It is with pleasure that I share my experience with Beacon Garden and Landscape. In a matter of three days, our backyard was TRANSFORMED. What was once an eyesore is now the envy of the neighborhood. We met with John and he couldn't have been easier to work with. What's apparent is his true passion for his work - he loves to create things. We shared our basic vision and he enhanced it by offering up his ideas which were welcomed. John impressed us with his knowledge of plants and provided pros and cons based on some of our ideas. We felt that John was our advocate by helping us manage our lofty ideals with the realities of care and maintenance. The schematic we received after the consult with John seemed almost too good to be true. Could our backyard possibly look this good? We were doubtful, but we signed on and I'm happy to report that the end result is every bit as good as the mock-up design. John and the crew are excellent at landscape design, but I must mention our engagements with Rachel. Rachel was NEXT LEVEL in her communications with us. She clearly communicated the process, timelines and updates with regard to plant availability at the nursery. Rachel checked in with us often to ensure we were happy - we were so impressed by her attention to detail and communications. In all, we were completely blown away by their service and quality of work. I generally only review companies that exceed my expectations and Beacon did so by a long shot! - Began working with Beacon Garden & Landscape in December 2021 with a consultation at our home. - We were quoted for an entire landscape design and paid that in full. - We NEVER received a full design, only three portions for areas as we would begin work on those. - We completed 5 phases of work with Beacon Garden & Landscape. - During those 5 phases: o We learned we could not make a final payment prior to work being complete. We did that when we were told that phase would be complete on the same day. It was over 2 weeks until it was actually complete. o Deadlines were NOT met. § Even deadlines to provide additional quotes. o Our property was left a mess, drink bottles and actual trash, tools randomly scattered, products left in various areas, etc. § We asked that this be cleaned up/contained TOO many times to count. § When all items were finally collected to one place, they were placed on top of irrigation heads so when we ran our irrigation system, it flooded those areas, killed grass, and created mud. o When we would make payments (progress payments or deposits), work would STOP for one reason or another for a couple of days. o Our dog fence was cut multiple times, the last of which, we were told it was repaired but I learned it was not when my dogs ran into the road. o We would wait in the mornings for workers to show up and they were LATE almost every time we were given a time they would arrive. - We take pride in our home and property, do have a level of expectation when paying the amount of money we were continuing to pay and do hold businesses working on our property accountable. - We paid a deposit for phase 6 and were given a PARTIAL refund as Beacon Garden & Landscape did not want to be held accountable or actually finish their work. - We are left with broken flagstone stairs, cracked walkways, exposed lighting wires and lights that do not work, mud sections of our lawn, transformers barely attached and wires covering the ground, dead plants, crooked planted trees, and SO MUCH MORE. - This is our experience and we simply share to make others aware. read more

From consultation, design and planning, implementation through completion, this team communicates, has fantastic vision and professionalism. John listened to my needs, layered in his own design ideas and expertise, and managed the project exceptionally. Rachel was truly outstanding with scheduling and communications throughout.
