I was lucky enough to receive a beautiful arrangement from my hubby, who purchased them from The Village Greenery Florist. It was Valentine's Day and I wasn't sure if I'd be getting flowers. Let's face it, you hope you get something, even if it's a "greeting card holiday". I love to gush about my husband, he's kind, caring, and just amazing. So no surprise when he surprised me with flowers. I was about to leave the garage when I saw a delivery van parked outside of our driveaway. The young guy delivering flowers said, "Are you Carla?" He gave me my flowers and was on my way. The arrangement is beautiful, lots of beautiful flowers in the hues of pinks, reds, purples, and whites. Just pretty all around. If you ask me what the best part of the flowers would be, I'd have to say the card from my husband. Pros: -Beautiful arrangement -Received flowers via delivery -Delivery guy was masked -My husband Cons: -The delivery guy's choice in music (it was hardcore metal), not my taste, but to eat their own. My daughter and son in law order flowers for me for Mother's Day. When I received the flowers they were already wilting and some were brown on the edges. The quality of the flowers was extremely disappointing. Even though I added water to them to keep them as fresh as possible, two days later they were wilted to the point that I had to throw them away. Didn't even last a week. Very disappointed. read more

We just ordered a flower arrangement from our florist in Pittsburgh, Breitinger's Flowers. They are an absolute fantastic flower shop and they sent this order to Village Greenery to be fulfilled. When you are sending flowers or an arrangement to someone out of state you can only hope that fate deals you a good hand with the florist they choose but on the numerous occasions that we've asked Breitingers to do that they have delivered above and beyond! Ordered Flowers online. The Flower arrangement was not what was pictured. Missing items, poor quality flowers. We called and were offered a refund. THEN a few hours later this guys shows up banging on the door yelling profanity. My wife calls me at work to tell me "a man with a Swastika on his mask is banding on the door and yelling". Turns out this person is with the Village Greenery Florist. He was there demanding the old flowers back. Turns out it was an anti Swastika mask but I don't know...maybe banging on someone's yelling with any Swastika on it. Then the guys flips my wife as he drives off. read more

I live in FL, but not the St Augustine area and had not tried to order from VG before today. I called just after 1 pm to order two arrangements for friends in St A. The lady who answered was nice, but had a heavy Asian accent so I had a difficult time understanding what she was saying. She asked if she could call me back right away. I've worked with a lot of florists over the years and have left a few voicemails but this was the first time one said they would call me back. But no problem. After 45 min had gone by with no call back, I decided to try again. This time, she said she had tried to call back but must have had the wrong phone number written down. She put me on hold, but I was immediately disconnected. Decided to try another florist, when she called back. Was wondering how she managed to call me back if she really had had the wrong phone number. Also wondering how their phones apparently don't have a caller ID display? Whatever. Gave it another shot. Asked about a particular container--very pretty--advertised on their website for Christmas (this was in December). She said she thought that container was from a year or two ago but she'd check. No, it wasn't in stock. I decided to order another arrangement I'd seen on their website, with a simple glass cube container. I gave her the SKU number for the 2nd arrangement, but neither the title nor the number came up in their database. At that point, I gave up. Using another florist. I always call local florists directly; never use 3rd party sellers. And I never place orders online, because I like to see if the florist has those particular flowers or containers in stock. Often I will place an order a week or two out so they have time to order specific flowers. Having them see the pic on their website helps ensure that what I order is what's delivered and there are no substitutions of which I'm not aware. VG might work for walk-in orders, but not orders that are phoned in. VG needs to overhaul their website. It's what out of town people use to send a specific arrangement. And maybe hire an additional employee for customer service, as they seem to be too busy to take orders over the phone. read more

I had a wonderful experience with this florist. The lady that took my order was incredibly sympathetic and understanding. I wish I had gotten her name. My daughter is in st. Augustine for school, she was feeling homesick and just having a bad day. Therefore, I was having a bad day. The lady listened and talked about her own kids going away for school. Awful arrangements, its a complete ripoff. Doesn't even deserve the 1 star. Cheap arrangements for extremely high prices. Also, I payed for the shipping at certain hour and got to the place 4 hours after. The balloon had HANDWRITTEN instead of what the picture showed. read more

My sons ordered Mother's Day flowers and they were delivered 2 days AFTER Mother's Day. No explanation or apology. If I could give them Zero stars I would and would not recommend them to anyone. read more
