I had high hopes for this place, but never again will I go back. The bartender was beyond rude, gave me and my friend beer of her own choosing not ours, and when I tried to talk to her she ignored me and walked away to go talk to her friends. Also beware, they will take your license as well as your credit card (card i understand but not license) and they just throw them on a counter for anyone to take. read more

This was the worst place I ever have gone into. I am currently in Florida for a TDY and I decided to go out with a friend. I am currently under the age of 21 and I went in with no intent to drink at all, my intent was to drive my friend home. I go in, get the under 21 wristband, sit down for ten minutes, use the restroom, come back and sit for another 5 minutes and a guy comes up to me and kicks me out claiming that I had at least committed "3-4 crimes" and when I asked him what I did he wouldn't give me an answer and his only answer was that I needed to get outside and wait for my friend to close his tab. This was unbelievably stupid and I would love for them to show/ tell me what I did wrong. This is by far the most unprofessional, disgusting place I have ever went to. The people are even worse. They were extremely rude and unprofessional about everything. Not to mention it said the cover was $10 and they charged me $20. I recommend nobody ever goes there again. read more

This bar helps make this place feel like a small town, all the bartenders are very welcoming and most always have a smile on their faces. Dancing is a great plus and mixes it up from the typical bar where it's a bunch of hectic lights while subwoofers make you deaf, and gives you an opportunity to actually enjoy your night by the environment provided. Always has great prices for the amazing artists that come to town! read more

The Block treats the locals in this area like second class citizens and the staff is snotty and rude. There are a couple people that work there I enjoy but 95% of the staff and the owners are rude. I do not recommend this place at all anymore and I am a great supporter of local business. This place does not appreciate the local people nor care if you patronize their business. My opinion stay away and go to the smaller more local friendly bars and pubs. I was also told the over priced cover charge of $10.00 (really not worth it) was because "all the other clubs had shut down and they can charge whatever the hell they want now." and "It is to keep all the people that used to go to Nightown away." When I was in there last night there was maybe 30 people in the whole place. I guess people don't agree with the charging whatever they want policy. read more

Normally, it's not too bad. The staff can have very extreme reactions though. So, the other night, I went there and I took two shots of mixed liquor(one was a Lemon Drop, and the other was a Washington Apple) after my friend insisted we take shots. Through out the rest of the night, I babysat a beer in my hand for a couple hours; I probably took 2 sips out of it, maximum(that's not an exaggeration). I set my beer down next to my friend and told him I was going to use the bathroom. After I handled my business, those two shots from earlier gave me some discomfort, so I decided to purge my system; this normally happens to me when I drink any liquor at all. My stomach just does not cooperate with liquor. I calmly walked over to the bathroom stall, threw up in the toilet, flushed it, and washed my hands and face. So, after I came back to the table, I went to the bar to grab a cup because that's how I like to drink my beer. As I was pouring my beer into my cup, a bouncer came up to me and said, "hey man, you're cut off". I said, "excuse me?". He then asked me if I threw up in the bathroom, which my response was "yes, I did a few minutes ago". He had me follow him to the bar to ask the bartender if I was cut off, and she said, "yeah, someone said they saw you throw up in the bathroom". I said, "alright, well whatever beer I have left, I can do what ever you want me to do with it". It essentially ruined the rest of my time at the Block because I hate it when people treat me like a child, and it basically turned me off from being a customer anymore. Based on my recollection and ability to retell the story in vivid detail, you can be the judge of how intoxicated I was(the answer is "not at all"). read more

The theme of the bar is very nice and welcoming, but the bartenders aren't so great. Ordered a Long Island, not necessarily sure what I got but it sure didn't taste good, nor was it a Long Island ice tea. read more
