    Free cornbread

One of the few spots that was opened in the evening. We didn't know where to go in Orangeville so we decided to just go around and see what's open. Our server was very helpful. She gave us suggestions on what sides to get. She highly recommended the buttermilk Yukon mash. I guess it was so great, they apparently ran out already, that was too bad. Overall though, she was super nice to us and regularly check up on us. We got the brisket and pork schnitzel. I hear the schnitzel was great and my brisket, it was alright. It got a bit too salty for me as I ate more, but the beef itself was alright. It wasn't bad, it wasn't outstanding. It said "smoked", but I didn't recognize any smoked taste to it. It was still good, quite filling. The side of Mac and cheese is very generous and pretty good. It wasn't runny or too milky. It was definitely cheesy and the macaroni was cooked to perfection. I highly suggest it as a choice of side. The offered desserts, but we were so stuffed already with out food. I also really appreciate the corn bread as the free appetizer. It was delicious, with the cinnamon butter spread. The bread was tasty and soft, just perfect. I really enjoyed the meal here and the only reason I gave it a 4 is that it's not something I would go out of my way for. But, if you're here, check this place out!

Incredible!!! The Porters Punch drink was delicious and the complementary corn bread....Omggg...PHENOMENAL ! It was SO GOOD!!!! I also had the Sirloin and Back Bacon Burger which was very tasty as well and the fries were really good. Mmmm I can't wait to go back just for the corn bread!!

This is a delightful new restaurant in Orangeville. When we arrived we were seated immediately by very pleasant staff. Our waitress was polite & worked hard to get things right. The owner "Peter B" made the effort to greet us personally. We ordered something unique that was delicious, the Smoked Beet Salad. Something that I haven't tried before. Went on to order the Beef Brisket Sammy that was excellent as well. Staff delivered some additional warm BBQ sauce with the house made fries that capped off the meal. All considered..a solid dinner that's a definite do-over.

Brisket plate with Mac n Cheese and Candied Cabbage

I read the reviews and thought maybe I would give them a try. It's easy to find and wasn't very busy tonight, which isn't always a bad thing. I took a seat at the bar and was greeted pretty quickly. After looking at the beer taps I was offered a sample of their lager. I asked for a different sample and was told they only sample their beer. I guess that makes sense? Anyway, I ended up with a Hockley Dark which is an English Brown Ale. Pretty tasty start to my evening. I ordered the brisket with mac n cheese and candied cabbage. I was given some cornbread while I wait which was pretty good with the butter they served. I got the meal in a timely fashion and it looked pretty appealing. Let's start with the good... That candied cabbage was pretty darn tasty and the highlight of the dish. The brisket was very tender and had good flavor, but the smoke flavor was very slight and I didn't see the traditional smoke ring I have come to expect. With that being said, I really did enjoy the brisket and would order it again. The man and cheese was simply awful. I am still trying to figure out how they can even it call it that. It was dry and fell flat on flavor... so much so I actually had to ask for salt and pepper to choke it down. I told the bartender about it and she looked shocked as she typically enjoys it and even noted that they smoke their own cheese. After telling her about it she went right into the kitchen. Not sure what came of it but based on the reviews on here its a common theme that its the worse thing on the menu. I also heard the Red Velvet cake is dry as well... but cannot speak to that on experience. The ambiance is really nice though... except the weird pool table setup near the bar. I get it... but with such an upscale feel it just seems completely out of place. This place has a ton of potential and can be simply amazing... just need to fix a few minor things. Oh.. and they don't take American Express even though their Reserved signs all say American Express.

12 oz steak, fries, mac and cheese

I ate here for the first time tonight with my dad and his girlfriend who were visiting from out of town. Dad had the 12oz steak and us ladies had the ribs and wings. Dad really enjoyed his steak, but wasn't a big fan of the mac and cheese. We thought our ribs were tender, but the wings were almost rubbery and tough. I guess it's not a good idea to smoke wings? I had gravy on my fries, which was really tasty. The service was good, although it wasn't very busy on a Tuesday evening. Would I come back again? Probably not. For the cost of our meal we could have had a bigger, more tastier meal at Montana's. The food here was ok.

The smoke trout is just amazing.

I think this is the best resultant in town. My favorites are the smoke trout and the baby back ribs. Smoke trout is super tasty, best smoke fish in my life and very good if you only want a medium size dish. The Babyback ribs are spectacular, just order the 1/2 rack because this are huge and taste spectacular. He smoke mac n cheese is delicious. Beer is also good, ask for the blonde and black wolf.

It's half gone but that's because I couldn't wait to dig in!

We enjoyed the wings because they had no coating. Crispy and delicious. Sadly they don't have Buffalo sauce.

Crowsfoot Smokehaus - Platter with 2 portions of brisket

Good place if you are looking for smoked meat!…read more The brisket (that's the main thing I came for, and ordered 2 portions, an extra $6 per portion) was just ok a little dry! The fries were excellent, rosemary and the sweet fries! The fried chicken(which was pieces of chicken, I think was chicken thighs). The pulled pork was good as well. It's a huge place with a lot of seating and outside patio as well. Great service but only one person taking orders! A little odd! I would definitely come back again!

I'm finding restaurants are downsizing portion sizes & upsizing pricing. Even charging for items that were once free such as condiments, sauces, etc. We ordered two appetizers to start. The burnt ends spatzle & cheese as well as the German beer & cheese dip. Both were good but not great as I'd hoped. There seemed to be little flavour from the dishes. My main was the pulled pork sandwich with fries. Also had a side of jalapeños corn bread. The sandwich was good but once again was missing the "umph" that I was looking for. The corn bread was simply beyond dry & close to uneatable. I'd of asked for some butter but that would have been an up-charge, I'm sure. All in all, a bit disappointing as I was expecting some extreme flavour from this place! Our server "Anna" was very polite & did a good job. I don't think this is a redo.

Not fall off the bone as they were the year before. Pulled pork - not good at all. Had a vinegar flavour and really disappointed. Brisket - incredible and to die for. Al least one dish was great. Fries and slaw were very good. Burnt ends - for $17 you got 5 pieces swimming in a sea of sauce. 1/2 were flavorful and 1/2 so rock hard and impossible to chew. Overall this is the worst experience we have had with this take out. We get takeout every year once or twice each time we are up in the blue mountain. May need to try a chain like Montana's next time as we were so disappointed this time.
