Then they shut their doors in the middle of his schooling, pretty much souring him on higher education. But Susan at HTC has been so welcoming and encouraging that he has high hopes (or in his words, "cautious optimism" which is the most excitement you'll get! :D) about again pursuing a degree. I was really pleased to learn that some, if not many, of his credits from MSB will transfer. We await the admissions office decision on that, but many students have successfully made the switch. Everything has been smooth during enrollment for fall, so I'll update this review in a few months. I'm very happy with the admissions process and helpfulness of the staff.

I started at the Rock 201 level, (level 3 out of 6) and ended in Houseband, a performance based group who played at Summerfest in Milwaukee, the Mall of America, and the Xcel Energy Center at a Wild game. I've loved all of my instructors and their various teaching styles. They offer every aspect of a rock band, including all the instruments mentioned above. Kids are also able to pick from a variety of artists and genres to cover as a band, and make new friends and learn the importance of teamwork. I had the privilege of learning here, and went from fumbling through vocals on "Eye of the Tiger", to absolutely mastering every instrument on "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and teaching a group of younger students how to play it as a band. I've not only improved musically, but also as a person. I've learned the importance of teamwork, respect, hard work, and consistency. I've become a better public speaker and more of an extrovert, but also gained more self awareness, and I firmly believe that my emotional development is easily owed to this program. If your child (or you!) stick with this program, it will definitely be worth your while! Even though the school is aimed at students, adults are also able to receive lessons and there is an adult band! Any level of music education and experience is welcome here, and will be greeted with open arms.

I got my permit a year ago and still have yet to even take my first lesson! I have been trying to schedule my behind-the-wheel sessions for MONTHS (way before the pandemic) by calling and emailing and have yet to be called back/responded to. I called again today, only to find out the voicemail box is now FULL and our emails (both old+new) were never responded to at all. I have reached out to friends of mine who took classes here and they have all had similar experiences. Overall, i had/am currently having a very unpleasant experience and recommend taking driver's ed. through your school or a different academy.

We were gifted an older machine that I wasn't sure was in working order. They so kindly inspected it and taught me about oiling since it's an older machine. I was able to pick up the supplies I needed to maintain it there as well! Really appreciated the time they took to show my daughter how to thread it as well. Will for sure be back! They also have folks on site that offer sewing classes, so we may check that out in the future as well.
