She created the Tambourine Resale Shop to fund her mission. The Tambourine Resale Shops sells donated nearly new and gently used items that include housewares, women's and men's clothing, accessories, furniture, jewelry, art and antiques. Over 40 volunteers staff the store. This year they are celebrating their 45th anniversary. The store is very neat and attractively organized. The clothing area is set up like a boutique with brand name clothes, some luxury. There is a dressing room area where you can try on. Prices seemed reasonable but always do your research. For even more thrifting fun, the Women's Refuge thrift store is right next door. Proceeds from this shop have been helping the community for over 40 years so you can feel good about donating to and shopping at the Tambourine Resale Shop.

This thrift store has several rooms of gently used home goods, toys, clothing, accessories, holiday decorations, linens, pet supplies, and more. Everything I saw was well priced and additional sales during my visit offered an extra 20 percent off handbags and wallets and 20 percent of pants, shorts, and skirts. A sign requesting people to remain dressed in the clothing room cracked me up. Know you are on camera so keep those clothes on. It is not a dressing room.
