After salon hopping for the first couple of years living in Missouri, I found home in Honey + Hive…read moreSalon. I did go through a few different hair stylists but all of them were great. I had Tabby, Kambree, and now Megan Jessy. And each time was a wonderful experience. I was too scared for a long time to chop my hair off or get away from dying my hair black because it was just low maintenance. Being a mom and living an hour and a half away from this salon, I don't always get the chance to get my hair done often. But I decided I needed some change and have been talking to Megan Jessy about chopping my hair off and starting the blonde journey from black hair. Today was my first session and my hair came out exactly how I expected if not better! As you should know, going from dark hair to blonde is a PROCESS. It doesn't happen after one or even two sessions. This was Megan's first time doing a balayage on me and she was seriously so amazing and personable! I highly recommend her. And her cutting skills? I am the pickiest person when it comes to cut. I come from Nashville, TN where I spent good money on haircuts. And let me tell you, Megan is one of the BEST. I had to upload updated photos because Yelp lacked them. Truly, Honey + Hive is a hidden gem. I've been to 3 different salons in town and this one is where you need to go.

Both times I was satisfied with the service. The only recommendation I would give to the business would be for the receptionist to answer the phone as honey and hive. Several times I've called and the woman just says hello.

The girl in the front not overly welcoming but I continued. A male had the water ready quickly and I told him basic pedicure in black. I am 58 and my ankle was swollen from an old tendon tear that acts up occasionally. He was a little rough, cut the nails a little too short where one hurt last night, used no real scrub, just pumiced super hard (I can take the pain, but seriously) but did do a very long lotion massage which did help relieve some stress, and probably helped with some swelling why the 3. Price was same as my lady, at $35 for regular polish. There was a very nice young lady (from Branson) I spoke with, that had recently moved here, and if I ever go back would ask for her.

They had us pick colors, and when I said we didn't want gel, they insisted it was fine because they "match" gel colors to regular. Then they pulled out actual gel bottles. I repeated that I didn't want gel polish, and they told me, "It's ok, it's not gel without the lamp." I even asked if it would come off with normal remover and they said yes. Well, guess what--it won't come off! Now I'm stuck having to go somewhere else to pay to get this taken off, and my nails will likely be damaged in the process from buffing which is why I haven't used gel in years! How does a nail salon not even have regular nail polish? They flat-out lied to me, and I will never be back.
