to go early. meal sizes are big. Baristas are very good and there is a good selection of coffee styles including cold drip. For parents there is a small corner for the kids.

What an excellent cafe! I'm sad I didn't know it was there sooner! I've seen the signs and thought it was just a small cafe, little did I know hiding inside was a bustling secret that is too good to keep a secret. The staff were all too happy to serve, friendly, engaging. Their coffee had all the attention to detail that you need when you just want a good coffee! I had eggs Benedict, amazing. Excellent hollandaise, cannot be faulted and the serving size which was very generous. This is what Adelaide is about! I hope to come back a bit more when I'm in town!!!

This is by far the best coffee in Adelaide! There is one word to describe the Barun: consistency. This place is my regular during the work week, and much to my wife's chagrin, the bane of my bank account. It's absolutely cracking coffee is roasted on site and you can buy their beans by the bag there. They do take-away coffees for relatively standard prices, but I've found it tastes far better if you grab a seat and have your coffee as the Lord intended it (not to mention you can then partake in the coconut sugar jars they have there). Haven't eaten here that much, but the three times I have, I haven't been disappointed. The food seems pretty fresh and tasty. Adding to that, I've found the staff to be fairly friendly and provide good service.

With a bit of a funny location, situated on a main road a few k's from the city, Coffee Barun has relocated a short time ago to a much bigger newer residence only a few doors down. The Coffee Barun serve wonderful breakfast (all day for late risers like me), the coffee is the real winner. They roast on site and supply to a few other cafes in SA. You can buy beans or ground coffee, along with equipment and learn from the best first-hand about your coffee and how to use it.

Perfect place to hang out and with good food. Best eggs benedict Ive ever had. The bread was toasted to perfection, bacon was cooked the way I like it. That hollandaise sauce, amazing... Everywhere I had have eggs benedict the sauce was always too sour. Just parking will be a hassle..

Great great coffee and food, very kid friendly! Kids have their own little play corner to keep them occupied. Plenty of seating.

You can easily drive by looking for something bigger, better, more open but you would be missing out. There's a cafe a little up the road that's also great but targets a different type of customer - I believe these two can co-exist happily. I was in a rush so I bolted in, was welcomed by a friendly bearded young bloke at the counter (with a lady in the kitchen), asked for my standard medium FW and because I didn't want to fumble with the menu, asked what I could snack on other than what was in the display cabinet (which looked fresh and inviting). He offered a toasted egg and bacon sandwich with house relish (oh yes please) and one or two other things but I was already sold (rushing remember). I took a couple of photos & took in the surroundings before my coffee was brought to me. Well crafted, creamy, strong enough, perfect temp with some nutty after tones. It took less than 5 minutes and my sandwich was brought out to me and I left feeling happy. Another five minutes later after I had demolished the sandwich I was even happier. It was delicious with just the right amount of filling and the relish a great flavor They have coffee cards where every 6th is free and my spend was just under $10, also a fair price. Look, I'll be going back and unless I'm mistaken I won't be changing my review. They do have some competition from further up Churchill Rd, from Prospect Rd, and from Jeffcott St, but this is a little gold star cafe in suburbia that aims to please and produces what it produces well enough to please its customers.

We found the place on Regency Road, amongst various shop fronts on the busy road. It wasn't the biggest of space upon entering, however, it was bright, filled with natural light and real plants. The shabby chic look worked well against the cool white walls. The fittings and furniture has clearly been recycled and / or upcycled from various op shops. It was well put together. The place was packed! And loud! We sat on the square communal table with strangers as that was the only option. Nothing wrong with that. The place wouldn't hold more than 30 patrons comfortably. Once we have decided, we placed our orders at the counter. We were advised that they were sold out of the rosticcceria items, rather disappointing as that was what I wanted. This was one of their baked-in-house items. My friend ordered the smashed avocado with riccotta on focaccia and i had the cheese pizza, with pancetta and rocket ordered as extras. Her meal came out in a timely manner, but mine did not come out till she has finished. When it did come out, my raw pancetta did not look appetising, so I requested for it to be cooked. When it returned, it looked slightly better and because I was famished, I slowly ate it with little excitement. The pizza was so dry, it was a bit of a challenge trying to enjoy it. To their credit, they did tell me that there is no sauce on the pizza. The cheese was actually baked inside the bread. Perhaps I didn't pick right, but it was the driest pizza I have ever had. My friend wasn't impressed with her smashed avocado either. She found it bland and rather boring. So, she modified it by adding salt and chilli flakes to make it more interesting. Perhaps we both lucked out with our selections, but the wait was a massive factor, especially when our meals was delivered separately. Pricepoint - very reasonable. Most expensive item was $18.00 Will I return? Maybe in 3 months time after they have settled in more and worked out their teething issues.

Omg best drive through on main north road for coffee and brunch…read more Definitely as good as it gets. Such friendly staff and great customer service but the secret is the coffee. Good quality coffee and the sizing of the cups are bigger. Fast and efficient and I keep coming back to this place as least 3 to 4 times in a week. The staff are so lovely here and the awesome funky atmosphere they provide is a worthwhile to stop and grab a coffee. They are open from 5am to 5pm and mostly have drive through customers, however there is a window to serve walk through customers that drop in without a car and can grab their take away items and can either sit at the bench listening to tunes. There is a small selection of items on the menu, but it's the quality of the food that is provided here. So far I have had the *smoked salmon bagel for $7 - This was different, smoked salmon with cheese bagel. Fresh Bagel. Very tasty. Thumbs up! *pumpkin feta spinach and pinenut quiche $5.50 - This was unexpectedly very tasty. The outside was firm yet soft and fresh as it crumbled nicely when bitten. The pumpkin, feta, spinach and pine nut worked well together. I was going to save this for lunch but it looked too good and I ate it with my morning coffee. *Nutella donut $3.00 - like... WHAT!!!! nutella donut. I'm in heaven. Nutella oozing out of the donut when bitten. Soft and delicious texture. YUMMY! *Banana bread $3.50 - very fresh and tasty, thumbs up! *Raspberry and chocolate muffin $4.50 - OMG... it's a huge muffin with giant chocolate chips on top and throughout the tasty and delicious are smaller chocolate chips that are distributed quality evenly and lots of raspberry in the middle. *Large cappuccino - a nomal serve already has 3 shots of coffee so no need to get the extra shot, it smells great, tastes awesome, bigger serving than maccas but tastes so much better. The quality is so.... good as I don't get upset tummy aches as other coffees have made me a bit sick. I'll definitely will come back again and again as it's on the way to work and the coffee here is so good..... Thumbs up
