Every time we drive into Manchester, we pass this place. They're always decorated beautifully and I've heard great things about their food.
So I went up one Sunday and decided to try their Sunday roast. Walking in it was an absolutely beautiful place. Looks really fancy and expensive. The hosts and servers were lovely and fully explained everything I needed to know and let me know that a deal they had was a free cauliflower cheese with any roast dinner.
I went for the roast beef, with free cauliflower cheese (be rude not to really), and then for desert I went for the custard tart.
Service was quite quick, and looking at the drinks menu, I couldn't afford any wine haha. However, the roast came, it was perfectly cooked, there was mash, roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips, red cabbage, and gravy.
It was all really tasty and nice. Wasn't the best Sunday roast I've had but it's up there.
Then the desert was EXCEPTIONAL. The custard tart was smooth, vanillay, and had an amazing brullee top with a nice compot.
All in all it was a very good meal, and I need to go back for a normal meal someday. read more
