They gave me a quote in May. When I reached out to them in June the guy said my wife will call you back on Monday. I waited 2 Mondays and she never called back. I tried again and she finally told me they were in Rhode Island and not coming back until Fall. Do you think you could haver eached out and told me this when I tried reaching by phone and email several times? Glad I never gave you a deposit. All the time I wasted waiting on you to call back and now I have to find someone else. That says something about you. You have delayed me getting things ordered. Similar to the previous reviews, I contacted this local company to purchase and install a skylight shade. They were such, nice friendly people! Unfortunately, they do not follow through on your order. I paid a deposit with the expectation that the product would be received at their facility within two weeks and installation scheduled the following week. After that time had passed, I called and was told the supplier had not sent the product, so it was beyond their control. A couple weeks later, I called and I was told that the supplier told them to measure again for angles. The next day, he came out again to remeasure. Three weeks later, I called and was told -again- the supplier had not sent the product, so it was beyond their control. That day, I asked for my deposit refund and I picked up the check from their office the same day. read more

WOW! This business has gotten independent and indifferent. Thought I'd stay local and use this business again when I needed window treatment for my new sliders. Had used them in the past, and was satisfied with results. This time someone came out and measured, but never heard back from them. Called them back twice, but still no response. After three months waiting, stopped at showroom and remarked to sales consultant "business must be good, you never got back to us!" Her only reply was "yes, we're very busy!" Explained my experience over the last few months to her, and she said that someone would get back to us that day or the next. After waiting two more days for any response, I called Home Depot. Someone came out that next week, and new interior shutters will be installed before the end of the month. So much for shopping local! read more

*8:45AM 12/9/2021 SR 54 * Gotta love when my husband and I are driving our special needs daughter to therapy, and THE BLIND KING vehicle in front of us must have been on there phone considering they stopped at a stop sign for 5 minutes, and didn't go when there was multiple breaks in traffic, then proceeded to drive into the center of the left turn lane and block oncoming turners and then proceeded to get in the fast lane, and go 20mph, on a major state road. And when I look to see if the driver is on their phone, both the older female driver and her passenger FLICKED US OFF. Really wish I could've safely gotten a picture. But I refuse to be put other drivers at risk like this company. COMPLETELY CHILDISH, RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL ACTIONS. I will never use this company based off this alone. Hours of operation do not state "Appt. Only". Went to their place of business at 11:00. Sign on door said, "Closed". Wasn't quite sure I was at the right door. While I was standing there a woman passed by me but did not acknowledge me. Called the phone number while standing at the door and left a message. I did not receive a call back, so I called back later in the afternoon. Cheryl answered. She was very curt. I asked her if she had a part for my blinds and she stated I could email a photo of them. She did email back and stated she did not have the piece for my blind. I emailed back and asked her since she was in the business, where I might go for the piece. She did not reply back. read more

In 2007, We had blinds installed by Blind King across our Lanai. We get a lot of sun in that area, and finally two operating strings deteriorated. We called Blind king, made an appointment. The Owner came out removed the two blinds with issues around noon. I ask if he needed a check for service call. He told me no. I will be back around 4pm to reinstall them. At 4:15pm He returns installed the Blinds he had repaired. The charge was nominal, very reasonable. My Wife, and I are very very pleased with Blind King. Our Blinds install behind a shawdow type board trim, and are not easy to remove or install for installation or repairs. Thank You Blind King for the Fantastic Service. After making deposit of $3K in February, would not return calls for over 2 months. In April when the blinds were due to be installed, drove to the showroom to find out status. Blind King never ordered them and decided they didn't want to. They did refund the deposit, but what a waste of time. No one even called to say they were canceling my order! read more

very good! Old shades failed when I was in the hospital, Blind King was so competent that my son managed getting verticals installed (and also new miniblinds) before i got home, and without Mom's help! I'd say that's a remarkably good company to work with. Needed a little adjustment, they came right back. And now a year later, the coverings still work well, nice quality, good guys. I'd personally dismiss the poor reviews included here as sour grapes, they were just fine. read more

I asked a friend about her new blinds and she was very disappointed as her shutters do not open or close due to the way the measurements the factory did. Blind King stated they would fix this problem as well as the broken slat that came with them. Spent thousands of dollars and they will not come back or return calls for the problems to be fixed. I will not be getting my full house of shutters from this company. Too bad they do not have more reviews for people to make an informed decision before such a costly purchase. read more

Do not pay them until the order is completely installed. We have been waiting since February which is over 9 months for them to come back/call back/ resolve our order. I have called and emailed over a half dozen times with ZERO response. It is too bad I have to write this review because the actual blinds were a fair price and decent quality. Here we thought supporting local business would be a good thing, but not so with this company. They may present as knowledgeable. They may have made their blinds in the past, but don't now. Their follow up and customer service is poor. Placed our order in June 2016, and when they arrived to install the order was not complete or accurate. We have been trying for two months to get a missing part, have one blind cut correctly and get the arches we ordered. We place call after call and nothing but stall, stall, stall. They give a date and then nothing. No call to say there is still a delay. NOTHING! They wonder why we get upset. I do not recommend using this company! read more

When the shades finally arrived "Larry" wanted payment in full before job was completed as contracted. He could have totally bullied my mother (and probably others) had I not been on the phone with them. Avoid this company at all costs! I needed a new valance for my verticals on my lanai and a neighbor suggested I call blind king. I did not take the time to check reviews (big mistake) they set up an appointment for Jan 15 at 9:30 am by 10am and they were not there I called, the woman who answered said that they had been stuck on another job and they would be there at 3:30-4:00 OK, (red flag #1) why didnt they call? Finally they show up and measure ask for a 50% deposit which I gave them, now here we are Feb 4 and no valance, I couldn't get anyone to call me back and when I did finally speak with someone it was excuses after excuses!!! FINALLY my boy friend was able to contact them today and they agreed to refund my money, lets see how this goes!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THESE PEOPLE!!!! They are a joke!!!!! I purchased a couple thousand dollars worth of blinds and had them installed. It took weeks for my duettes/blinds to be installed. The blinds have only been up a couple of months now and one of my larger blinds will not operate . I have called and called for help and service but did not receive a returned call.You make your own judgement but I expected my blinds to at least operate!!! read more

After 22 phone attempts- I was told I needed to look for the charge and let them know if it took place. Horrible service. Paid for the roll up blind in full in March 2018 with a promise that it would be installed 2 weeks later. Never came. Called the office multiple times, spoke to different people who had no clue what was going on. Receptionist finally was able to get a hold of the owner on the 4th call and I was told that they were waiting on parts. My husband stopped by the office and was told the same thing. Few weeks later he stopped in again and demanded a refund. Was told that he could not get a refund until the following week. He stopped in again and was told that the shade would be installed the following Monday. It was installed July 16th, wrong color, wrong size, screw holes where they shouldn't be. Owner said he would have the correct size cut and would be here first thing following morning. Never came. My husband went back to their office and was told the owner would be here first thing this morning. A no show once again. July 24th and still no corrections. read more
