I had a box springs made on Fri. I was told a FULL size is 55x75 and that is what I needed so I had one made picked up on fri. afternoon. I brought home and laid my foam mattress on top of it and marked it to cut my queen foam mattress to match size of box springs all went well until I put bed together and the box springs was too narrow it is 52 1/2 inches instead of 55 causing the rails to stick out 2 1/2 inches past the box springs 1 1/4 on each side causing a slop effect because the box springs was too small and I have already cut the mattress to match the box springs had to resort to cutting the queen size rails to make it close up so the box springs would fit better. If I had not cut and ruined my mattress thinking it was 55 as it was SUPPOSE to be I can assure you they would have remade the SOB to a true 55 inches as I was told so NO I DO NOT recommend them ever and nor will I ever go back! Brothers bedding in knoxville Tn is incredible. We went to there factory were everything is made. We were amazed that in only 30 min we were able to make a custom bed that is incredible. The bed only took 5 day to deliver. The best part of it all was from the owner to the people that make the beds everyone was awesome. Pricing was the best I could find and I'm cheap. Worst customer service I have ever encountered! Everyone I know said "buy a Tempur-Pedic", "It's the best mattress I have ever owned". So I purchased a Tempur-Pedic Flex-Hybrid Elite mattress on March 3, 2018 from a Brothers Bedding. My husband and I have different firmness tastes when it comes to a mattress so we wanted to go and lay down on them and and choose one we could both compromise on. We laid on their mattresses also but they were too high off the ground for our needs. Even with their low profile foundation it was still too high. The first delivery occured on March 24, 2018, 3 weeks after ordering. It was the wrong mattress. It was a cheaper version of the one we paid for. I notified the Brothers Bedding that day and they said Tempur-Pedic put the wrong mattress in the box. They said to go ahead and sleep it and they would order another one. No one ever called me to update me on the order status or anticipated arrival date. The first call I got was the delivery people wanting to set up a time. They call on Thursday April 5, 2018 wanting to deliver the next day. I don't know about you but I need a little notice to make arrangements to take off work. So on April 7, 2018 (2 weeks after the first delivery) they came to deliver the mattress again it was the wrong mattress. Indeed the box was labeled correctly but the mattress inside was a cheaper one! When it was delivered to their warehouse would you not think to open the box and check it before attempting to deliver when you know the customer has already had problems? At this point I am livid! Derrick, sales manager, called me after my husband called the store to complain. He said he would call Tempur-Pedic on Monday and would call me back. He never called back. I was contacted by a regional manager, Steve L., from Tempur-Pedic who apologized, promised to get to the bottom of it and get me the correct mattress. I asked was it going to take another 2 to 3 weeks to get my mattress he assured me it would not take that long. I also asked about compensation and he said he would talk with the local store where I purchased it and would get back to me. Derrick never called me back. Good customer service would have been to place a follow up call to make sure Steve had been in contact. Again, no one from Brothers Bedding contacted me until April 19, 2018 to set up delivery. I finally received the correct mattress on April 21, 2018. 49 days or 7 weeks after purchasing. I have yet to have a good night sleep on it. Since I did not purchase directly from Tempur-Pedic the "90 NIGHT TRIAL Love it or send it back" doesn't apply to my purchase. The store I purchased from does not accept returns on Tempur-Pedic mattress so I am stuck with it. On March 16, 2018 I went in to the local mattress store to order the $300 worth of products that came with my mattress. I chose 2 King size Tempur-Pedic mattress pads with a grand total of $341.51! I paid the additional $41.51 that day. What kind of mattress pad costs $170.76? On May 29, 2018 when I had yet to receive the mattress pads I called Brothers Bedding regarding the status of the order. I was told someone would call me back - no did. On June 5, 2018 I filled out a complaint on their website. Not long after Derrick, sales manager, called to say they would be arriving June 7, 2018. I will believe it when I see it. I again asked about compensation. He basically said Brothers Bedding had done no wrong doing. He went on to say he "didn't sell me the mattress". I attempted to clarify, did he mean him specifically or him as in Brothers Bedding but he never answered my question. I can tell you that my bank statements say I bought the bed at at Brothers Bedding. I complained about no one, including him, ever calling me back despite being told someone would. I even gave examples of what good customer service follow-up calls sound like. Yes, I know I was not nice but I never swore or called anybody names. I can say that the delivery men where nice. One even stated "if you spend this much money you should get what pay for". Now maybe if you purchase their brand you get "good customer service". I will never know because I will never purchase anything from them again. UPDATE*** I did finally receive the 2 mattress pads. read more

