Wayne is one of the best professionals I know! I had a big crack on my shower floor, and it was giving me a big headache! Wayne fixed my shower floor, and brought it back to life. But best of all I didn't have to spend hours on YouTube trying to figure this out myself. Thanks Wayne! You truly are a great professional! Every house has a shower or bathtub. The Bathtub Medic did a beautiful job with my bathtub! It looks brand new. I considered DIY but realized that missing just one step can be a fail and I've heard DIY only last 2-3 years. Or if done wrong, 0 years. I didn't want to waste time and money so I called The Bathtub Medic. Wayne has been doing bathtub restoration for many, many years and knew every step necessary like the back of his hands. He was professional and very passionate about his work. I would definitely use his service again!
I hired Wayne at the Bathtub Medic to refinish a bathtub and replace the drain at a rental house. Even though this was an old tub, the porcelain finish was still very good (pic attached), but the area around the drain was rusted. Wayne assured me the bathtub would look "like new" when he was done. The day after Wayne did the work, I received the invoice by email. I texted the tenants to ask them how the tub had turned out. They said the drain looked good, but there were some other issues, so I asked them to send me some pictures. On the pictures, I could see there were dark areas where the finish looked too thin. There were also some pinholes in the finish, some overspray on the floor, and a small piece of the flooring had been pulled up (so water could now get under the flooring). I contacted Wayne about the situation and sent him the photos. He said he would take care of the problems, but it would be about a month before he could get back out to do it. I said that was fine. A few weeks later, I sent Wayne an email asking when he would be out to do the repairs because I wanted to get him paid. He then became a totally different person. He hadn't realized that I hadn't paid him yet, so he started insinuating that I was not going to pay him. (This bathtub was the second bathtub Wayne had refinished for me. I paid him for the first job immediately after the job was completed, even though he said I could wait for an invoice, so he had no reason to think I wouldn't pay). He was insulting and condescending, and he kept calling my tenants liars. He even told my tenants that I "was refusing to pay him a penny until the job was perfect" (so unprofessional). I kept explaining to him that I just wanted the job finished before I paid him, but he kept wanting me to pay him before it was done. He indicated that I needed to stop complaining and just pay the bill in full. He told me there was a 5 year warranty, but I told him that if I couldn't even get him to finish the job immediately after doing the work, what would make me think he would do it 5 years from now? He said that since the work was only cosmetic, he didn't consider it a high priority. He did end up coming out to do the repairs, but he did not attempt to fix the floor, and some of the overspray and dark areas still remained. There was also a new scrape left in the finish. He also did not fix the pinholes because "rather than air brush them, which I thought would have left a bigger footprint and been a worse outcome, I left them alone". He kept saying they were microscopic (which they are not - see pics). I explained to Wayne that there were still some issues with the tub, and I told him I could meet him there the next time (he did not get along with the tenant, a woman in her 70s). He asked if I could get some glue and fix the floor myself, and said he would send us a vial of touch-up paint for us to touch up the finish. He was still very accusatory and insulting. He eventually said he would come back only with the understanding that when he was done, we would need to sign a statement saying that the finished job was acceptable, and that I would not make any negative reviews on social media. He said if he could not get final approval (and accept the job as is), he would scuff up the surface and scrape off the coating around the drain, and remove the new drain he had installed. After careful consideration, I decided not to allow Wayne to come back to the house for the repairs. He seemed very angry, and his accusations and insults to me and my tenants, plus his threats to my property, did not make me feel comfortable enough to allow him to come back. I went ahead and mailed him a check for the entire amount of the invoice. I have noticed that the Bathtub Medic does have some good reviews, but I can't help but wonder if there are people whose jobs did not turn out well, and they were pressured into not leaving a bad review on social media to try to get their bathtub fixed, or decided not to pay him. He told me that he would rather me not pay him than to leave a bad review, but I was not trying to get something for free (like he accused me of); I just wanted what I was paying for.
The Bathtub Medic recently resurfaced a 80 year old bathtub in a rental property that was in dire straights.. It looks beautiful after the transformation .. I found Wayne to be very straightforward and professional in his business practices.. he explained each step of the process and works diligently until completion.. I also was appreciative of his full disclosure of additional costs involved for "extras" such as a new drain and an anti slip solution.. He also has great manners which is always appreciated in todays world .. I highly recommend the Bathtub Medic.
Wayne did a beautiful job on my shower. He is highly professional and cares a lot about making your bathtub look gorgeous. As you can see from the photos, my tub was disgusting. I had neither the time nor the resources to fix it myself, so I called a few places asking how much it would cost. Other places were charging me up to $1000 just to clean, but Wayne offered $300-400 to clean, and $695 if i wanted both cleaning and refinishing/resurfacing. My shower is old and gross, so I figured I may as well go the rest of the way to make it look brand new again. The process was 3 days. It had to get DEEPLY cleaned, so an extra $50. Then once it was all clean, he finished the surfaces and helped me install a new showerhead and drain. I had a leak, so he helped me find someone who could fix it and was willing to work around my schedule. Once Wayne was done, the total cost (including a $40 showerhead, $10 drain, and $40 nonslip surface addition) was $860. This is SUCH A GOOD PRICE considering other places were about to charge me $1000 just for the cleaning. If you have a tub or shower like mine, do yourself a favor and go to wayne. He's an artist -- he will turn your bathtub into a masterpiece. He really does care and I will definitely be going to him in the future. I AM SO IMPRESSED.

I called Wayne to give me an estimate on my project. Long story short, I am very satisfied with the work he did. I appreciate the attention to detail, and feel like he cared about the quality if his work. He was very respectful and tidy. His work area was neat and clean. I put a large chip in my bathroom sink dropping a large object. Our tub also had many years of wear and stains. Called Wayne at the Bathtub Medic. He set an appt and gave a written estimate. Also told us how long the job would take. Showed up on time, covered all surfaces near the job, worked diligently and meticulously. Cleaned up afterwards and did a beautiful job. Bathtub and sink good are as new and both with warranties. Putting before and after pics. read more
