From the beginning stages of planning their wedding Angela offered upped many suggestions to help make the day special, from where to have hair and make up done, staging of lights, chairs and tables.....etc. all the details required to make a wedding day run smoothly. Fernando ( maintenance man) was available to help in setting up and taking down lights and prepping the courtyard. Alicia ensured the bar was set up and properly stocked (very important) and the kitchen ready for the caterers. The day of the wedding was absolutely amazing and Angela was checking in throughout the event and did a follow up call the next day, great customer services. The GKI has the best views and such a comfortable feel for hosting a wedding. I would highly recommend the GKI venue and call Angela to make your event extra special.

Very well maintained and clean with many common foyer and gathering areas. There are six bedroom suites. I stayed in the Turquoise Room. I have stayed at old hotels before in Arizona, and this one is one of the best historic properties if looking for that Old Arizona Charm. Just stayed the night and it has been very comfortable and quiet. Noah has been an exceptional and very kind host. I will be back to this beautiful property. Will also plan to try the breakfast on my next stay in Globe, Arizona.

It was a very positive experience. Holly owns this huge historic house, and she renovated it. We met Holly but had more contact with Noa. Noa's partner is Holly's cousin. Each morning Noa cooked us delicious full breakfasts. The breakfasts had quiche/frittata/flatbread made with eggs and veggies. One day we also had blueberry muffins and English muffins. There was fresh fruit salad. The breakfasts more than enough to satisfy our appetites. Noa is an excellent creative cook. See attached photos. The first morning we had breakfast in a delightful breakfast room with windows on three sides. We looked out onto lovely lush vegetation. We had our choice of coffee or various kinds of tea. I loved sitting in this room. We would arrive early, drink coffee and read the newspaper before Noa arrived to make breakfast. The next morning we had breakfast at a very large wood dining room table that could easily have sat 20 people. This room had French doors that opened into a patio with tables and chairs. When we were there a small wedding party was taking photos on one of the outdoor patios. There are additional common spaces. There was a sitting room with chairs and books on the same ground floor as the sunny breakfast room, dining room, and kitchen. There is also a small lobby one floor up on street level next to the front door. (The building is on a hill). One afternoon we went back to the sunny cheerful breakfast room and sat there to read. The on-the-street parking is free, safe and easy to obtain. The bed and breakfast is very conveniently located on a quiet street on a small hill about two blocks from downtown. For dinner we walked to the restaurants downtown on the main street. We conveniently arrived on a First Friday of the month. There was a small celebration a couple blocks away on main street. There was a band in the afternoon or early evening (which we missed) and some craft vendors and at least one food vendor. We bought some cookies there. Every guest room in this bed and breakfast is different. Our room and my sister-in-law's room were on the second floor near eachother. There were two staircases to reach the second floor, and a quaint little sitting area in between. The decor in our room was cute. Our room had two comfortable double beds. One bed had a bedside table with a foot high reading lamp. Due to space limitations the other bed did not have a bedside table or bedside reading lamp. There was a small chandelier over that bed. The room had good lighting. However, I would have liked a bedside lamp so I could read at night without disturbing my husband. Our bathroom was huge. It had both a shower and a claw foot tub. There was a sink in the bathroom and another small sink in the bedroom. We used the tub for storage. During our visit there was no ice available that I could find. The kitchen fridge had a water dispenser but the ice dispenser was broken when we visited. An appliance repair person was planned. Our room and my sister-in-law's room had individual wall air conditioners. We had the Amethyst room. We put a few sodas in the kitchen refrigerator since our room did not have a mini fridge. Management did not complain that we took up a little space in that fridge. When we eventually return to Globe, I would like to stay here.

The front desk clerk left at 5 pm, so we were quite concerned our key would not let us back in the hotel after dinner. Thank goodness it did, because the keys didn't work the next mornin, and I would have been locked outa my room. Our room was not cleaned. We only had one towel. Sheets were stained. No toiletries. Not even soap! When I asked Audrey for soap, shampoo and conditioner and towels, I just got one towel, and no just conditioner. Audrey said they had no conditioner, and had no "bar" soap, and then she handed me a partially-used, already opened travel-size liquid facial cleanser. There were two rat/mouse traps positioned under my bedside table. Not a great feeling. The shelf in the shower was broken off and missing. The TV and continental breakfast were a complete waste of time. The leather sofas in the lobby were cracked and worn, and looked like they had sat outside in the sun all summer. Too bad. They made an effort to refurbish the place, but didn't hire the right people to look after it. Sad story and a waste of my money. BUYER BEWARE!

I made sure to ask questions, so I knew there was no mini fridge or microwave in the room and brought my own cooler. They were great about supplying ice for it. HOWEVER, there was no tea room, bar (the signs on the door say "Tea room and Bar") or meal service other than a "continental" breakfast. It was 1 bagel, 1 muffin and 2 slices of bread in a baggie. There was coffee, OJ and cranberry juice, no fruit, no breakfast sandwiches, nothing of note for the hype. I've had better at cheaper places. On the website we say pictures of table settings, a professional kitchen and even pictures of the food. Then when I saw that I was disappointed that we were paying over 200$ a night and couldn't even get a working TV. The front door locks in the late afternoon so you're expected to enter and exit through the back door. That's $425 and a whole weekend I'll never get back. To top it off, it was our anniversary.

Then the RV started to have plumbing issues and we both knew we wouldn't be able to stay in the RV for 1 more night. Someone suggested we stay at Cedar Hill Bed & Breakfast. I'm so glad that we did! I can not say enough good things about Cedar Hill. The whole house is kept up very well. I love the decor, many things in the home seem to be original like the bath tub and some light fixtures, etc. It was a charming place to stay. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. I felt like we were staying with someone my family has been friends with for ages. At night we drank wine out front on the porch swing and had great conversation. In the morning we sat out in the backyard and enjoyed the sunshine with our coffee and a things to nosh on. I would definitely recommend this Bed & Breakfast. It's perfect for a mother and daughter get away, a couple looking to get away, a single guy or gal (on an adventure, road trip, or business), even a small family who is looking to stay at a home away from home. We…read morearrived in the evening and after a tour from our lovely host, Linda, who publishes a local paper, we walked down to the old Main St., which was 1/2 a block away and filled with great old buildings. We found a local market close by and got a bottle of wine, which we drank on the charming front porch while hanging out with the cat, to relax after a day of riding. The spacious old house was really cool and clean and I felt as if we were staying at some forgotten cousin's place. Homey in a good way! There was nice art on the wall and good books on the shelves. We slept well, had a little breakfast in the morning and were on our way. It was a nice experience, a good deal, and I would stay there again!
