My flowers for Mothers Day were left outside the neighborhood gate on the road. I returned the call from the delivery person right away to give the gate code and the person texted me back that they weren't going back. I called my neighbor to get the flowers. Last year my flowers for Mother's Day were stolen because of this same issue. DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST. Worst customer service hands down. read more

I placed a flower order for Mother's Day but was then notified 12 hours later, after payment had been taken online, my order had been cancelled. No explanation, no response from the business when I emailed them asking for an explanation as to why the order was cancelled. The business also does not answer their phone, it simply rings out until a long winded voicemail explains they are "busy" and try back later. I will NEVER order from them again. This company deserves zero stars! My son ordered flowers for me and paid to have them delivered on Mother's Day (5/12) and they were not delivered until sometime in the early morning hours of 5/17. They were left on a picnic table and the card was wet from the rain. One year they had a problem with their flowers two days before valentines day. They called me, explained the problem and had already found a flourist who could have my order made and delivered at the time I had requested. My dad passed away on 5/5 and I had two friends send me flowers through this florist. Bouquet #1 was left in the direct sun, no knock on the door, not even left by the front door. Second bouquet- again no knock at the door, flowers were left about 5 feet from the door, again in direct sun. I have tried calling, text messages and emailing this company for a week now to resolve this issue. No response at all! We even tried taking the flowers back to them yesterday, so that we could at least communicate with them. Their address online is bogus, it belongs to a sushi restaurant. Absolutely never order from this company! I have contacted the people who sent flowers through them so that they can dispute the charges. It is sad that a local florist can operate this way. My St Patrick's Day was going well until 5pm 3/17/2023 when the St Patrick's Day Bouquet from 1-800-Flowers arrived. The local shop they used was The Bloomin Dragonfly in St Augustine, FL The first photo is what I paid for. The 2nd photo is what I received. NO Green roses, NO green carnations, NO white daisies, and NO shamrock ribbon! Looks like they threw in whatever they had left at the end of the day. Wasn't even artistically arranged. I called 1-800-Flowers to complain of this abomination of a bouquet and that it was in no way like the photo or suited for St Patrick's Day. I called The Bloomin Dragonfly and they don't answer the phone. They send an automatic text after you call them saying they'll get back to you asap or text them what we want. I told them I was disappointed in this arrangement and if I can come by to have it fixed. It's been over 24 hours and they still haven't responded to my texts. I looked them up but they are half hour away from me. And their website said they only do deliveries. I guess it's all luck of the draw on which florist you get who works with 1800flowers. read more

Received a small bouquet for my bday sent by my sister in Washington state from this florist. She said she used FTD. Had another sister spill the beans about flowers being sent but they would be coming on Sat because they didnt deliver on Sun. By then it was evening, I'd been home all day and no one had been to the house. Just because, I went outside and there in the corner of the garage door - outside, not covered, just in the vase on the ground, were these flowers. Pretty? Yes. I had an incredibly negative experience with the bloomin dragonfly. I ordered an orchid and balloons for my mothers birthday. The flowers that arrived were not orchids and no balloons were included. I was in touch with someone and was told I would receive a refund. Over the next three months, I did not receive a refund and The Bloomin' Dragonfly ignored many phone messages and emails from me. I ordered the "Sunny and Cheerful Garden" for my future daughter in law on the day that was supposed to be her wedding shower which was cancelled (as well as her wedding ceremony) due to Covid 19. I wanted this basket because it was more special then a vase of flowers. When she sent me a pic, it was a vase of flowers.... NOTHING AT ALL like I ordered. I called 4 times and wrote 2 emails asking them if they sent the wrong thing, maybe there was a reason why, if they could resend what I ordered or give me some type of compensation ($140 order) and NEVER got a response! I reached out to my cc company and it is being disputed but they replied with a "contract" that says they are not liable for anything, the florist is just part of their "group". I've used various florists in the Burlington area for a few years, primarily for sending my wife flowers while she's at work - always a nice surprise, or at least she tells me. After using some of the bigger name shops, I decided to give The Bloomin' Dragonfly a try this time around. The folks I spoke to on the phone were polite and nice, and the flowers were wonderful; my 3 star rating reflects challenges I found with their customer service. Very nice, polite, etc., but left me without confidence that things would go smoothly. When I first called, the person answering didn't identify the business by its name, or anything indicating I had called the right number. It was unclear as to whether the person knew whether or not the business could help me with a retail/delivery transaction. I asked about whether or not the flowers could be delivered that day, or if they had to be the following day, and my question was deflected and not addressed directly. Providing my information was difficult - frequently mistakes that contradicted what I had said were made, which consumed a bit more time than it should have. These mistakes were also reflected in the brief card I requested, which contained spelling/grammar errors not reflected by my dictation, and would have been caught with a 10 second proofread. Although I do like to support the smaller, lesser-known companies that don't funnel business through 1800flowers.com or the like, I'm not so sure I'll be returning to The Bloomin' Dragonfly in the future, and definitely not for holidays/times of the year that generally stress florists. I'd be more likely to stop by in person, which would presumably circumnavigate the customer service challenges. read more

In addition to helping me with my selection of flowers for a bouquet for a friend, Krista gave a quick tutorial on how to preserve flowers and how to cut the stems (in addition to offering advice about ordering arrangements to be delivered out-of-state) . A well-organized and friendly atmosphere is what you can expect to encounter - not to mention the unpretentious and courteous customer service that is characteristic of great businesses here in Vermont. I ordered a gift basket online from Bloomin Dragonfly for same day delivery to UVM rehab, it never got there, my credit card was charged, and I cannot reach the flower shop by phone, I only get an answering machine with a strange message about how they do not offer a "pick up service" anymore, just delivery and that they would do the delivery "as soon as we can". I can reach the number that charged the card, "the flower shop network" and they did say they would reverse the credit card charge. I ended up getting Kathy and Co. flowers to deliver a gift basket instead and found them to be very helpful, sending the basket for same day delivery. read more
