This place doesn't make much sense. It seems popular mainly because it's one of the few spots in Jacksonville that combines a playground with beer, not because of the quality. The food is overpriced and underwhelming. The coffee is also misleading--what they label as a café latte doesn't include milk or sugar. If you want either, you have to pay an extra $2, bringing the total to about $7.75 for a basic latte. They also don't offer simple options like splenda or standard sugar, seemingly pushing customers toward paid syrups instead.

Went for a workout class this morning and it was 10/10. Yoga turned more into hot yoga and it was so so fun meeting everyone and the instructor. Highly recommend & can't wait to come back for game days!

The Block Jax is awesome! I went for Panama vs Croatia game. On some fifa World Cup games, you'll need to buy seating online on their website per seat and for other games it's opening seating throughout. Make sure to get there early as parking is a bit scarce sometimes. There is a ton of food options to choose from. You can order it from your phone and then pick it up from the vendor after you get an alert when it's ready. Great big screens to view the game!

Finally made it to this place and it was such a fun time! There is such a good variety of food and I tried a bunch of different things. They were all pretty tasty. I like being able to order from wherever I am and just going to grab it when it's ready. Saves a lot of waiting in line time, which I imagine can get quite long at peak times. There is a lot of great seating and the service is all great. I didn't get to check out the dog park portion but if I know Kanine social I'm Sure it's great. I feel like things are a little on the pricey side, but not prohibitively so for a nice soecial venture out.

We chose this spot to celebrate my daughter's Sweet 16. The DJ made her day extra special by playing Stevie Wonder's "Happy Birthday". We ordered shawarmas and fries, and everything was fresh and flavorful. It took a little while to find a table because it was busy, but once we were seated, we were able to relax, enjoy our meal, and celebrate together.

I told myself we would not be coming to The Block until the hype died down and it was less crowded but when I friend from out of town really wanted to check it out we joined. I am really glad we checked it out because while yes there were a lot of people and yes the parking was full it never felt crowded. We came around 4:00 pm on a Saturday so I was surprised that there was plenty of seating and tables for a large group. For food I got a Chicago dog and a spicy watermelon margarita, both were good but expensive as you would expect. This is a wonderful place for kids and / or big groups. I also loved the live music it made for a very fun vibe!!! This is such a cool spot and I am glad we have this new(ish) spot in Jax and I will continue to support it!!!

Cool spot with plenty of food options. Thought it would be open later but 10pm is good probably for noise. Kids loved the play area and the food and the enormous screen. Great addition for Jacksonville!!!

The cleanliness in the dining area is a serious issue. I saw a large roach right where people sit down to eat, not in the bathroom, but out in the open. On top of that, the restrooms had a strong odor. The food is extremely overpriced for the small portions you get, which makes the lack of sanitation even more disappointing. I didn't feel comfortable eating here, and I hope management addresses these problems immediately. * I only put one star because you have to put something in order to make a review*

If you're looking for the ultimate local vibe, The Block Jax is exactly where you need to be. The atmosphere here is fantastic. Spacious, welcoming, and perfect for a night out. I recently stopped by and grabbed a burger from Stack'd 904, and honestly? It was easily one of the best I've had. Juicy, flavorful, and hit the spot perfectly. One of the best things about this place is the variety; they have several great food options to choose from, so there is something for everyone. To top it all off, the live music was incredible. It really levels up the whole experience and makes it the perfect spot to hang out, eat well, and support local.

What a great venue and convenient location. This place is busy and fun! Really happy to have them in the neighborhood. Went for a birthday party (we had 15), was first in line and got to grab 4 tables in the upstairs bar. Speaking of that, it is a family friend and pet friendly place and if that's not your thing, you can go upstairs and still get the whole vibe and better views :). The bartenders upstairs were knowledgeable and quick and super friendly. A few of us patronized the food trucks and we all liked what we got. I did look at the pet area and got yall some pictures but I have not used it yet.

More seating options closer to stage with turf.

10+ places to get food Unique engaging playground Dog park Large 21+ area Stage area with lots of seating The entire place is fenced except the main entrance which I like. I was welcomed but a fun and friendly guy who helped me navigate the place and order food. The food was easy to order and arrived quickly. Clean bathrooms and hang out areas for everyone. Dogs have their own park, water bowls and patio area. My only concern was the parking. We did get a stop when we arrived at 4pm but it was crazy when we left at 6:30ish. So prepare for that.

Fun spot to watch the games or hang with community. Kids play area and dog area. 21+ upstairs. Sometimes they charge for expected large traffic. Love that they brought this to jacksonville. Parking can be difficult. Follow the map for the over flow

Located in a 101-year-old building that used to be an A&P grocery store, this space perfectly blends history, creativity, and community. I love that so much of the original architecture has been preserved -- and the fact that it was designed by a woman architect back in the day makes it even more special. The Cove offers so much: daily coffee service, cooking and cake-decorating classes in "The Lab," yoga and meditation on Wellness Wednesdays, Social Sundays focused on mindfulness and connection, and even Art & Wine nights where you can sip, snack, and paint while listening to live music. They're also about to open Sticks & Stones, a private cigar club next door that will be available to members -- it's going to be such a great addition to the experience. The next membership cohort begins November 1st, and spots are limited to just 150 members to keep things community-focused and personal. They also host networking events, lectures, and business education workshops, so it's a great mix of social and professional. Whether you come for a coffee, an event, or to meet new people, The Cove Social Club is one of those places that makes you feel instantly connected and inspired.

The…read moreproperty feels clean and well kept, the beds and pillows are comfortable enough, and the overall vibe is pleasant. But if a good night's rest is your priority, you may want to look elsewhere. The AC unit is loud and occasionally puts out an unpleasant smell, which was a nuisance throughout the stay. The walls are paper thin. Conversations from neighboring rooms came through clearly, and the hallway doors slam constantly with no relief. We managed to doze off between 11:30pm and 4am before being jolted awake by slamming doors and a neighboring couple having a full-blown argument in the hallway. Not exactly the relaxing night we had in mind. A few other small gripes: no blackout curtains, though the shades do a reasonable job, light creeps in from the sides. There is also no ice machine on the floors, though they do provide pre-bagged ice at the front desk downstairs. On the brighter side, breakfast was a nice touch if it is included in your rate. It is not a buffet but a made-to-order setup with a choice of omelet, burrito, or sandwich. We went with a fully loaded veggie option and it came generously stuffed. Nothing extraordinary taste-wise, but a solid and filling start to the day. The gym was a good size, though the free weight selection skews heavy, so if you prefer lighter weights you may find yourself out of luck. Clean, functional, and fairly priced for what it is, but bring earplugs.
