Neither one of us wants to start up a small business but would look for an old place like this as a residence while still keeping the historical aspect of the place intact. The location of this place does not lends itself to a residence, definitely a business. We met the owner who was busily working but took the time to answer questions and was most pleasant. This place is an antique and consignment store as the name implies. The owner had this place added to the Michigan historical list which means she is limited to what she can change inside and out keeping the historical integrity of the building. The level of respect immediately went up for me as both my wife and I are big supporters of historical landmarks such as this. The items for sale are displayed nicely and prices clearly marked. It seems like the perfect business for this place bringing in items from old days gone by into a place that must have been quite a sight with trains and passengers coming and going. What a treat this was for both of us.

There are many rooms to explore and the merchandise runs from big furniture pieces to small chotskies. My nephew bought his 70's kitchen table and chairs here for $75.00. We just found this place on accident today. Figured we would get the word out. The woman working…read morethere is very nice, friendly and helpful. We had bought a stroller for our baby and this is the first time we used it to find it zip tied up. She cut them all off for me. Very helpful. They have just a bit of everything in the store as well. I bought two trains very cheap that need a bit of work, but she still wrapped them up very nicely so no damage befell them. No one does that, but she did. If you have not been here, check it out. They have DVDs, loads of them, they help with tax preparation, Long Arm Quilting, sewing & alterations, custom handcrafts, gifts, collectibles and antiques.
