Don't ever buy a mattress from The Bed Store. Roger Cunningham. Bought a Simmons beauty rest black less than 5 years ago. Biggest piece of junk of a mattress you can buy. Sunk in on both sides and it is 1/4 of inch of being out of warranty according to them. The picture is my 2 year old grandson sleeping on it, you can see how bad it is. They told me I still have 5 years for it to get worse 10 year warranty. They can sleep on that junk for 5 years if they want. I can get a better mattress and service from Big Lots. The Bed Store tells me it's up to the manufacturer on warranty, I have contacted the manufacturer a couple of times and they say the warranty is through the dealer it was bought from. So which is it?? It's just a big run around. It's going in the dump and I will buy a real mattress from somebody reputable that stands behind their product. read more

I had mistakenly purchased a bed from Knoxville Wholesale Furniture. For almost 3 years I was in contact with the reps at Knoxville Wholesale. They even switched out the mattresses on 2 occasions. I was still not satisfied, especially after spending over $5500. I voiced my frustration, but it fell on deaf ears until I met Doug Lesher at The Bed Store on Chapman. Doug stayed in touch as he negotiated with the warranty department. Although, I did not purchase my bed from Doug/The Bed Store he took ownership and delivered a solution. That being, getting upgraded mattresses as Doug became our voice. He saved us several thousand dollars and got us the mattresses promised by Knoxville Wholesale. Bought a bed Monday evening around 5pm and everything seemed to go ok. Delivery was set up for tomorrow but we realized on Wednesday evening around 7:30pm that we didn't need the bed at this time and would cancel it until we decided what we really wanted. I was told about their 48 hour cancellation and at this point we it was only about 2-3 hours past that, but the store had closed. I called Thursday morning to cancel the order only to be told sorry, even though we don't have a delivery time for your bed it's too late to cancel and you're stuck with it. I was told if I wanted I could trade up to a bigger bed. So I barely missed their 48 window and the manager told me to bad he's sticking to my signature on the contract. I'll keep the bed fine but I'll never buy from them again and let all of my friends and family know to go somewhere else so that they might have a chance to deal with someone else. This was the store on Chapman Highway and maybe different stores have different managers, but I'm a store manager myself and I do my best to accommodate customers so that they will come back and shop again. I'm not saying that the customer is always right by any means. But it wouldn't have cost them anything at all to make it right. It would've been free for them to let me cancel and when I was ready in the future I would've went back as a customer. Now, I'd never shop at any Bedstore ever. read more

