Since they opened, my husband and I have been wanting to check out Woodlands Coffee Roasters &…read moreCafé, and we finally made it happen on a Sunday evening around 6pm (they close at 7pm daily). From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt like a cozy cabin retreat with rustic accents. It was clear that a lot of intentional thought went into designing this space, it's one of those cafés where you keep noticing little details the longer you're inside. Merch is everywhere in a very on-brand way. Immediately to the right, there are T-shirts, mugs, and other coffee-related items for sale, including ground coffee beans. Just about everything is branded with the café's name. Personally, I'm not sure I'd wear a hat or T-shirt with a restaurant's name unless I worked there, but I can see how fans of the brand would enjoy it. Seating options are plentiful and varied, which I really appreciated. You can sit inside, on the rooftop, or on the outside patio. According to their website, they also rent out the Legacy Room, rooftop, fire pit in the rear, or even the entire house, with pricing clearly listed. They also host monthly events, which makes this spot feel very community-oriented. While it wasn't super crowded when we arrived, the chatter was lively and created a nice, welcoming energy. The staff matched that vibe, friendly, warm, and attentive from the start. The menu offers a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and smoothies, along with breakfast, lunch, and a custom brunch menu on Sundays. I would love to see more vegetarian options added to the menu, though. That said, there was a solid pastry selection, including several vegan and gluten-free options, which was nice to see. I ordered one of the January specials, the White Mocha Valencia Latte, and my husband went with an Americano. Drinks are available in 12oz, 16oz, and 20oz sizes. We also ordered the Flatbread. The online menu listed mushrooms as an optional topping, but they didn't have any available, so I opted for no toppings. We decided to eat the flatbread there, and a very amicable young lady brought it out to our table. I really appreciated that the staff took the time to double-check with the kitchen before saying no to anything. I asked if they had crushed red peppers for the very cheesy flatbread, and after checking, she let me know they didn't. My latte was enjoyable, well balanced and sweet without being overbearing. The flatbread was just okay for me. I wasn't a fan of the marinara, and I think crushed red peppers would have helped elevate the flavor had they been available. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Woodlands. The space was clean, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was ideal for writing, reading, or catching up with friends over coffee. It's definitely a thoughtfully designed café with a lot of potential, and I'm glad we finally made it in.

She said the next time I was in the area my food would be remade. I went inside and spoke with a nice young lady whom I felt to be the manager and explained everything. She was very nice. My food was remade correctly. It is hot and fresh. The tea is delicious. This is McDonalds food as I used to know it growing it. I am greatly appreciative. I would definitely return. Thanks so much.

I wanted something quick and McDonald's is usually one of my go-to places, but I probably won't be back to this location. I went through the drive thru to save time, but I probably would have been better off going inside. Employee: "Order when ready" Me: "Yes ma'am, may I get a side salad and a four piece nugget?" E: "A large drink?" Me: "No ma'am, a side salad." E: "Did you say a large tea?" Me: "No. One of your side salads" E: "I'm sorry, I can't understand what you're saying. You said you wanted a large water?" Me: *getting extremely irritated* "A SIDE SALAD!" E: "Oh, a salad! What kind?" Me: "The side salad....." Now, I wanted to get the low fat vinaigrette, but I decided this would have been too much to comprehend, so I just said F*** it and got ranch and I hate Newman's Own brand ranch. Employee: "Okay, so you wanted a large water and a side salad? Can I get your anything else?" Me: "A four piece nugget and that'll be all" E: "Any sauce?" Me: "no ma'am. That'll be all." E: "Will that be all?" Me: *face palm* "yes" I pull up and realize I was charge $1 for a water I didn't even ask for or want. If I was going to pay the $1, I would have gotten tea, or coke, or something else. I could have just filled up my water bottle at the school for free. The gentleman at the window taking my payment apologized, but did nothing to try and take it off my ticket and just handed it to me. My salad was not to McDonald's standards. It had some wilted lettuce and was not crispy or cold. The nuggets were luke warm and were dry. If I had to guess, they had been sitting in a plastic warmer for a few hours. In all, I paid about $5 for a meal that disappointed me. It upset me so much that I did fill out their customer service survey online and left it open for them to contact me, but two weeks later, I haven't heard a word and I don't expect to. This makes me think they don't care at all about their customers and what they serve. Quick Update: I was finally contacted and he apologized for the bad service and mailed a $10 McDonalds credit. I appreciated it, but I was happier they acknowledged the problem.
