They sold me an expensive tempur pedicure mattress with 10 years warranty . now the mattress is saggy and uncomfortable . Tried everything to replace it under warranty. Sent several sets of pictures. I have hi end Italian bed frame, new excuse is my bed frame is bad. Asked them to send someone to check but they are just trying to deny the warranty. I have never been to a furniture specifically looking for it but i had to finally go here and guess what? I have had an amazing experience! We only asked the associate a few questions but then by the way she has mentioned about sale and whats good - we were drawn to the attention to detail. And bought bed/mattress/mirror and a table. They also found us a good deal on delivery as they only cover 15kms area. But very happy with the things that are dealt and Anata was the best person that i ever spoke to! read more

Today,I had to make a purchase on a Futon,I saw on line but I wanted to see it in person to look and feel the material of this product.I had to be at work by 11am and this Red Maple store opens at 10am. I roamed around and could find it. We stopped a few people to seek help.A lady kindly assisted us and brought us Rane S. He helped and assisted me knowing we had limited time We did say we would return to make the purchase after 6pm. Rane S assured to us we will be able to process the sale.If was a bit complicated as I am in Toronto but purchasing it for a Calgary Apartment for a delivery for a later date. Worse customer service No one ever answers the phone I had to actually go to the store to ask a question about my order. When I asked the lady why no one answers she says they must be in break. Yeah on break from 10am to 9pm . It's bullshit. It is really sad to face this level of disregard for the rights of customers in lovely Canada I bought a table and 6 chairs from Brick and I paid around $2000 ,I paid $300 for warranty as well,they delivered them after 6 months, The top surface of the table was broken and three of six chairs has problems but unfortunately no one do anything for us, after four months when they wanted change the table we canceled all our work and classes to stay at home for delivery but when they came they didn't change it just because it's not assembled ,No one didn't say to us that we should Not assembled it(how we should know?) and they didn't wait for Not assembled it(it takes maybe 5or7 min),They don't respect to our time, they didn't respect us and they just think about themselves and their time(we canceled our work,our classes ) ,when we talked to their manager he just said sorry and he looked at my eyes and said we couldn't do anything for you.I'm not satisfied their service (I'm not sure they have any service because they just think about themselves and no one else)and their stuff.We should respect customers time,we shouldn't just want customers money and after that we don't care about giving service to them.this location sellers just think about their percentages,delivery just think about their time and there is no one as a manager that he or she can solve your problem.I wouldn't recommend this location of Brick at all. read more

Bought a mattress recently. Sales man was nice and helpful, even he did not know enough about product. We received it and did not like it. Was to soft for us. Went to a different Brick location which we were informed about kinds of mattresses. Now we knew exactly what fit for us. Came back to the store and asked to change the mattress. I went in to get new appliances, the sales rep was nice and along with the manager I was able to get a great deal. I explained that I am in a condo and asked if that would pose any issue for delivery and they assured me that they would work with me based on elevator availability to ensure delivery. when all was said and done, they were extremely unorganized and made it VERY difficult to schedule a delivery. the delivery guy was also extremely rude and would not allow me to examine if all parts were delivered, once he left I noticed that all installation hardware (including the manual and instructions) were missing from my dishwasher. I called the store and there was no answer. my sales rep gave me her cell phone so I decided to call her directly. she instructed me to send an email (which I never got a reply from) and to send a picture of missing parts that need replacing... As I did not hear back, I called again and was "assured" that the parts had all been ordered for me but they were unable to send me a confirmation. 1 week had gone by and still no update, so I got in touch with the sales rep again. However, this time she instructed me that she could no longer help and I had to go through customer service from the store. After many attempts of calling, I finally got through to someone and they told me that the order had an error and it was never placed. They let me know that they would place a new order and again would not be able to send me a confirmation and would call me once they have an update. It has been over one month and I still have yet to receive any update. This item is nonrefundable. And at this point, I have ordered all the missing parts on my own. Although they were able to offer a great deal, I would never shop here again. Extremely disappointing experience. read more

Very unorganized and careless store. I ordered a coffee table about one month ago. I was told it will be ready for pickup in 2 weeks. It has not been ready for pickup after 4 weeks. They are still talking about one more week delay to get the order. They also don't take the calls. Any time you want to ask a question, you have to wait for a long time on the phone to be answered, if any at all. It would be easier to go to the store anytime you want to follow up your order, rather than waiting on the phone. read more

The brick always give me surprise. I baught a sectional sofo which was originally priced 1899. Then there was an VIP sale event which gives me 30% off, then the sales waved delivery fee and also throw in the five year warranty. In the end I only paied 1450 tax in and no delivery charge. I got my sofa the next day nk problem at all. By the way, one hint the price are negotiable. Two different storw and two different sales can actually mean a couple hundred dollars difference. read more

This is not the first time I've shopped at The Brick and had a very bad experience. Firstly, the employees follow you around like prey even if you've asked them multiple times to stop following you. The employee who helped me, Francis sold me a sofa and carpet. Francis told me my delivery date is March 10. I sold my old couch and threw away my old carpet in preparation for my delivery. It's now March 21, no delivery, no message or notification, nothing. How is this okay? Seems like after the employees get your money (over $3000) they don't bother providing any customer service, they got what they wanted. My place is EMPTY, and I'm out $3000 with nothing to show for it. Ali also did the SAME thing a few years ago, with a bed I purchased that took over 2 months to ship, no ongoing support...nothing. Maybe it's my fault for thinking this can't happen twice. Have respect for your customers and be upfront about delivery dates, that way no one has to sleep on the floor. read more

