It was $1699.99 plus tax and fell apart instantly (less than 3 weeks and screws were falling out onto the floor under the couch among multiple other problems, springs busted and coming through the top of the couch, boards coming through the top of the couch so no one could use it without getting hurt, many other problems I didn't even know could exist with a couch). We called and they sent the same guy out over and over and he would take the couch apart and drill it back together, using a bigger screw each time as just the weight of someone 160 lbs sitting on the couch would force the screw back out, rendering the wood stripped, it would just pop out like a nail so (and I'm actually dead serious) they used a plastic drywall hook, beat it into the wood and drilled the screw into the plastic drywall hook. After 3-4 weeks the couch was not only lumpy and uncomfortable but it was actually dangerous to sit/rest on with metal springs and even the wooden interior framing poking through the couch cushions and in-between them. We really saved up for that couch and were so happy the day we got it. I felt good about working hard to save up and buy it, but when it fell apart over and over and I eventually told them I wanted the couch either properly fixed or a new couch issued, they got nasty and told me I shouldn't of bought a couch from a manufacturer who makes couches in China and should of chosen a more reputable brand. This is what Leon's said about their own product they choose to sell in their store. I bought it from the store, was in stock, and they had a floor model set up for display encouraging people to buy this specific couch. I would not recommend Leon's for anything, and would actually suggest buying the same product anywhere else, even if it's more expensive. Most people stand behind what they sell and would never treat anyone so poorly. I could see if we didn't notice for the first year or two and then came to them and they said it was too late, but it fell apart within a couple weeks and they told us to kick rocks. If I had the time energy or money, I would take pictures of the couch and sue. What a scam.

I decided on a mattress and instead of a box spring I was going to buy the base that the mattress was on which was a box that elevated the head of the bed. It was discontinued and marked down for sale and had a little tear in it. The plan was to have it delivered to my place about 5 km down the road which would not have cost anything. However because the base was marked down they would not deliver the base. In speaking with Francisco and the manager that was in on Sunday I had decided to wait until the next day to speak with the manager to see if there was anything they could do. The manager John called me back on Monday and without giving me a chance to speak started to tell me that their policy was black and white. The delivery charge was already in the price of the mattress but not in the base because it was marked down. I asked if they would deliver in the interest of customer service. He said absolutely not, this had nothing to do with customer service, the delivery charge for the mattress was in the cost, there was no delivery charge in the base. (They both would have been delivered to the same place). I asked him if he was willing to lose customers over this and he said definitely. Instead of listening to the me and maybe exploring other options he spoke over me. Told me that he didn't care about my business and left me no choice but to take my business elsewhere. Despite being a Leon's customer for many years, (most recent purchase a washer in November), I will not be going back!

We have drove 5 hr. return 3 times now, to try and get this straight. We purchased on the 17th I believe it was of June a powered reclining sofa. Of course I thought it was what I wanted but after we drove back a couple of days later and picked it up ourselves because they wanted over $110.00 for delivery to us, yet people inquired about delivery beside us were told there was no delivery charges, they didn't ask their address, but it was free.....ticked us off we picked it up ourselves. Come to find it was the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I have ever owned in my grown up life. The salesman did not mention anything about NO REFUNDS, we were driving home and I was reading my receipt and there it was on there, NO refunds , store credit only. I do not think this is right, also in the area where it said extended warranty offered, there were check marks in either yes or no box. The Salesman should have made us aware before it was purchased. So now I have to have a 2549.00 Store credit and there was nothing in this store that interested me. We were told a chair was leather to come to find out afterwards it isn't . I have sent many emails asking for quotes on certain chairs and I Swear out of approximately 15 quotes I have sent in I received a reply to one but not with the price, with a note saying it would take us 10 weeks to get it in. I didn't ask that did I was I concerned it might take longer, No if it was something I liked I would gladly have waited, wasn't given the choice. I was told wait until our next truck loads of El Ran furniture come in. I promise they are stuck at the border right now because of COVID , but you will be the first to know. Well when we went up on the 5th of Augst, I mentioned that and he said that came and sold. I said you said you would call me, he never said a word, this is the owner of the store or one of them. There are two stores and this is the one in Truro. I went up on the 5th of August looking to see if there was something I liked to make up for the sofa. Well the owner "MIKE" came up to me and said I would be doing you an injustice not telling you that I think you should buy a lift chair. Well who in the hell was he trying to sell me a handicapped chair, and a lift chair as far as I am concerned is for handicapped people. Yes I have a very bad back, but have owned lazy boy chairs for a long time and had absolutely no problem getting in and out of them. I was insulted and that turned me off. Never as a salesperson, which I have been would I make that statement to someone, I would take them to the chair and show them how it worked and tell them the price and say this might be something you may want to consider if you feel you can't use the rocking chair properly without falling. I would not say what he said. It was an insult to me. I've tried to deal with these people for almost two months and it's getting on my nerves. I have sent him emails explaining I think their policy sucks, and they should have shown it to us before the sale, with no reply. Very seldom do I get a reply. I have put in a complaint with my master card a dispute about their tactics in selling furniture, asking them if they would consider reversing the sale and have the company come up and pick up their sofa and I wouldn't have to deal with them any longer, I have a store credit once they pick up this sofa and it is good for 394 days. What's going to get any better in that store. .....certainly not the furniture. One of my biggest shopping mistakes ever.
