Felt this event needed a review! First time attending this event I was told it's an annual event,…read morenot sure how many years but let's share my experience! The write up for this event was very persuasive, it really sparked my interest! So much so I bought tickets the day they went on sale. Purchased early bird VIP TICKET day the ticket went on sale! Was the VIP Ticket worth it? Arrived early they were very much prepared for people to arrive they had security outside you had to get wanded before entering. There was a little hiccup with my ticket, but very quickly resolved. Once you make it through security and get your wrist band, then pick up your swag bag with your food and drink tickets. VIP you received early entrance one hour before General Admission, a swag bag which had a nice glass, a cookie, a little tiny brownie bite, a pen, a rubber bracelet thing, a few stickers (2), a cardboard coaster. As a VIP you received 5 food sampling tickets, and five beverage sampling tickets. And a very nice VIP section. The VIP section had lots of things to do like pool tables, video games, pin ball machines, little seating areas, and tables, a bar where you can purchase drinks, the best part to me which I will get into further actually they might get their own review, there was casino game tables roulette, graps, and blackjack. The VIP section had a chocolate fountain which honestly was the only chocolate you could enjoy that was included with your ticket. There was other chocolate but it was for purchase. Like any event they have vendors, vendors were set up in the hall way areas it was nice the way they were set up. ( I wished the people at the entrance area where we picked up the vip swag bag would have mentioned that they have vendors and where they were. ) again some cute vendors that went along with the theme. Moving on to the food samplings that you can use your tickets to sample. Not a lot of options only 4 or 5 two of the same vendor at different locations in the room with the same menu. Not a big variety to sample most of the vendors had just pork options with your food ticket. Pulled pork, and macaroni and cheese at 4 of the vendors. There was a vendor with chicken but for purchase not included with the wristband or tickets. Most of the vendors had a small sampling and then an option to purchase. The VIP section had a table that was included with your wristband for 3 sampling's. (Again I wish that I was told about the VIP Section and that this was included with your ticket/ wristband. Okay I know you're waiting for the bourbon selection lots of bourbon this was definitely the stand out fitting considering it's the first word in the title of the event. I'm not a big fan of bourbon or whiskey but I really love sampling events like this. I love small distilleries. I'm a big fan of small batch liquors. I tasted a few standouts there was a maple bacon bourbon, a peach bourbon, a gingerbread whiskey I believe a premier bourbon and I tasted a gin. Yes, I did say gin that was really good very unique. There were others, but those were my standouts again. Remember, I am not a big bourbon fan so if you noticed I like ones that have other flavor profiles added to them. You can definitely taste a difference in small batch compared to massively produced the quality is top-notch. I did walk around quite a bit. I walk through all the vendor tables. There were a few bakeries that were there set up with tables that were selling baked goods. I did purchase from one bakery that I will be doing a separate Yelp review. Be sure to follow me so you can see. I will tell you most of my time was spent over in the VIP section at the blackjack table to me that was the best part of the event. So was the VIP ticket worth it I would say based on having the VIP section I would say it is downfalls for this not enough trash cans very, very few hard to locate, NOT ENOUGH food options, not enough VARIETY definitely not enough chocolate and can we please get a bottle of water with a VIP bag. WHERES THE BRISKET? WHERES the CHICKEN? WHERES the BACON? Better communication with guests to let them know what they have available. Had no idea that there were food trucks outside until after I was getting ready to leave. It would've been nice to know ahead of time that there was food trucks outside maybe offer a little handout that tells all the vendors where they're located, including all the sampling tables, and food trucks. Especially if you are using tables and chairs, please be mindful of your guests and their ability to move about the room without worry. The restrooms here were tidy and spacious. The parking lot is a bit small. I am unsure if the venue has overflow parking. The parking lot in front of the building will fill up fast. I am not sure if this place offers catering, but you are able to use your own caterer for your event. I believe if you are having a night event, you must clear the premises by 11 pm. Overall, for the time spent here, I enjoyed this venue. My only side eye is the limited parking. And if you are attending at night, be extra careful... the lighting outside is not good at all. You may have trouble finding this location at night due to the low lighting. But as you are approaching your turn slow down because you can easily miss the turn from the main street. I actually had no clue this venue existed in the city. I'm glad I was able to experience it and celebrate with friends. Have fun and enjoy life :)

