This was the worst furniture purchasing experience I have ever had. The products delivered were made of materials different from those advertised on the company's website. This the worst furniture store I have dealt with since I immigrated to Canada 10 years ago. Their delivery service sucks. I bought a desk from them to find out when arrived that it is very complicated to assemble. Many parts were not numbered and manual instructions were not accurate. Moreover, I followed all the assembly instruction's and the desk parts are loose. They don't accept return once the item is opened which doesn't make any sense. How I would find out that I need to return an item if I had not opened it. I bought desks from IKEA and other places and the assembly was super easy and customer service was so far better than this store. I don't recommend them at all. read more

We purchased a Samsung fridge from the Brick. The door was dented during delivery, and reported by the delivery man at that time. The agent from The Brick suggested a door replacement, which we agreed to. We were told that someone would call us within 2 weeks to schedule a date for the replacement. More than 5 weeks later there has been no word from The Brick. Any contact with them has been initiated by us. Any time we call the store we are always assured that someone would get back to us within a day or two. I don't even know where to begin with how bad The Brick is. We bought a sofa back in August which was defective. We had to arrange an appointment to have someone come and confirm it was defective. She did come, confirmed it, and then we only just got the new sofa today. It's now November. There were a ton of delays with us being unable to reach them. And they supposedly misunderstood our request to replace the sofa several times. And to top it all off, the delivery guys arrived with no tools. I had to go downstairs to get a drill and screwdriver from my toolbox so they could set it up. What would have happened if I didn't have the tools? They're supposed to have them. It's their job! I bought 3 appliances at this location on Dec26. Rep promised me they will deliver the dishwasher and washer on the 28th of December. informed the rep that I need the dishwasher the most. received an email confirming the delivery schedule from 12:00-5:00PM. Waited all day and the dishwasher is a no show. To my consolation the washer showed up at 5:30PM. No courtesy call on when we will get the dishwasher, called their office to find out and finally got a schedule for Jan 13. Again from 12:00 -5:00PM. To my disapointment, it's another no show. But this time we received a phone call around 5:30 that they don't have the unit and will have to pick up at the warehouse. with this experience, this will be my last visit to Bricks and will never ever recommend or suggest buying anything from this place. read more

I have been a dedicated Brick customer since the 1980's. I have made every major purchase since then at The Brick. All Furniture, All appliances, All mattresses and All TV's and all their replacements over the past 40 years, and have had a good experience until now. I was in need of replacing my Washer & Dryer so off to The Brick I go. I purchased a washer & dryer and made arrangements for my old to be picked up. When the delivery team showed up (Thursday) they advised us that they could not take the washer & dryer because they were on a pedestal. The only thing that our Sales Associate (Raji G) told us is to make sure all electrical and hoses were unplugged. If we were told to remove them from the pedestals, we would have removed them. The delivery team called someone and I was told that if I remove the pedestals, they would come back on Saturday to pick up. NO ONE SHOWED UP, so off to the store I went. I was then told, sorry there is nothing they can do because they will only pick up on the day of delivery. I asked about the lady who I spoke to from the delivery team and was brushed off. The washer is heavy and my husband is over 70, when asked how are we to remove the washer, was basically told not The Bricks problem. They got our money and to hell with us. Very bad customer service and delivery services. They promised items to be available on time when they know they items will not be ready. I bought a stove and dishwasher and when they delivered weeks late they damaged our newly installed refrigerator. The delivery guys covered the damage one stood in front of the fridge and asked us to sign the delivery form. They knew they damaged the fridge and left before we notice. The Brick managers wouldn't take responsibility it took two months to get a response. They never paid for the damage they were rude and unprofessional when contacting them in person and on the phone. read more

I will start by saying that the 1 star is way to high for this store!!!! I purchased a fridge from them and was given a delivery date 2 1/2 weeks from then only to be called the following week to say that it was now on back order and they would call when they came in to arrange delivery. 3 weeks later they called and delivery was scheduled and it was delivered to me but when they took the packaging off it was a grey fridge but I had ordered a white fridge. the guy actually told me I was wrong and showed me the order form so I went and got my original order from and proved to him that I was right. So we had to wait for the next shipment which was a month later but atleast it was correct when it was delivered, BUT as they were removing my old fridge they tore they weather proofing strip on the floor of the entrance so they told me to call the store so I did and the person at the store told me to send an email with a couple pics showing the damage which I did but I got an email back saying that when I signed the form taking possession of the fridge I had released them of any responsibility. Then I had the service guy come yesterday to install the ice maker which seemed to go without any problems. I waited a few hours and went to check of on the ice and to my surprise it was just water in the tray under the ice cube tray so I turned the temp dial to max to make it colder but hours later no difference. I called the service # and they are coming back in 2 days. Cross my fingers that nothing further happens. have ordered from the Brick 5 times in the last 15 years and they have screwed up EVERY time so I will NEVER deal with the Brick ever again and will tell everybody I ever talk to that is thinking of buying ANYTHING from them. read more