We had a great experience buying a mattress from Brothers in Knoxville in Dec '22. My husband was having a lot of unexplained pain and internal problems and realized it might be our 13 year old medium-soft one-sided soft Sealy mattress. We knew we wanted a new firm flippable mattress. While I like medium-soft; for the sake of my husband, I was willing to buy a firm one. For a full day, I researched mattresses online and had narrowed it down to one company called Plank. While they had good reviews, when I read their bad reviews, the negative ones were about poor customer service and poor quality on the edge of the mattress. Then my husband remembered there had been a local mattress company. Since we own a local business, we definitely want to support a local business. I could also try this mattress and not have the pressure of going several places and dealing with high-pressure sales people selling different brands--most not flippable. My husband was not well enough or interested in going with me, but said to focus/buy the firmest one I was comfortable with. When I got to the store at Cedar Bluff, the place was quiet and appealing (after a recent busy Black Friday). The sales manager (Derrick Pratt) was really nice. Based on my research, I told him the mattress I thought we wanted --Ortho Firm flippble queen. He let me lay on 3-4 mattress -- this one, one medium-soft, one super firm (and more expensive), and another a lot more expensive. He also showed me a cut away sample of the mattresses to show how they are made. He said we could even watch our mattress being made in the local factory! He even extended the recent Black Friday deal (of no sales tax). Each time the salesman presented new information, he gave me time and space to try the mattresses and think about it. The brother mattresses have a 365-day comfort guarantee, and if we needed to change something about the mattress, we would just have to pay shipping. While the price was a bit more than I had expected to pay; in the end, I felt the high quality, guarantee, top-notch customer service, being local and my ability to try them out, made the difference. I ordered the mattress and it was delivered 2 weeks later, on time, by 2 nice men. And our old mattress was taken away. My husband and I both got adjusted to the mattress. My husband liked it right away. It took me about a week to not dream about sleeping on flint. Now I like it and it feel great. After a couple of weeks my husband realized that all the unexplained internal pains had gone!!!!!! We now strongly recommend Brother's Bedding for high quality products AND great low pressure people. I even sent Derrick complimentary tickets to our Tennessee Medieval Faire and Tennessee Pirate Fest in Harriman, near where he lives. What can I say? We have in the past 2yrs have spent $1,900 on mattresses in 2 different stores. One did not last a year & another was all trouble. $1,400 for plastic & 2 air mattresses. Anyway.......Going into yet another purchase due to my wife's back we were apprehensive at best. Went to Brothers Bedding on N Peters & from the moment we entered the front door it was all about the customer. Mitch Hayes was knowledgeable about the products & answered all our (wife's) questions. He did not in any way pressure us for a sell, he explained what we needed to know about purchasing a bed. Customer service is as good as the beds they make. It seems there is a mattress store on almost every corner of Knoxville but Brothers Bedding is the standout as far as I'm concerned. When I told Traci, my salesperson, I was kind of overwhelmed by the choices she asked me what kind of bed I preferred. When I said firm she actually went to the trouble of constructing a firm bed that would be the one that wound up in my house. It was the most comfortable mattress I've ever laid on. I went to 6 or 7 other mattress stores and none could even come close to the customer service Brothers provided. Besides being extremely comfortable the mattress is two sided which makes it an even better value. Plus the mattresses are hand stitched and the box springs I was told have more slats than others and use a harder wood than the pine used in others.
