Pretty standard, but got the job done. Plenty of chicken in our curry. SAAG PANEER - 19 Vibrant green with the perfect loose, creamy texture that wasn't too chunky. Good amount of paneer in our portion. The spinach actually tasted like spinach, which I find rare at other restaurants that also serve saag/palak paneer. Definitely one of the better ones I've had! GARLIC NAAN - 4 Pretty typical, but good nonetheless. It was a bit greasy than I would have liked, but went well with the curries when we wanted to switch between bites of the basmati rice. I did not view the downstairs main dining area unfortunately. The service was swift and efficient. The bartender/server was able to receive my order and deliver it to the chef for preparation. As suggested the food was ready in ten minutes. I ordered the butter chicken and lamb tikka marsala with a side of roti and a side of garlic naan. On the receipt the butter chicken was labeled as tikka but it was butter chicken. The roti was not bad though I preferred the naan more. The garlic naan lived up to its name and was packed with minced garlic mainly toward the center or the bread. It was quite tasty and paired really well with the lamb tikka marsala. The butter chicken was good offering tender marinated chicken breast covered in the smooth and creamy sauce. The lamb was similarly prepared offering a deeper robust flavor and higher spice level. Granted I wasn't asked spice level for either dish. Considering both dishes were ticketed as a tikka I inferred the difference between butter chicken and chicken tikka could be the added spice. Either way both dishes were very good and well portioned giving the clear advantage to the lamb. Arrived at 11:35am on a weekend. Entered, place was empty, we thought it would be a quick and attentive service. Not the case. It all so happens to be just one server and she was assisting in the back preparing take out/pick up orders. We sat at least 12-15 mins before she came to acknowledge us. We immediately let her know we had the Groupon to use. She let us know that it was a buffet style service and pointed us in that direction to take a look. We also browsed the menu but for the very little amount we eat, we thought it was best to try the buffet out which really only had 5 items. She allowed us that option even knowing we had the Groupon. We had to wave her down for water. She never came to check on us. She seemed very overwhelmed and without clear direction. Our Groupon was worth $40 of food for two. Just getting two plates from the buffet was $35. We were done and ready to pay. Well that's when she told us that she could not accept the Groupon because the buffet was not included and it had to be from the menu. We contested that she gave us that as an option which for all we knew it was an easier solve for them to not have to cook individual meals and just have us get food from the buffet that was already out and served (they seemed busy with take out orders). She continued to state that she could not accept the Groupon. We asked for a manager or someone else, who seemed to be in the back cooking. He proceeded to let us know that she was new, did not know, made a mistake and they still will not accept the Groupon because what we ate was less than the worth. We asked what needed to be done in order for that to happen and they requested we order more food yet he still wanted us to pay out of pocket since we ate a plate each from the buffet. Anyhow, the service was terrible. The manager or staff that came from the kitchen was extremely rude and demeaning even when the server gave us the wrong information. The food was ok, edible but I've had better, the dining in experience was horrible and complete lack of customer service and attention. We got rice putting to make up for the amount they wanted us to reach. We left them at the table as we really did not care for any more food. The salt and pepper shakers are also sticky and dirty. Train your employees properly to avoid these mishaps.