This location seems quite content with poor customer service post sale. It's a commissioned environment where employees only seemed motivated to sell and not to care. Guru, the manager, appears to embrace this apathy and is content to subject his own employees to dissatisfied customers rather than deal with service complaints himself. Usually, I don't post any bad reviews, but this time want to share my personal experience of the Worst Customer service at Dundas/Dixie location. Few years ago we bought couple appliances, and apparently choose Samsung Fridge, which had problems all the time. After few times repair man tried to fix and change ALL possible parts, finally they made a decision to do exchange. Then we had the problem of finding the case number( as they "forget" to record it?! Then Covid time, and lots of other issues. Finally, we got everything resolved and paid much extra for another fridge with different company. On the Big day of delivery, seemed everything would be resolved, and still have no answer what actually happened? After getting notification of delivery day, the guys came in, measured everything, and.... pointed that we need to remove entrance door and/or back door as "same size fridge might not fit in"?... My husband was trying to cooperate, removing and unscrewing everything around from back and front entrance...within 10 min talking on the phone the delivery man left... saying they would call us or be back in 2-3 hours. After waiting 4+ hours, nobody got back to us. Whole day was screwed, lots of products went to the garbage as were outside of the fridge whole day. I tried multiple times reaching the store, after 10th times trying to get in touch at least with someone, after 6 pm we found out that Nobody coming and we need to reschedule... And i think its not the end of the story, as I truly don't understand why sometimes such a simple things can be turned into the most difficult and frustrated stuff. read more

We bought a bed from The Brick and had it delivered. The headboard didn't include any parts. We were looking for two feet and the screws. It took us 3 trips to the store over a 6 weeks time to get all the parts. The first trip to the store resulted in parts being delivered quickly. We were happy with this. Unfortunately it only came with 1/2 the parts needed. The second trip resulted in 2 weeks of waiting for a part that THEY DIDN'T ORDER. The 3rd trip they said they would call back to let us know where we can just go and get the part from their warehouse. No call. The parts did come though after a week. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Long story short: We went in to buy a sectional couch. Salesperson "B" helped us. He guaranteed delivery and even set a delivery date and time. The day comes and I call in to check status of delivery only to find out the delivery has been delayed 2 WEEKS without ANYONE notifying us with an update. My husband took the day off work to wait for the delivery. We are livid that they failed to inform us of the delay. Not giving them my service and no one else should either. Update: We went into the store to cancel our order. We went downstairs to guest services where the salesperson "B" just happened to be. He heard us telling guest services the situation and knew exactly what we were talking about. He continues to avoid us not even approaching us to apologize for his mistake. The manager came to talk to us and we mentioned that he was just in front of us and didn't even try to explain himself. The manager proceeded to say (while laughing), "Yeah I just saw him upstairs and he was avoiding you because he saw you were upset". I'm sorry, didn't know that was funny? Having your staff run away from their mistakes without owning up to it? When we just asked them to cancel the order she proceeded to ask us if we want to buy anything else from the store. I purchased leather sofas last year from the brick for $7000 with extended warranty, the Sofas lost its colour and the cushion went down flat just after few months, i sent claim last November and the inspection company came and agreed that its bad quality and brick will repair it, today is march 2 after four months nothing done, I called costumers service many times but the keep saying we need time to bring the parts! I was sold a lemon refrigerator they do not standby warranties or products. I purchased a refrigerator within the first month it started dripping a few drops of water inside. I called them they sent a repair guy did not fix the issue he just put tape.They have sent three repair guys and their solution is to add more and more tape they will not replace the item and it just happened again for the fourth time in three months I feel robbed be careful do not buy from them read more

Update: Mattress delivery was successful! They actually do call, leave msg, follow up plenty of times 24hrs prior to the delivery. One time, absolutely no one picked up the store's phone, 2 other times, the gentleman who picked up the phone didn't sound all that professional. Whatever, mattress was delivered when they said it would be, so no real complaint. Do watch out when they try to sell you a $80 mattress cover tho! read more

- pushy sales associate trying to push you to purchase a more expensive item when clearly you're not interested - employees do not process paperwork on time or at all, therefore delivery of a 3 week late item is delayed even longer, and is only fixed because the customer by chance called The Brick back to clarify on the date. - Been told many dates for products, stating those dates were 100% correct meanwhile they were wrong which lead to furniture being delivered even later. If they're not 100% sure on a delivery date, then say so, don't lie to the customer. - Ordered 3 items from this location and all 3 items I've had an issue with quality and delivery - Go somewhere else - choose a different Brick. - Not 100% on their customer service number either, considering I called 4 times for the same issue in one day and everyone said it was fixed but every time I called back, I received the same answer that there was nothing on record of what I was talking about. read more

