We got detoured due to a Halloween parade and somehow came across this treasure out in the middle of nowhere. I recognized it from Instagram so we had to stop. It was decorated for Halloween and conpletely adorable. We got a variety of snacks to try - a chocolate shake, m&m cookie, peanut butter brownie, and a s'mores cookie. The brownie was a little dry but tasty, and the s'mores cookie was absolutely incredible. There is an indoor counter, but there is a takeout window as well. There are some picnic tables set at the opposite end of the parking lot if you choose to sit outside. Very cute. Definitely planning to go back for funnel cake and breakfast sandwiches. read more

Went today and had the best breakfast sandwich EVER!!!!! The BYB I think it was called. Was on a super fresh kaiser, crispy bacon (not the rubbery kind a lot of people microwave today), 2 pieces of porkroll, and a crispy hash brown that just made this sandwich perfect!!! A friend also got a caramel milkshake that was so amazing, I'm going back to get one myself!!! I must admit the place looks more like a fruit stand, but don't let the appearance fool you! Food was delicious!!!! And prices were fair, they should even charge more in my opinion LOL!! read more

This place states on their website that they are open Monday through Fridays 7am-3pm. Drove 24 minutes just to find absolutely nobody at the store. If you are not gonna be open I would hope you would update your website and let your patrons know before doing unnecessary trips. Waste of my and other people's time. read more

I've given them so many tries; I really WANTED to love this place and support this cute local business. But. Most of the experiences were confusing and disappointing (save one or two, hence the 2 stars). Here are my experiences: - Mother's Day cake. Their cakes, baked goods and grill food LOOK BEAUTIFUL and are IMPECCABLY DESIGNED. But taste is non-existent. Cake is too dense, tasted like nothing, and made me sick to my stomach. "Swiss buttercream" was about 90% butter and 10% sugar and 0% any type of flavor. So I had a dense butter cake with butter. For $60. Or I could go bite into a stick of butter for $2. - Lemon-raspberry cake. Apparently I didn't learn my lesson the first time. Too dense, flavorless, etc etc... - Carnival box. Nothing wrong with it, per se, but was hoping for something stand-out since the marketing of Bee's Knees is that of a place that separates themselves from fast food. Hot dogs were small and overcooked. - Cherry Cordial cupcake. Small, no hint of the cherry liquor they boasted was "top shelf" and had a wrinkled old cherry on top of more of that famous afore-mentioned swiss buttercream. PLEASE. Sift the powdered sugar, don't beat it on high for more than like 2 minutes, and add vanilla extract or something to the icing! Or try your hand at a cream cheese or royal icing recipe! - Breakfast burrito. This was delicious. But, the perpetually-confused counter girl got my hubby's cheesesteak totally wrong (cheese+steak, that's it). - Speaking of the counter girl, the staff that takes orders all appear to constantly be experiencing their first day on the job? They have no idea what you're ordering, how much it is, what follow-up questions they should ask, and when they do ask you a question and you answer, they promptly forget your answer and ask again. Like, immediately. "Would you like onions on your burger?". "No". "Ok, so that's no onions on your burger?". Then they forget you paid and ask you to pay again, they don't write down special requests and then my hubby with allergies gets an inedible item, and look at you like you have three heads when you try to order a special that they've been plastering all over social media. Oh. And please update your printed menu. Apparently there are 5,028 more things you can order on top of the 6 things on their menu (yes, there ARE veggie wraps and vegan burgers and italian sausage and mango chicken wraps, you just have to somehow know that you can order them. Like a lesser-known Starbucks menu). Also, the grill food is only available until 3pm. Sometimes. Sometimes they tell me earlier or later, depending on which first-day girl is working. So as an introvert, I get confused and then panic and apologize for their ineptitude. Also, because I can't learn my cake lesson, I recently asked the owner if they could make a rainbow cake for a Pride Party, and the only response I got was "for this coming weekend?", which I replied to. So they're either unresponsive, or not LGBTQ-friendly? I've gotten ice cream a few times too, and no complaints there. Cake shake was delicious and sinful! But they need more than just ice cream to compete with the other ice cream stops around the area. I wish this business the best, I really do. It's adorable and a great concept, but they need to work on their product taste and operations. The presentation of the food is beautiful to look at, so there's definitely a pride element there, it just needs to be applied to the rest of the way this place is run. read more

