Recently I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Collins bike shop. I found his expertise to be unsurpassed and his service to be exemplary. I ended up buying two commuter bikes. He custom fit them to me and made several adjustments which made my writing enjoyment all the more enhanced. I have a number of friends who are avid cyclists and they all reinforce that Collins talent is unsurpassed. I would give Collins bike shop my highest recommendation and urge any consumer to visit his shop before purchasing a bicycle anywhere else.

(He has an engineering degree so he REALLY understands geometries and the mechanicals of bikes!) I rode mountain bikes a lot with him for a couple of years and then stepped away from the sport for a few years for personal reasons. He knew I had a passion for riding and was essentially one of the driving forces to get me back into something I absolutely loved. When it came time to building a new bike because my old one was given to my daughter, I knew there was only one person that would be up to the task. I was very particular about this build and Sam was so very accommodating to me and I trusted his advice because he knows my riding style. He wanted me to be completely happy with the bike and love it because if it came up short, I might of stepped away from the sport completely. Granted, he doesn't know the riding style of everyone that walks into his shop but he will ask the questions to get the feel of what the customer wants and help them choose what best fits them. I love the location of his shop too and not to mention Laney the shop dog that loves to greet you!

REI is what it is: a co-op of all things for exploring, living, and experiencing the outdoors…read more Cold weather, warm weather, hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, there's something here to fill your backpack and your sense of adventure. While this location is smaller than some, they've managed to cram a lot of things inside. Between that bit of everything and the employees there to answer questions and offer help, you should get an idea of what you need. Prices are reasonably consistent with other like-stores, but this location doesn't have the crowds levels of their competitors and that's a plus. However, because some businesses are still limiting the number of customers inside the store, I expect the "free to roam" won't last for long. As much as I like REI, I find it a confusing store in how they delineate sections of the store. There might be camping supplies in one main spot, but things you associate with camping might be over by the hiking things. While you don't have to be a co-op member to shop, there are some periodic "rewards" offered to members and on some goods, a reduced price. The Recreational Equipment Inc. store will likely not be a go-to place for me, only because there are local stores, I prefer; but even so, REI does carry some things I can't find at the other places, and it's always good to have options. For that, I like REI.

Owners, Mark & Tracy Rheaume went above and beyond in helping me pick out my first ever EBike. My…read morehusband, Tim, found their store on line as we are on a 5 month RV trip. I couldn't keep up with my husband as I only had a 6 speed bike. We stopped in and they were very helpful with my needs and cost. I wanted to purchase their Comfort Cruiser, but the manufacturer had been delayed in shipping the battery for the Cruiser. We were so disappointed as we were on our way to Miles, MT a 2 hour drive. Later that night, Mark & Tracy were able to make available the Pedego Boomerang at a price that I was willing to pay even though it was much more than the Pedego Comfort Cruiser. We drove back to Billings, MT, a 5 hour turnaround drive. I took it on a test ride and knew that this would work for me. I am not a great bicycle rider, but felt really comfortable knowing that I could start off slow. I purchased the Bike Lock that if it is stolen, Pedego will replace. A Scout Alarm if someone tries to move it will let out an Alarm through a phone app to notify me. A cell phone holder. A Pocampo Travel Bag "very colorful with Daisies" that sits on the back that will hold my water, wallet, etc. Two days later, we are in Spearfish, SD and found a nice easy paved bike trail. It was windy, but I rode it for 3 miles and enjoyed the easy peasy monitor buttons to change from Level 1 to 2. Looking forward to putting many more miles on our trip across the States. Mark & Tracy are wonderful owners who truly care about their customers and those of us who are from out of State. My husband and I highly recommend their Pedego store in Billings, Mt. You won't be sorry!

Called and spoke with the parts person yesterday, 7/30/24. They didn't have everything I needed,…read morebut i figured since i was in Billings I'd buy what they had. Told him that twice. Went to the dealership today. He remembered speaking with me. I again said I would like to get the parts. We talked a bit and I repeated yet again I wanted the parts. Another customer came up and interrupted us and Maynard left me and assisted him. I asked a second parts guy about it and was told, "Oh, we don't stock those." Maynard, at one point, went back to the backroom, I assumed for my parts. I was wrong. I went up to look at used bikes. They had one I was very interested in and was about to purchase it; except for three things; an older, grey-haired, heavier gent was more than a bit rude, a lady I dont know is sales or finance, offered to help but knew exactly NOTHING about the bike. The third straw? I returned to the parts counter, asked Maynard if he'd pulled my parts. His reply, "Oh, you want the parts?" That was it, I said "Never mind, I'm done" So, not only did I not get the parts I was after YOU lost a $15,000.00 sale.