We ordered a bed and a mattress with brick and were told that it will be delivered next week. We later received an email to confirm the delivery in the coming week and we responded in time. Brick meanwhile didn't have the items we ordered in their warehouse (even though they committed to is) and didn't deliver the order. They then scheduled the delivery for the next week and the delivery man came to our place and we missed his call by less than 5 mins(we called him back though) and the guy left. Meanwhile when we responded to brick sales rep, they were totally unsupportive and didn't really care about the customer grievances ( based on the way they talked to us and indirectly threatened to disconnect the call). I would give zero star if I could. My 92 year old aunt was sold a washer with cosmetic damage. She also purchased the warranty. The washer was delivered and the display doesn't work. She was sold a broken machine. They told her to call The manufacturer who told her they aren't doing anything and to deal with the Brick. The Brick sent a repair person who told her the display isn't repairable. We went to the store as they don't answer the phone or you get hung up on. They told us they haven't got report back yet from repair tech and they would call next day. Got call next day and was told to call manufacturer. We already did that. She said she has to talk to manager and will call back. No call back. Tried calling, same thing no answer and when got thru to customer service, was disconnected. Went to store again. Manager said to pick another machine. Was temporarily satisfied. When asked salesman if they test dented machines before they sell to ensure no mechanical problems, he said no they don't. Picked another machine and was told would cost $360.00 more. Was wondering what good the warranty is if have to pay for replacement as machine not fixable. Aunt decided to get machine and be done with this but when went to customer service to pay, it was over $700 more. Told mgr sales told us $360. She called salesman and they argued, then manager said $441 more as she made mistake. The manager and sales argued more but sales was not successful to get back to price he quoted. Asked if any discount for all the inconvenience and time we wasted because they sold us a broken machine, answer was no. Wanted refund and take machine back, answer was no. Still not over. WILL NEVER SHOP AT BRICK AGAIN AND SUGGEST YOU DONT EITHER. Forgot to mention that she was charged for hoses for the washer and when the delivery guys got there, they said the hoses she already had were better and took the hoses with them and she was not credited the $20.00. DON'T SHOP HERE!!! We recently purchased a refrigerator from the Dundas St. location in Mississauga, ON. Our (final) salesperson was Gorav Duggal. We were originally greeted by a different salesperson (we did not catch his name), who explained all the features about the fridge, the warranty, etc. We were interrupted by another salesperson. Gorav introduced himself as the 'Appliance Manager' and said that our salesperson has to go talk to another customer, and that he would be taking over the transaction. Our original salesperson didn't look thrilled about doing so, and then went to simply stand around by the appliance section. Firstly, I found it hard to believe that a salesperson would simply give up his sale for nothing, and secondly, I didn't appreciate being fed BS, nor was I keen on dealing with someone else and starting over. Gorav told me the fridge was $400 more than what their ad said on their website, and that the fridge was on a promo at the time that I printed the ad, two days earlier. He wanted to sell me the fridge at the full price. I asked him if they do price matching, and he told me they do. After looking through data on the computer, he told me he would have to charge me the full amount that day, and that I would have to come back after the fridge was delivered to get a refund for the difference. Why couldn't he charge me the matched price I had originally agreed to with the other salesperson? I suppose he may have used a loop hole to make himself more commission... When the fridge arrived, the driver did not have a measuring tape or tools to remove the doors of the fridge, and asked if I had any for him to use. A little unprepared if you ask me! He then noticed the fridge had a big dent and took it back. By this time I had already removed all the food from the old fridge and removed the doors. I had to undo everything I had been working on for over an hour. I also had to take a day off work to receive the fridge the next day. After a non-damaged fridge was delivered, I went to the store to get our refund of the price difference. I was waiting there for over half an hour! To include my drive time, this cost me over an hour out of my day. The customer service rep, Natalie Sharpe, took about 5 months to respond, after many attempts of speaking to someone about my concerns. In the end, nobody seemed to care and simply said they would "take care of us next time". THERE WILL BE NO NEXT TIME!! DON'T GO TO THIS STORE!! read more