In the short time I've know about this place, I've come here 3 times already and have loved everything that I've tried. The best place to start is the peanut butter/honey/pretzel sundae! Since then, I've had their fluffernutter and s'mores cookies, millionaire bar, and PB&J milkshake. I wish I could remember to take pictures, but I'm always so excited to taste everything. First time going here. Wanted to love it but was not wowed for cost of food. I'm used to paying NYC prices for quality baked goods but these I didn't feel were worth it. -Surprised they advertise their honey as organic because I know for a fact there are locals to the establishment that spray their farm fields with non organic products and bees travel up to five miles a day foraging. So they may practice organic methods, but their bees are not always foraging just on their property. -Strawberry scone was way too sweet and awfully moist for a scone, I'm sure little girls may love it for the artificial strawberry flavor but for $4.50 I didn't think it was all that great. -bourbon brownie was okay for $4.50 but I make better brownies at home, it was dry and I'm not fond of chocolate chips in my brownies. Didn't try any food or ice cream..$12 for three small desserts was enough to break the bank for me. Would prefer pappys orchard baked goods instead of these, if I'm going to blow calories on baked goods I'd rather eat a chocolate bar. read more

Moravian sugar cake, blueberry pancake shake, breakfast funnel cake, and the pierogi wrap are a few examples of the creativity of the staff. Call first, I guess. Their website says they're open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sundays, and I've been searching (in vain, so far) for a really good scone for over a year now, since I moved into the Lehigh Valley. This place looked interesting, so I figured I would check it out. Drove for almost 30 minutes in the pouring rain to get there, arrived around 11:00 AM on a Sunday, and it was closed. Extremely Disappointed. Brides Beware!!!! We wanted to support local small businesses in the area for our Wedding in September. We had found the bakery during the pandemic and had enjoyed many of their baked goods. We had reached out and worked with Jailyn for several weeks about the treats we wanted and the cake. We had a specific vision for the type of cake and with phone calls and emails we had gone over our wishes and really figured she could take creative liberty to make a beautiful cake for our wedding. We even discussed how to transport the goodies from the bakery to our home the day prior to our now small wedding. Things seemed so good to be true! Wow! We were so excited to have the perfect cake and several baked goods from Bee's Knees! ... except, there was no wedding cake or treats made. The day we were to pick up the cake and sweets, my now husband called to see what would be a good time to come by. Chrissy had no idea what was going on, and took a message. The owner called my husband back and was extremely rude and made it our fault that nothing was made! She said that she figured we went with another bakery... !!! Really?? Because we were discussing transporting the items and after the calls and emails- you thought we didn't need a wedding cake?! To top off the treatment, the owner (Nicole i think?), said that if she has to make these items that she is going to have to charge us extra and would have to call in extra people and it would be a big inconvenience for them to make our cake. At this point I flat out said that they will never have any more of our money, and they surely will not be tasked with making our wedding cake and desserts. She did call my husband back and back track a bit, but the damage was already done. Our day went on without a Bee's Knees cake and honestly I am glad. After the condescending tone and utter lack of customer service, when they really dropped the ball- I am glad that the true colors came through. It's a shame that it happened- but I can not support their business when they treated us so poorly. A simple admission that they messed up and an apology would have been accepted far better then raising their voice when they are the one's being paid for a service. Brides Beware!!!! read more

normally leave reviews on google but my wife insists yelp is where I should be leaving them for places of food. We were staying in town with relatives and always want to support the smaller local businesses. You can't go into the bakery but they have walk up window service. Wish we could've gone in to see everything, it was small but cute. We Tried the s'mores cookie at the recommendation of the young girl working upfront. It was the best cookie I ever had and my wife got the swirl ice cream which was pretty good too but melted really fast. The food was mediocre, you're average grill and deep fried stuff. Lots of funnel cake options too some really weird but other fair style options. We didn't get to try any. Would like to add, customer service is the one thing that was so so for us. The older lady with the brightly colored hair could be nicer when customers ask simple questions about their items and not made to feel like a bother. For example I asked the young lady working if the mango smoothie was tart and she asked the older woman who gave me a look as if I was stupid and she says "well yeah, it's mango". While I understand most mango items can be tart, but that is not always the case, the smoothie was to be for my 3 year old son which is why I asked. Wasn't the most welcoming feeling but the younger lady was more cheerful and very patient and helpful with deciding on dessert and drinks. So I've given a star for all the good things we had here- ice cream, cookie and drinks. I should also add that they have fresh honey which I'm told is harvested from right behind the bakery.