He is incredibly helpful, and he genuinely enjoys what he does. You will love working with him. He provided many options to meet our needs, and he gave each of his customers exceptional service. Although I know he cannot do this for every customer, I do have to mention that he did a HUGE personal favor for my husband and me. We first stopped in at The Bed Store on a visit to Knoxville as we prepared to move from Texas to Tennessee. When we made the official move to town 2.5 weeks later, we were getting to our new house early in the morning following a 16-hour drive. (We would not receive all of our furniture from the moving company for 2-4 weeks.) Even though his delivery team couldn't get the mattress to us until 24 hours after we arrived, he made arrangements to deliver the bed to us within two hours of our arrival WITH HIS OWN VEHICLE. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! READ FULL REVIEW I recently Purchased the Rest Bed from The Bed Store in February 2020. From the beginning to present it has been a complete nightmare. I was explained that it would take about a week for the bed to get in and then they would schedule an appointment for delivery. Almost 2 weeks went by and i have not heard anything so i inquired about it and Josh, that was the salesman, assured me it would be here in a few days and that we could schedule for delivery. Unfortunately I had to wait another week for this due to my work schedule. It was scheduled and i made arrangements to be off of work to be at home for the delivery. Time came and past and it was a no show. I called Josh to see if they were coming with the bed and after being placed on a brief hold he explained that they didn't have the bed and that Rest had not even sent it out yet. I received no prior calls or any contacts whatsoever concerning this. I expressed my concern to Josh that from my experience in the past when circumstances like this have taken place it usually gets worse and I was considering pulling out of the agreement. (I wish I did) He assured me that thats not the case with the company and he had Kevin the manager to call me concerning my concerns. Kevin called and smoothed things over. I must say that Kevin is why I decided to go to The Bed Store because of a mutual friend recommended him. ( What a mistake). This is why I decided to move forward with my purchase because I trusted him. On the next delivery date they did show up and my wife was here at the time. During the set up they had problems with one of the mattresses filling up. (For those who don't know a rest bed has air chambers that operates from pumps and a app. I purchased a split Cali King bed so it has 2 mattresses.) They finally got it filled and then they had trouble connecting the apps to operate the beds. They worked on it a couple of hours but ended up leaving without it correctly connected. When I got home from work I spent 3 hours working with it to finally hook up correctly. It worked good for few days then we would loose contact. This went on for a couple of weeks and finally I was frustrated and called Josh to let him know what I had been dealing with. Josh got Rest to contact me to work on the problem. It was helpful for a few days but then it still would not stay connected. Then they decided to send me there new pumps and 2 samsung pads to operate the system instead of our phones.( Now I must interject that this was taking place during the shut down due to the pandemic so everything was delayed a little. I also had the conversation with Josh that I was concerned about my 90 day trial period. Josh assured me that it would be extended giving the shut down and the trouble that we have had and really hadn't been able to see if we liked the bed or not. The Bed Stores policy is that you have 90 day trial and if you do not like the bed then you can replace it with another mattress and if its at lesser cost you will receive a credit). Shortly I received the new pumps and pads It was fairly easy to hook up and the system appeared to be fixed. This lasted for about a month then i started having the problems again. I worked with it for the next week or so but did not have any success. I then contacted rest (Sarah which is who had been helping me from Rest). I explained that I'm totally frustrated with the bed and wanted a refund. She did want me to try a few other thing to help connect the bed but i explained to her it was time to move on. I'm afraid that if i keep trying this and trying that and it may work for a few days, week and then I have more problems then I'm eventually going to be stuck with the bed dealing with this problem the whole time. She said she totally understood. She had me try a few other thing to get it to work but with no success. She then contacted Kevin at the The Bed Store and he was to follow up with me the following day, which he didn't. That was on a Monday and I gave it the whole week and never heard anything. I contacted Sarah again and she explained that she had discussed certain options that they could do to support The Bed Store dealing with this issue of mine. She said she would contact him again. I waited almost another week and finally he called but due to work i was unable to talk with him. He said he would call back the next day which he didnt. Finally the following week I contacted him and we had the discussion concerning my bed. I explained where I was at and that I was requesting a refund and he said he would have to contact the owner and get back with me. He called me the next day or 2 and explained that they were not going to do anything and that it was past 90 day period. I mentioned that Sarah from Rest mentioned that they gave him some options from their company and he said it didn't matter and that they were not going to do anything. CONT. They will tell you if you find a better price they will match plus $100 however I did just that but instead of giving me the money they said I owed $99 for a delivery fee due to me swapping mattresses. Their contract states you MAY BE charged a $99 delivery fee if you are outside their delivery area. I live in Sevier county and bought the mattress in Seymour (Sevier county) must be a small delivery area. That's fine I will let everyone I know about how they do their business. I am a repeat customer to The Bed Store on Kingston Pike. We bought a nice Serta a few years ago and it is great. I wanted a less expensive bed for a seldom used guest room and though I looked around, I went back to The Bed Store. Nick Taylor was so helpful. He worked within my budget and got me a much nicer quality bed (Marden) than the other stores showed me for the same price. The delivery guys are great too. Carlos has been our delivery person both times and he is very professional. It was raining today and he rolled out a protective rug and wore slip-on floor protection on his shoes. My husband and I bought a mattress about a 1 and a half ago from Jason at the South Knoxville location. He was great and we left really excited with our purchase. After a year and a half the mattress starts to become extremely uncomfortable so we submitted a warrantee claim form. They came out to the house within a week of submitted the form and told us our warrantee claim was approved the next day. Our mattress had been discontinued so they told us we just had to come in to select a new one. We went back to the south Knoxville location again and worked with Jason. He remembered us from before and showed us what would be comparable to our current mattress. I wanted to look at some other options and he showed us the Latex mattresses. I fell in love with a mattress and Jason gave us a great deal. I would definitely recommend working with Jason at The Bed Store. They take care of their customers even after the sale. read more

I'm very impressed with this store. The man who helped me, Jason, was very helpful. I spent all day looking at every mattress store I could find. I was looking for a very specific matress, for my trundle bed. Time after time I was introduced, by other stores, to mattresses that did not meet my requirements. Not only did Jason look up all the options and pull out each one for me to try out, he also worked with me to find a deal so that I could afford what I really love at a very reasonable price. Even an hour and a half away from my house, if I needed another matress I would go the lengths just to be able to be helped by Jason again; however, I won't have to. Nick at the Bearden store was great - he even met me before work at another store location as his showroom did not have the mattress I was interested in! Customer service was top notch!
