The ale selection on tap was a little odd - I think 5 pale ales plus one amber ale, in December, with no dark ales at all but the Kernel export stout in bottles was delicious if a tad pricey. Apparently it's often on tap so keep an eye. The Christmas burger was incredibly good - the combination of camembert, cranberries and mustard mayo brought so many surprisingly complementary flavours and fundamentally the meat itself was fantastic. Best burger I've had in a while. I liked how there is a video games corner - a comfy sofa in front of a tv and you can borrow mario kart from the bar! There's also table football and pool and it got very noisy as competitive spirits rose, so caution if you're looking for somewhere really calm, but overall I'd love to come back here and will try to do so as unfortunately it's likely to close due to some horrible luxury micro flat development killing the only thing in the area that would actually service the tastes of the kind of people in the market for a luxury micro flat.