I would be remiss if I didn't take the time to provide this Google Review (& others) outlining my horrific experience with The Brick. I would never purchase another item from them & I only caution you to go elsewhere!!!! My 90 year Mom decided it was time for a new fridge so I went to the Brick (as they were located close by) at Dixie & Dundas in Mississauga. We met with Gorav D. an on floor sales person, we had the exact dimensions of the old fridge & knew that we had to stick with exactly the same size fridge in order to fit the space in the kitchen. Gorav search their on line inventory & found one that would fit into the space that we had. We went ahead & ordered the Fridge on October 21/19. The fridge arrived on October 25th & it was discovered that it was a larger fridge & would not fit through the kitchen doorway & it was also damaged on the front panel of the lower freezer door. Given that the old fridge was now removed (& dismantled) they left the new fridge (less the door handles) in the vestibule hallway & plugged it into the closest outlet...we now had a fridge sitting in the hallway to the back of the house. Another fridge was ordered on October 26th however, there was an extra charge of $214.77 for Fridge #2 which was promptly paid. The Brick promised a delivery date of November 14th ...we accepted the delivery date & patiently waited....Nov. 14th came & went & no one notified us of a new delivery so we phoned to get the delivery status...they told us Nov. 24. When we called to confirm the delivery a week or so ahead they told me it would now be Nov. 30th. On Nov. 27th their operations mgr. called me to tell me that the new delivery would be delivered on Dec. 4. When this fridge arrived it was severely damaged whereby the front right corner was crushed & when the fridge was plugged it made a terrible noise. They removed Fridge #1 & left Fridge #2 damaged & running with a loud noise. I paid for the water line hook up for the water dispenser & ice maker. They promised an exchange on this fridge on Dec 9th,a new delivery of January 16 was given however, they wanted me to pay for a second time the plumber fee to connect the water line...I refused & with much verbal exchange & several calls to different people at the Brick it was agreed that a second plumber charger would not happen. Fridge #3 arrived only to discover this fridge had sustained even more damage & was reloaded back into the delivery truck. When I reported this to their operations mgr she said she is willing to compensate for the damaged fridge by offering some sort of refund....I said no I want a new fridge as I ordered! Fridge #4 was ordered on January 17 & a promised delivery date of January 24 was given...it arrived as scheduled but once again this fridge was damaged, it had a 1' dent on the left side about half way up the panel. The delivery guys reported it to the office & started to ask if we would accept the fridge as is with some sort of compensation. Given that my 90 year old mom was beside herself on this whole mess she agreed to accept the fridge but with compensation.....this was a joke as they offered $150, after much negotiation & heated discussion with "Sophie" at the Brick we settled on $300 only because they had worn my 90 year mom down to the point that she would accept any fridge at this point! Of course the refund never followed through as Sophie told us it would & after many phone calls to the Brick Operations mgr. we received the refund. The water line was hooked up on January 29, However, when you would open the doors on the fridge it would roll forward rather than the doors opening...they had not leveled the fridge properly, this was now done by me. So from the time I placed my order for the fridge on October 21/19 it took until January 29/20 to complete this purchase. The entire process was an inconvenience, aggravating, disrespectful, with ZERO Customer Service...we ended up with a damaged fridge & a lousy $300 compensation that would never cover the cost to repair the damage to the side panel not to mention the total inconvenience & aggravation that was experienced! Our family will never purchase another item from The BRICK & of course have spread the word to our extended families & friends! We are shocked they continue to stay in business. When I ordered online in the past, I had a pretty good experience. But, in this store, wow.. I am amazed at their incompetence. 6 weeks, the bed is not delivered. They cannot guarantee a delivery before 4 pm on the day they scheduled even after me specifying that our moving lift is not available after 4pm. They are not even apologetic about the delays. They did not send order confirmation email until now, although I had 2-3 calls with the customer care about it after my purchase in-store 6 weeks back. The order has not arrived yet, btw. Easily, my worst experience and this is not my first time buying furniture, nor is this the first country I went through this. Never again. I wish 0 stars was an option here... I don't even know where to start.... I placed an order for all my bedroom furniture with them in mid August to be delivered August 30th. After receiving the furniture we noticed that the dresser was badly damaged. They told us that they would be sending us a new one within a few weeks. It's almost 2 months later and we have still not received a dresser without damages. It's been almost 2 months of countless phone calls to the location (because they don't call their customers to keep them up to date on the progress). I was told every time I called that the delivery has been delayed because there is no stock. Well, today we finally got our new dresser.... which was BADLY scratched.. and we had our railing damaged in the process of delivery as well. We called the Brick right away and they have no sympathy-- they even argued saying that the damages were not caused by their delivery company (I have it on camera, might I add). All they say is we will send a new one. I DON'T WANT A NEW ONE, I WANT A REFUND AT THIS POINT. This has been the worst experience by far. I will never, ever shop at The Brick again. Needless to say, if you want undamaged, quality products without wasting your time with a company who lacks good customer service, DO NOT SHOP HERE!
