I met with Priscilla pretty early on in my pregnancy. I met with several different doulas and knew right away that she would be the right person to guide us through this first childbirth experience. From day 1 she was available for any questions that I had. She frequently checked in to see how I was doing. She also met with me and my husband several times and showed him different techniques for labor support. Priscilla is also a licensed massage therapist and that was a huge bonus for me both during pregnancy and during labor. I paid $1500 for a few phone calls and text messages - total scam! This review is totally overdue since I gave birth to my baby girl over 6 months ago. But I am finally putting my thoughts together and writing this review. The short version of my review is basically the title "I paid $1500 for doula services and I only got a few phone calls and text messages." So if you ask me "would you hire Priscilla and Kristina again, I would say absolutely NOT! Now, for the long story please read below: I contacted Motherly Transitions back in October 2020 when my hospital announced COVID restrictions to go from 1 visitor to 2 visitors. I knew that I needed to find a doula who would be flexible enough to work with me in case COVID restrictions got tight again. During our first meeting, I discussed this concern with Kristina. She told me they could do ZOOM (virtual) for the labor and I said I was NOT interested in having a virtual doula and that I would prefer not to risk my money unless they were willing to work with me if circumstances were to change. Kristina then told me they would be more than happy to work on my unique situation if something were to happen and that they would make sure to substitute services to make sure I got my $1500 worth of services (she explained that they could do things like postpartum lactation help, postpartum massages, etc). So I ended up hiring them hoping they would do right by me. I ended up getting scheduled for an induction (at 42 weeks) and asked Priscilla what my options were for substitutions since now they were not going to be able to help me labor at my home. Priscilla kept avoiding a concrete response. She kept telling me that maybe I would go into labor on my own and they could still come over to my home. I ended up getting induced at the hospital and I made sure to notify them of this on a timely manner. I kept the communication open and sent several emails/text messages to let them know what was happening hoping that they would prepare a postpartum plan for me. THEY DID NOT! According to Priscilla, they provided labor support over the phone and text message and that was worth $1500 to them. Wow! Way to screw someone during a PANDEMIC! I couldn't attach screenshots of some texts and emails on yelp but you can also check out my Google review... pictures are loaded there to prove that I told them about my concerns regarding Zoom and substitute services. I was completely upfront and they ignored them and I was stupid enough to trust them. I know Priscilla will reply to my review trying to undermine my situation so I also attached the last email I got from her being condescending towards me and saying she "gave me labor support over the phone and by text"... so yes Priscilla, you gave me some texts and a few phone calls but you did not say that would be my substituted services and you did not say it would cost me $1500!!! I would have NEVER hired them if I knew it would cost me this much for these limited services. To all of you wanting to hire a doula, I can not judge Priscilla and Kristina regarding their quality of service since I never got mine but I can give you one advise... unless it is clearly stated in the contract, do not hire these people. They will take advantage of you during a pandemic and they will not work with your unique situation even though they claim they will. read more

I looove Priscilla!! She's so warm and welcoming. The location in Shenandoah was easy to find. Her knowledge is expansive and she made me very comfortable from scheduling my appointment to completion. It was my first experience with a fertility massage or a massage to my abdomen at all. Due to a few surgeries, I had a lot of knots and tension so the massage was quite uncomfortable. However, Priscilla guided me through it all. I felt so much relief after it was over, but I remained extremely sore to the touch for a few days after. She also gave some literature recommendations that I'm excited to read. I also learned how to continue at home myself. I will definitely be visiting Priscilla again on my journey to conceive and thereafter. read more

Pricilla has been a life saver. Her massages are one of the best massages I've ever had and I've been through a lot of massage therapists. I have a very physical and high impact job that I'm on my feet the whole day so I have a lot of back pain and huge knots that run along my back which pricilla has worked out after 1 session. I can't say enough how amazing she is (I committed to the package right after the first massage was finished) and look forward to each session! read more
