I purchased a full-body laser hair removal package. During first full-body session, we ran out of…read moretime before all the body parts could be completed. During another session, the machine overheated in the middle of the session and we could not continue. That is nothing compared to what happened next. When I arrived for a session in May, the tech suggested the depth of the laser be increased for better results. Trusting her assessment, I agreed, and she changed the laser settings and began treating me. She let me know my skin was having a reaction, but told me it was totally normal. It was not normal. I had never had a reaction before, and now I was getting PAINFUL, STINGING RED CIRCLES everywhere the laser touched. Again, trusting her expertise, I allowed her to keep going, but after seeing the spots and hitting a pain tolerance threshold I asked her to turn the settings back to normal. The areas treated at the lower setting did not experience the reaction. She said the reaction should go away and that if it did not to let them know. A FEW DAYS LATER, MY SKIN WAS STILL STINGING AND SPOTTED and I texted their customer service number with this update and they said they would look into it. I heard nothing back. I had sent pictures to my dermatologist who had said to apply hydrocortisone cream, and when that was not effective, I went to see my dermatologist who told me the reaction was known to happen when the laser settings are raised too high for someone's skin type. She said the reaction was entirely preventable because the tech should have known to not raise the intensity given my skin type. My dermatologist told me THE REACTION WOULD STAY FOR A FEW MONTHS OR A FEW YEARS. I had to pay for the dermatologist visit and still pay for ongoing visits and for ongoing use of various creams to try to fade the spots. It has been 3 months and my arms, chest, stomach, and bikini line are still covered in spots. Sun exposure would darken the spots so I have to stay entirely covered. I reached out to the company to try to get a partial refund. I talked numerous times to the manager who was pleasant and tried to help me to the extent that she could, but she said she could not authorize a refund and for that I would have to talk to the owner. She had said to me that considering what had happened to me, I was being very nice to her and the staff. She coordinated a phone call with the owner. The time for the call came and went and I did not receive a call so I reached out and eventually then the owner called. He first told me he is very busy and doesn't have a lot of time to talk about this. I wish I would have ended the conversation in that moment, because clearly this person was not interested in helping me or providing courteous customer service. Even though I had spoken to the staff about this situation repeatedly at this point, he claimed to have none of the details and asked me to explain everything again, and ultimately told me he would have to review what happened with the staff in order to come to a resolution. He told me he could not give me a definitive timeline of when he would be able to help me because he was entertaining guests at his house. On the call, he interrogated me, gaslit me, and berated me. He cut me off repeatedly and was fixated on why I didn't seek treatment from his doctors, asking me repeatedly why I did not see his doctors. Confused as to why we were talking about doctors I knew nothing about instead of what the company had did to me, and frustrated that he was not letting me explain anything because he kept cutting me off, I finally cut in to tell him I was not offered to see his doctors, no one told me he had doctors, and even if they had, I would not have gone to them because you harmed me, and because I can choose what doctor I go to. This triggered him and the conversation got even worse. He rose his voice "DON'T ACCUSE ME OF TELLING YOU WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR BODY." He would not let this go for the rest of the call and told me I was being combative for suggesting that, and that maybe he could help me as long as I stayed civil (as if he had not been raising his voice and cutting me off repeatedly). The call continued with him cutting me off multiple times, telling me this was not a priority to him, and saying I have a bad memory. I assure you I remember this conversation, every laser session, the lingering stinging sensation of the laser, and the spots I have to look down at every day very clearly. To this day, he has not offered me a full or partial refund and I am still covered in spots. Go to any other laser hair removal business, not this one.

Loraine finally came in, she appeared visibly agitated and mentioned she was running behind while another employee informed her that the patient scheduled after me was upset about the wait. At no point did she apologize to me for the significant delay. I asked whether it was still appropriate to proceed since the numbing cream had been sitting on my skin for such a long time. She simply applied more numbing cream and disappeared for another 30 minutes or so. I had taken the afternoon off for this appointment, but I certainly wasn't expecting to spend hours waiting because of poor scheduling and time management. When the procedure finally began, another employee interrupted to tell P.A. Loraine that a patient had returned and was very upset about an issue. Without hesitation, she asked someone else to finish my treatment and rushed out to deal with what she referred to as a "difficult patient." I have never spent thousands of dollars on cosmetic treatments only to be treated with such little regard for my time. The entire visit lasted more than four hours, and it felt more like waiting at a walk-in urgent care than receiving care at a premium aesthetic practice. As for the results, I had Clear + Brilliant laser, Sculptra, and Botox. The only treatment that produced noticeable results was the Botox. I did not see any meaningful improvement from either the laser or the Sculptra. Florida has no shortage of outstanding dermatology and aesthetic practices. Given this office's premium pricing, poor time management, lack of professionalism, and disappointing experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
