The bouncer checked my friends ID 5 times and we went to go to the show and buy one drink and they had mentioned one of my friends called the bouncer a B word and kicked us out. We were completely sober and from the second we walked in they weren't welcoming whatsoever. So tell me why me and my old lady go and get here around 12 go in and get our drinks just chillin btw my old lady's 20 so yes not legal but literally 2 months away not that it matters. the point is that we had no issues all night up until 3:10 when the bouncer that hasn't been doing his job all night just walking around the dance floor dancing or standing behind the bar itself on his phone. who only wanted to come up to my old lady the exact moment I'd go to the bathroom or get more drinks trying to question her as if we didn't just make eye contact as I bought my drinks and walked away so that right there was very questionable. he had seen us drinking all night but when the last 45 minutes come around and all of a sudden he cares about doing his job trying to pick up trash then questions my old lady after I HAD BOUGHT and made EYE contact, brought the drinks put them on our table and went to go piss but that wasn't an issue when it most of the night at the SAME TABLE all night plus when we took a shot in front of him for the multiple time now, he wants to come and take the FULL drink I just paid for and throw it away then says if "he sees it again we're out" but the 2 hours ago after we got there or the multiple time we took a shot it just didnt make sense to me because you didn't care now all of a sudden you want to do your job like you have been all night which hasn't been the case but it okay waste my full $5 drink. right yeah I won't be back ever again thanks but no thanks even 2 months from now so many better places to go so please don't waste your money on a service like this!! AGAIN I UNDERSTAND and completely agree with abiding rules to keep your liquor license.... But when it's 45 minutes before close and you haven't been doing your part I find it very VERY weird plus taking a brand new drink from a 21+ adult if we weren't kicked out because what were we of myself going to do after that? TLDR: not a real safe place for women, queer, or POC. - it's a trap. I believed coming to this bar for a bachelorette was going to be safe and fun. We are from ATL and use to the freedom and acceptance of the queer community as well as POC. Splash bar did NOT offer the same vibe, which it should've as a known local hub for the queer community. The queens were beautiful, but you could tell they were cautious, which we quickly learned why ourselves. Jordan - ex security guard - proudly showed us his white privilege card from his wallet and proclaimed his radicalized ideals against the queer community on no kings day. As a queer Latin American, I was frightened by this and reported to security. The security was absolutely displeased by him being there because he was kicked out previously, but the owner did not permit their security to actually remove him if he wasn't being an "issue" that night. So not only did splash bar feel like enemy territory for the queer community, but also for women in general. Thank the gods for the friends we did make because they protected us and helped us have such a great time. However, DO NOT BE FOOLED. This "gay bar" is staged like more of a freakshow for yt bigots and racists to gawk, laugh, and point at. The owner of this bar should be ASHAMED of themselves and all I can hope for is that this review will help them do better. Whatever "haven" this is supposed to be is A TRAP. read more

Well the, since we're here and we're queer. I wanted to at least hit up a gay bar before we leave PCB. See what the local gay scene is all about. Theres ample parking everywhere. Plus the space is pretty unassuming as well. The inside dance floor area is where we ordered our drinks. I ordered a Roney Special, my signature drink is self explanatory. Super simple, but I think the bar tender didnt know what "neat" meant. So he shook my bourbon on ice when I asked for "neat." Anyways,, moving on... Shots guy was very nice. Kept a good conversation going and not just out slinging shots walking around in sexy undies. The drag show was very entertaining as well. Lipsyncing and the non lypsyncing type. All the acts were very talented. Anyways, aside from the bartender thing, it's a pretty good gay bar. I can definitely see myself coming back for drinks and a good time. There's a $10cover and yet you can't even go inside because one employee is late. They told us to wait 5min. Great music and stiff drinks, that there is rarely a long wait to get one. The crowd really depends on the weekend, but does get really crowded after 11:30 on Saturdays when an out-of-town queen is coming through. Generally more of a dudes bar. There is an out door area to hang, as well as an area inside. The DJ is great, which I didn't expect in such a small bar. On the down side, cover does tend to be over priced for an average gay bar - typically $10. Also, it gets pretty smokey inside, although this seems to be the standard in Panama City Beach. read more

My husband and I go to Splash Bar often. No one cares if you are straight, gay, lesbian, bi, or just curious. From the very first time we went there, everyone was welcoming and kind. We have made many wonderful friends there. Drinks are made well and you have your choice of the inside or out side bar. The drag shows are entertaining and some time there are visiting drag queens from out of town performing. I know some people have been unhappy with a $10 cover charge but I personally feel it keeps trouble makers out. We have never seen a problem at Splash only an occasional patron that might have had one too many. I, as an "older" female have never felt threatened or uncomfortable in any way. The space inside is a little small but there is a wonderful out side area with tables. If you want a good spot for the show don't wait till the last minute. We love Splash and always have a great time when we are there. read more

it was really fun, i went with a few friends and we had the best time dancing and screaming songs. it was my first club experience and i felt completely comfortable to be there around people who don't care what you're doing. the dance area is cramped, if you get a good spot you better stick to it. towards 12-1 the place is a tad more cleared out and it's easier to dance and have fun. the outside area is really nice and good place to go if you need to calm down or it gets to hot, etc. it's way quieter and there's beautiful queens serving drinks. going again saturday! read more

First of all this bartender couldn't be bothered to help us...four of only ten people in the place and when she did finally come over couldn't even muster up a smile. She looked lost like she was new or had no clue where she was or even what planet she was actually on. We ordered four lemon drop shots that came to $37 and When asked why, she couldn't tell us nor what kind of vodka she used. SMH! She was so busy outside smoking with her friends she couldn't come into to serve us in under 15 min. There was some what we assume to be a homeless guy in the place who kept gesturing to his penis with the known suck it gesture and felt the need to be everyone's back up singer for karaoke all night long. The staff did nothing to stop or prevent this even though it seemed to get on all the patrons nerves. Pride shot signs everywhere for 2$ when we asked the bartender what they were she had no idea what we were talking, told us they didn't have that and when we pointed to the signs she quickly remembered and pulled out what looked like muddy water in my grandmothers old Tupperware. We will NEVER RETURN to this place! The previous night we had another bartender outside who was cool as hell and we had a good time. Drinks are cheap, you will need plenty of alcohol if you plan to stay here for more than ten minutes. The dancers are hot.. The Thursday night Drink or Drown - $6 gets you drinks all night long - was not a bad deal. The "dancer" was a beautiful man with absolutely no interest in dancing. He spent the evening stomping about on the bar, showing his dangling bits to anyone who wanted to give him a dollar ... all the while looking as if he would rather be anywhere else. There was one rogue, local, lesbian shamelessly hitting on straight girls, chasing them around the dance floor with her crotch and doing her level best to get them drunk. Eventually, the old girl got too drunk to remain upright, paid her tab and left. But, not before she had knocked over a bar stool and scared the heck out of the few gay out-of-towners in the place. Overpriced for as small as that place is. First, when I arrived there, the bar was privately booked and me going there for the first time, I didn't know. The owner was a complete asshole about it. Second, totally felt uncomfortable there and the only time I didn't feel so uncomfortable is when I was having a nice conversation with the bartender. My husband got threatened a few times by black guys (not racist, btw) when a few girls were dancing with him. They even threatened to stab him for dancing with their girls.
