For what it is, this place is so good! I was not expecting this passing through PA. I got a bacon, egg, and hash brown on an everything bagel. Honestly, get a hash brown in your sandwich or you're missing out. This place had the best hash brown I've ever had in my sandwich. Even better than in NYC. But, they often mess up "to go" orders...forget to toast the bagel, use the wrong bagel (plain instead of blueberry), and don't order a bagel with smoked salmon, you'll get one thin slice of salmon on the bagel sandwich. Went to Bagel Basket this morning for breakfast to change things up a bit from my normal work from home routine. I was really craving a bagel and it has been difficult for me to find one that compares to bagels from NY / NJ but Bagel Basket exceeded my expectations! The bagel tasted fresh and delicious. Their website claims to make all of their bagels fresh everyday and that is definitely true for Bagel Basket! The bagel was doughy, fresh and extremely tasty. I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and I ordered a plain bagel with egg, ham and cheese. The egg sandwich was fantastic. Very tasty and made to order! Delicious! The bagel with cream cheese was also very good. Bagel and a bit too much cream cheese on it but other than that was fantastic! I don't have any pictures of them because they were too good I ate a half of each with my roommate in one sitting! Delicious! I would highly recommend going to eat at Bagel Basket to get away from the craziness of being indoors. I used to really like their food but I don't think I'll be back. one big concern is their bathroom can lock you inside. which they have a sign indicating. super dangerous for kids!!! also big puddle on the floor on the way to the bathroom. basically I wouldn't bring kids and let them go to the bathroom. their hot beverages are not always set up so I wouldn't bank on that. overall not my top pick. read more

I love this place. Would highly recommend for breakfast or lunch. Great variety and selections of deli meat & cheese. I always order a combo special (sandwich, choice of two sides, selection of bread, and a deli pickle). The portions are also very generous. I easily get two lunches from one order. They have some of the BEST creamy and sweet macaroni salad and coleslaw I've ever tasted. They also make great homemade pastries. Always speedy service and the (primarily) Lehigh student staff is always polite and courteous. Definitely a local favorite of mine. read more

As soon as I start to dictate my order, the cashier takes an order in front of me on the phone of someone else although I arrived first. I asked her for a bag/napkins since it's to-go, aggressively grabs napkins and slightly throws the bag at me. No exchange of "thank you for coming in" Bagels were so bad; mushy, bland, no aeration. Been giving this chance for a year now. I was really excited to have a bagel store close to home. Unfortunately, the service and the quality of food has gone down considerably. Although the bagels are "cooked" daily, they still come out gummy and mushy. I even asked them to double-toast the bagel, but alas, it was still gummy and tasted stale. I've wanted so badly to like this place: it's super convenient. Most, but not all the workers are friendly. Some act like I'm a complete burden. I just had the Virginia ham and Swiss cheese beagle with lettuce, union, and tomato and it was delicious. But the beagle is what put this sandwich over the top. Usually like it here but was pretty upset after waiting for 30 min and realizing once I got home that my egg and cheese with turkey bacon was actually a bacon, egg and cheese with turkey lunch meat. I was able to take the turkey off but since I don't eat bacon it was pretty annoying. Have never had this happen to me before despite eating a breakfast sandwich nearly every day. read more