The barn can hold a good amount of guests (my friend had around 150 or 175). The max it can hold is 200 guests. There is a covered deck area in the back of the barn perfect place for the bar. The venue offers a bridal suite, chairs, parking, tables, altar, and arch. Nice venue if you're looking for farmhouse/rustic style. Harleys Haven offers venue services for ceremonies, receptions, bridal showers, engagement party, elopement's, and rehearsal dinners. Nice setting overall. I would come back again!

If you want a hand in things or to get a pre-look at everything, don't do it here. They want to have free rein. The building is not wheelchair accessible. One of the bridesmaids was in a wheelchair and had to me lifted into the venue in her dress. There is no where to take pictures of the bridal party or families as it is in the middle of a block with a big parking lot in front of it. Severely overpriced. The kids booked the venue for their wedding in April 2024. They were sent a "Proposal Contract" but never an actual Contract. This concerned us from the start. So, they paid their 50% deposit and started working on other things. One huge thing that they should have been told was that it was Hampton University's homecoming, and the parade makes a U around the venue. Being a professional and knowing something that big happening should have been told to them. Their photographer and videographer barely made it before the ceremony started. They go no pre wedding photos. In the meantime, in August, I contacted Betty to get some referrals for catering, which she never sent to me. Even though she told our planner she did. As the days came closer and we were getting down to less than a week, my daughter was informed that it would take them about an hour to change the room over for the dinner settings. What do you do with 80 people when the majority of the space is being changed over. They suggested horderves. I spent another $600 unbudgeted money for extras. Had this been said in April we could have handled it a different way. Three days before the wedding I started looking at their social media accounts and noticed no cups or utensils in the settings. I called to ask. First, I was told that the caterer was taking care of it. My daughter had already told her it was a themed buffet and the caterers just deliver. She then changed it to they are having "unconventional" catering they would put out plastic items. So, three days before the wedding, I had to start rush ordering the food items needed. Another thing not budgeted. Again, why are they not paying attention or even writing down conversations. My daughter also asked for the dancing area to be in the center of the room. She was told they didn't really do it that way. She cried to me about it. I gave my concerns to our planner, and she called Betty, the conversation was far from professional. At one point our planner said "we can speak to each other civilly" she said she had told my daughter she would do the dance floor, which was a lie. She asked to see a setup of the tables then was hung up on . Within minutes, Betty was on the phone with my daughter's new husband about how they didn't trust her and she was not speaking to our planner. And that they saw the tables in April. This added so much stress they didn't need. Who remembers then?!? The next day they suddenly had a video "walk through" of the tables. The kids said she was just rude the whole time. But they didn't want to lose their $3500 deposit. I wish we had just lost it. She didn't hire a florist and put the bouquets together herself. My daughter had asked for a cascading bouquet, but it was round. And very fake looking. We are all really trying to figure out where the $7500 worth of things were. The kids did have a great day. Bur when you pay that amount of money for a venue, you expect much more professionalism and more for that amount of money.

Our experience was HORRIBLE. We were scheduled to arrive at 1130 with a ceremony start of 1200…read more They said the bride could arrive at 1100. They made her wait outside until 1130. The bride's room where she gets ready is just a bathroom and the only seat is a toilet. They were unprepared to give instructions to the wedding party and waited Until the ceremony start time to arrange the wedding party. Once we were seated in the ceremony room, which was after the scheduled start time we waited an additional 15 minutes while they cycled through several songs that were not on the brides list of songs. They were not prepared for the requested songs. During the ceremony they moved the dressing partition next to the sand mixing which greatly distracted from the bride and groom. After the ceremony they refused pictures without masks and asked us to leave. The bride, groom, and pastor did not have to wear masks the entire time inside but everyone else did. We could not even drop the masks for pictures. We were there for one and a half hours and it cost $800 and all we got was some paper flyers, a sand glass container, a certificate, and constant reminders about masks. Do NOT recommend at all.
