I have herniated disks in my neck, my back, advanced osteoarthritis (drink your milk kids), chronic pain and tension that affect the fine motor skills in my left arm, scar tissue in my sacroilliac joints from assorted accidents and "hey ya'll watch this" escapades. My knots have knots. I am now paying for my adventurous youth, my physically demanding job as a nurse, and have been treated by multiple medical doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, and massage therapists around the world during my travels. Not anymore, Cean's knowledge and skills are phenomenal. Tracing the knots from origin to insertion sometimes makes me want to throw a punch, but he gets the knots out. I cannot speak highly enough of Chelsa and The Body Mechanics. I went in with pain in my upper back/ lower neck and after just one session I felt more movement in my head and neck. I was sore at first but after that the pain just melted away. I have had 3 appointments since my first one and I am feeling much better and my quality of life is so much higher. I would highly recommend over the other "feel good/relaxation" style massages, although the atmosphere in the massage room is very relaxing. My entire life I've struggled with back pain. I've visited countless massage therapists, some of who provided a decent deep tissue massage, although I was often sore afterwards. I spend a great deal of time driving and at a computer, so my back, neck, and shoulders are always sore. Added to that, I'm currently training for a half marathon. As an athlete I need more than a gentle massage. Chelsa knows how athletes move and how the body works, and does a wonderful job of keeping me active, and making eveything feel great! She doesn't do the "easy" massages, but that is never what I want! I highly suggest you use her services! I have been seeing her for many years.
