We were in Pensacola for Labor Day weekend and just had to have one of those fruity slushy drinks straight out of the machine. They are what they are -- too much sugar and just the right amount of alcohol in a non environmentally friendly styrofoam cup that keeps it perfectly cold. Husband and I had the Octane, the Willie Whacker and Swampwater. The Willie Whacker was my fave and had three different liquors. Coincidence? Love the open air bars and live music. Minor annoyance that if you open a tab you can only use it at the bar you opened it at and one has way more drink choices, so we ended up opening two separate bar tabs there. If you want live music, a relaxed vibe and sugary, buzzy drinks this is your spot. read more

Was visiting Pensacola beach and boardwalk and found this "HAPPENING" place . Superb ambience . Fantastic location right on boardwalk . They have an amazing bar and food service. Beer varieties are less but they have good ones. Loved their LIVe MUSIC! Wow ! So much of energy . Amazing crowd . Many were dancing in the floor .. loved the ambience with live music . They had smoke and bubbles .. looked unreal. Price was a bit high but ok for visiting .. liked it overall. 4/5 read more

Wonderful staff and super spacious area! They are more than just daiquiris, so don't pass this place up. I'm not a huge daiquiri fan, but I did taste test a couple and they are really good! The Liquid Marijuana has the highest alcohol content. No, it doesn't taste like pot. I enjoyed the band and love the water view. They are directly next door to Hooters. Strolling around the boardwalk at night and decided to try out their myriad of frozen drinks. After a couple of samples I decided on the Bushwhacker - 151 rum, chocolate liqueur, and vanilla and coconut flavors. It was really quite good. My friends and I stilled in for drinks on a weekday afternoon. We were promptly greeted when we sat down at the bar and the host was super friendly! She allowed us to sample a couple of the new mixed frozen drinks they had. We tried the new King Cake and I actually loved it! Tasted very similar to birthday cake in my opinion. Such a great spot on the beach (and boardwalk) for a tase beverage and they almost always have live music. I can't tell you how many nights I spent here in my 20's and I always had a great time! Service can be "meh" but it's always busy so it's kind of what you'd expect. When visiting in July, I had a few days when I stopped by for a bushwhacker and a few nights where I wanted to just listen to music and dance with some friends. Such a great time! I'd recommend purchasing their reusable mug for you are going to visit a few times week so that you can get a discount on refilling it. Trust me, it's a better deal to do it that way. And feel free to ask for some mixed daiquiris and see what kind of concoction you come up with. Bartenders are usually pretty good at blending and mixing their drinks so just ask for a recommendation. I like the Orange Dream and Topical Itch and the Bushwhacker and Pina Colado and Rum Runner...but honestly, you can just enjoy any of them on their own. But it's a good idea to mix a few just to try different flavors. Enjoy! They do check ID's so be sure you have one with you! It's easy to spend the day at the beach (where you don't need your ID) and then stop by here for a drink and if you don't have your ID, you can't get a drink. Lesson learned. We visited Bamboo Willies during the Crawfish Festival, and enjoyed drinks, crawfish, and live music! Although the band absolutely needed to hire a lead singer, the instrumentals were great. The crawfish were super yummy, and our waitress was great. She checked in on us frequently and got our drinks to us quickly. This place has a HUGE selection of frozen drinks, and their cocktail menu also has lots of options to choose from. The rum bucket was delicious! read more

While on vacation, always make it a point to stop in at Bamboo Willies. I was very disappointed this year! They are not selling bar food any more and all chairs and high tops have been removed. Came here for the bushwhackers and I was not disappointed one bit! It's a bar in a little strip area of the beach with plenty of stores and restaurants. The bay is right outside the bar and with a nice little beach leading into the bay, this is the perfect spot to come get some drinks and head to the beach with family or SO. We did not stay long for the night, but from what I have heard, the night life is pretty stout there. read more

Right in my local area and on the beach near shopping and other restaurants. Like Alvin's Souvenir Shop and Hooters. So many flavors to choose from. This very trendy hot spot and bar serves up drink, beverages and smooth slushees. Right off the back is the beach. You can sit at the bar or facing the beach or take the steps and be on the beach sipping your cool concoction! Mix and match flavors and see what you come up with. We bought the souvenir cup and refills are at a discounted price. Also, I will be back tomorrow for more refills!!! read more

Came in March which was perfect off-season time- not too busy but definitely got crowded at night. Great place to stop for a drink (or four) and the frozen drinks are killer. Have been going to this place for a few years now. Excellent bands, fair staff and expected bar food, which is fine. Always was addressed by the same bar staff as always. They were not perfect but Always professional. Why are they all gone, I wonder? Hmm.. Just an interesting thought. Anyways, moving on. The band they had this evening was great. Not particularly my type of music, but they delivered! Had a few IPAs this evening. Ordered another and got received a can popped open I instead of a draft. No big deal, I can drink it. She proceeded to make a scene yelling at the other bar tender on duty over this can of beer. I'm sitting here watching this go down thinking WOW. She brings back the draft and sets it down and walks away. Okay, so what did I do wrong here? I asked for another draft that was already on the ticket in the system? Really don't understand the deal. Came back for another draft later on served by another bartender on a new shift, and this part was disturbing and unprofessional. The bartender went to get another draft beer, and the other bartender IDK (black male with a cap on) follows her with his phone under her skirt, getting nude or panty shots to post online. So disrespectful to the business and to the customers. He was high fiving his buddies after as if this was an accomplishment. I brought my 15 year old daughter with me that was sitting in a separate area. Where was and where is the manager to address this!!?? Will definitely be returning because the bands are usually excellent. This type of behavior should not be tolerated where people with families come in here to enjoy themselves. read more

It's not tourist season but I can see how this place would be jammed up. All kinds of flavors of daiquiri, plenty of bar space and a separate area with a music stage and tables. They don't have food but allow to bring in if you purchase drinks. It's right on the beach on right next to Hooters. The staff is really friendly. This is an okay place. We were here on a Friday afternoon and they had a man playing live music and a few people hanging out at the bar. I had the Tiger Itch and it was pretty good- nice and fruity, not too boozy and had a lot of flavor. The "selling point" of this whole place is definitely the fact that it's right on the beach and you can walk back and forth and get drinks and then go out and enjoy the beach area. I wish I had thought about checking this place out at night, because I'm sure that it's a popular hangout spot. Weird note: they were doing some work on the inside with a loud drill, that was definitely killing my chill vibe. I'm not sure why that couldn't have waited to be done in the morning, when there aren't customers there, but whatever. I just found it odd. Bamboo Willie's Lots of slurpee machines for all kinds of frozen drinks. I think this would be really good in the summer when there is a crowd. The frozen margarita was good and the bar was pretty crowded. People brought in pizza from next door, so I think they only serve drinks. Great fun place! read more
