Bond was denied but that doesn't negate the warranty for poor workmanship and trying to pass the cost on to me the customer to get it fixed. The fact remains to this day, there is a failed inspection due to the negligence and the permit remains open for which 3rd Generation has been cited by the city of University Hts.

I was asked if there would be a significant other attending sales pitch meeting and I politely indicated I'm a single mom and will make the final decision myself. Yet, I understood the reason behind the inquiry and had no problems with it. The sales guy was straight to the point didn't really try to sell me the product just provided information regarding the product and answered questions I had accordingly. Which I was grateful for! He let me know that there would be about an 8-week fabrication Lead time which I was fine with. The windows did end up ready for installation within that time frame. Empire graciously set the installation date according to my schedule. And I can't rave enough about the three person team who came out and completed the install. Dave and his crew were on time, addressed my concern about placing down floor protection- which they had already anticipated. They were knowledgeable with the product and how to install the windows and the back patio door. Hard consistent workers, there was no downtime during the install. the framework after the bay window was removed was done very professionally and looks amazing. They answered my questions professionally and didn't make me feel stupid for asking very simple questions at times. I cant say enough about this crew, I hope they see this review and see how appreciative this single mom is. This review concerns…read morethe outstanding service we received from construction contractor Dino DiFranco of Bedrock Construction. The project began with a blocked bathroom drain and morphed into a spanking new kitchen. We initially hired a plumbing contractor to clear the blockage. That effort went from bad to worse over two days and is the subject for another review. It did, however result in all new second floor drainage piping. During the process of ceiling/wall repair, we decided to update our kitchen with all new cabinets, countertops and flooring. Our plan was to have the floor installed (floating luxury vinyl tile) immediately after demolition concluded. Upon meeting with Mr. DiFranco to estimate the cabinet install, he suggested that we put the cabinets in first since installing cabinets over a "floating" floor would prevent the floor from actually floating. Good start! This contractor and his crew have renewed my faith. For years and years I have dealt with shoddy and incompetent contractors from a college painting crew that put more paint on my shingles and driveway than my house to an HVAC outfit that replaced our electrical distribution box and furnace (including a new A/C unit) and never applied for the permit they charged me for. Our experience with Dino and his crew changed all that. Being a relatively handy person, I have an understanding of what it takes to start and finish a project. I built my own 3 car garage in 1984. I have made numerous other projects including a solid white oak trundle bed, 2 cypress "Westport" chairs and a deluxe outdoor redwood mailbox/planter. Dino and his staff handled our cabinet install from start to finish beginning with the delivery of the cabinets to our home. Dino called, scheduled a preliminary check of the materials and showed up on time. Several defects were noted and he took care of reordering the parts. On installation day(s), Nate and Brandon took care of business, methodically installing the cabinets and trim. Each of the two days of install, they assured they had covered all of the floors with drop cloths, and wore their masks. Everything is perfect. Nate even assisted me with some additional work that was not part of the plan. Cabinets are plumb and level and the trim work is very nicely done. I have very little follow up work to do (caulking, etc.). I would HIGHLY recommend this company. We are very satisfied!

In 2026, the time of this review, we had hail and wind during a storm last week and I get a random text from them (see picture) stating that I signed up for messages from them, which I did not, and noted the storm. Are they storm chasers now? I really wish they would not "opt in" people that never opted in.

My wife noticed a leak from our roof that was already pushing 30 years old, so we called out some…read morecompanies to take a look and get some estimates on the work. Joe came out, took a look what was going on, and gave me an estimate that was identical in scope but half the price of another estimate we received so we opted to go with Eames and Sons. Joe was fantastic to work with and kept me up-to-date on scheduling of the entire process, from dropping off a trailer for the old roofing materials, dropping off the new materials, the actual day of work, etc. The Eames and Sons crew came out, did the work in a single day, and then Joe came out the next day for an inspection. Joe noticed some of the work wasn't up to the Eames and Sons standards, so he had someone from the crew come back out and redo it and then came back out the same day to check on the work again. I also noticed that some of the mortar between bricks near some of the work seemed to now be missing and he came back out on his own time to fill in the gap. Eames and Sons, and specifically Joe, definitely went out of their way to make sure our roof was perfect and that I no longer needed to worry about the leak we found. This was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend others use Eames and Sons for their roofing needs. EDIT: I noticed some damage to a window screen after the dump trailer was moved away. Joe fixed the screen himself and sent someone else out to take care of some of the metal around the window as well. Eames and Sons has gone above and beyond what I expected and they have set a very high bar for any work that gets done around our house in the future.
