The shop is on the smaller side, but it wasn't too busy on a Saturday morning, and we had no problem finding a table. I noticed several people working on their laptops, so it seems like a great spot to get some work done or just relax with a coffee. I ordered an iced oat milk latte and a cinnamon roll bread pudding. The bread pudding was SO GOOD. I would honestly make the drive just to have that again. They also offer a variety of toasts and pastries if you're looking for something to eat. One thing I always appreciate about coffee shops is when they feature products from other local vendors, and Stir had a nice selection of things like jewelry, mugs, and puzzles. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm glad the Coffee Passport brought me here. I'll definitely be back for that bread pudding!

I did get a vanilla latte with the tiramisu cold form and it was DELICIOUS! I would definitely try it again the next time I go. The barista that helped me was very kind and friendly. She helped me make the best selection. The types of milk you can get is Oat, Coconut, whole cream and half and half, I did wish they had a skim milk option but the coconut milk was very good in my latte. My sister ordered a Blueberry Matcha Tea, she enjoyed it and said the blueberry wasn't a strong flavor profile. I would recommend stopping in and getting a drink and having a nice conversation with someone.

Despite the fact that they offer house made almond and cashew milk, I was a bit surprised that they recommended sticking with the local dairy milk for those that do dairy. I gave it a shot and I suspect it did contribute a lot of the flavor. They had a small baked goods selection heavy on the vegan and gluten-free, and the chocolate chip cookie with salt had a slightly unusual texture bad was a credible cookie with plenty of chocolate. It is the sort of place that caters to special diets and offers specific local options, and the quality was worth coming back for.

I was hoping for a stronger, bolder cortado with a little more punch, and it ended up being just average. Our waitress was pleasant enough and took good care of us, but nothing particularly memorable. One thing that did strike me as odd was when I asked about the history of the house. Since it's such a unique building, I was curious to learn more, but she seemed somewhat evasive and told me the bare minimum. It was a little surprising given how much character the building has. Overall, Myrtle & Cypress is a nice place to visit if you're looking for a cozy atmosphere, but I think the coffee could be a bit stronger and more memorable. They only offered one herbal option (lavender mint) but unfortunately I could only taste the mint and didn't notice any lavender. They did have other caffeine-free drinks available, but I was looking for something unsweetened and low in sugar. The space was also different than I expected. Based on the name, I imagined a cozy, relaxing atmosphere with comfortable lounge seating. Instead, the décor felt a bit mismatched, almost like the café had expanded over time and the two sides were decorated very differently. That said, one thing they absolutely got right was the amount of seating. There were plenty of tables and space to work, study, or catch up with a friend without feeling crowded. The biggest downside was the cleanliness. The bathroom didn't feel clean, there were stains on the floors, chipped paint and damaged walls, crumbs around the couches and on some of the chairs, and the dish return bins were noticeably dirty inside. I stayed for about 90 minutes, and during that time I didn't see any cleaning happening, even though there were several areas that clearly needed attention. None of these issues alone would have been a dealbreaker, but together they made the café feel neglected and took away from what otherwise could have been a much more enjoyable experience.

Impressive multi tasking! The drinks we got were an iced brown sugar shaken espresso, and an iced PSL. Both tasted good, but I was a bit thrown off as they seemed far less sweet than what I'm used to. I've had the brown sugar espresso a few times at several different locations, and this one was definitely not as sweet as the others which all tasted the same to me, so I assumed every location created an identical product. I don't drink PSLs but took a sip of this one, and I also expected this to be sweeter--although I haven't ordered one so maybe my expectation was wrong. The drinks were still good, and I appreciated that they served mine stirred vs. layered so I didn't have to try to stir it myself in the full cup. They also asked if we wanted straws before we even brought it up--much appreciated!
