My expectations may have been skewered given the fact I had dinner inclusively paid for and thus prepared for any old tosh that would fill my belly and leave me droning on about how good it was to get a three course meal for ten quid.
As I ate there three nights in a row I had a different dish every time, such was the insistence on variation I would have eaten a main as to induce anaphylaxis so long as I hadn't had it before, hence I was disappointed by the chicken (which I rarely order in restaurants)
For pudding the banana was dreadful (who gets banana for pudding?). Apparently the banana had been vacuumed as thats what they do on Masterchef, or perhaps the chef got a vac-pack for christmas, either way, the life and soul had been sucked out of my bananas to infinitesimal proportions rendering it the most neutral banana on Earth.
The staff are a joy and I can see that coming through loud and clear on the online feeds, I hope they are remunerated well for their eagerness, thank you all kindly, food was decent but the feel is swish and for February it was quite busy. read more