It was one of my worst shopping experiences. I made the purchase in November and the seller confirmed on January 5 to send all my orders. Yesterday, when I called Customer Service to confirm the delivery time of my orders, I was informed that unfortunately most of my orders are not in stock, and Customer Service says that some of my orders will be available in May. It's stupid that I paid the full amount of the vacuum I was supposed to receive in May. read more

If I could give a lower rating I might. I spent almost $14,000 at The Brick six weeks ago, and I still don't have a third of the items, and the delivery dates keep changing. The merchandise itself is pretty good, but the company is a disaster. Why couldn't the salesman tell me 'sorry, we don't have those items for another couple of months, pick something else'? Several of the items arrived scratched, dented, and damaged. The first delivery guys had a bad attitude, and left literally dozens of pieces of packing garbage on my front lawn. They also neglected to assemble two of the items that the salesman guaranteed would be assembled. After I called the store to complain, they sent out another pair of guys to get the garbage and finish assembly. The second pair of guys did take the garbage away, but a third pair were sent to begrudgingly assemble the pieces after the second pair also refused. This company is an absolute disaster, I think it has grown to the point that it's sales team doesn't know what it's delivery people are doing, and the delivery people are out of management's realm... it's almost like the movie "office space"... they're completely out to lunch. I'll never buy from this store again, and I've told my entire circle of friends and family about my experience as a cautionary tale. The only person there who did anything right was the poor woman who had to deal with my complaints and with the delivery department's incompetence and reluctance to remedy the above problems. read more

We bought a mattress, box spring, and bed frame. After learning the bed frame we purchased was not available and they couldn't tell us when it would be, we went in to choose a new one. When we walked in, we were greeted pleasantly, but as soon as we told him we had already spent our money and were here to just exchange something, he was no longer interested in helping us and said we had to talk to the person who originally sold us the bed. Luckily that person was in so we waited for him. We found a new bed on display and told him we wanted everything the same as what we were seeing. When we paid for the difference, he again asked the size of the box spring we wanted and we said the same as the one on display. After we purchased it, we were told we would have to wait 6 weeks for the bed frame. We asked them to deliver everything together when it was ready, on December 14. A few days later we received a voicemail from the store asking us to confirm delivery for November 13. I called and told them we were out of town and they had the wrong date, that it was December 14. I was told it was fixed. When we returned into town, I received two voicemails asking to confirm delivery for November 20. I called a second time to tell them they had the wrong date, and was told it was again changed to December 14. I asked for a confirmation of some sort as I had already called twice and was told "No no, it's fine. I can change it right now". Needless to say, the mattress and box spring both showed up on November 20. So, after asking and double checking 3 times (once in store and twice over the phone) that it would all come together on December 14, we were stuck with a king sized mattress and box spring in another room with no bed frame for a month. We eventually had to move them ourselves when the frame showed up. When we finally had it all set up ourselves, the box spring was the wrong size and now the bed is so comedically high, we need step stools to get onto it. They will give you a good price and take your money but then they will not rush getting your items to you. Will talk a good talk about how you never wait as long as they promise. My experience was really awful with them. When we are going to buy only that time they give good service. if you have any problem they didn't even listen. On purchasing time they insist to buy an extended warranty but when I have a problem I called three times and send email as well but they even didn't listen me just saying "it's not cover" they why we are going to buy extended warranty plus expensive sofa sets than another local store. they are disgusting in customer service. Holy hell, avoid at all costs. My fridge died suddenly last summer, so I shopped all over town for a replacement. Every single place I went to was either too expensive, or only carried modern, double-door refrigerators (too big for my kitchen). We wound up at The Brick, not by choice, and decided to buy a stainless steel Frigidaire unit. The fridge was well-reviewed and on sale at the time, so it seemed like a good idea for our budget. We paid for the fridge that same day, but The Brick didn't deliver it for another two weeks. We booked a delivery date with them, confirmed it, and they never showed up. They never even called to cancel or explain why they failed to make the appointment. I had to actually call THEM and remind them they were supposed to make a delivery. Since they had already charged my card and I needed the fridge, I stuck with the purchase and scheduled a second delivery date. They showed up almost an hour late. Every single delivery employee conducted himself with zero professionalism. They carried the unit carelessly, almost damaged my floor carrying it inside, and acted put out over having to make a delivery at all. When they unwrapped the unit, they left adhesive residue all over the fridge and freezer doors (I had to clean it myself), and chunks of blue packing tape stuck within the door seams. When I saw the doors were already assembled and on the wrong side, I asked if they would switch them. They stood there arguing with me until I gave up and asked them to leave. The Brick is, hands down, the worst company I've ever dealt with. Their services are simply unreliable and not worth the trouble or the money. Their employees are rude, lazy and argumentative. Their customer service reps are apathetic and refuse to address your concerns. Every single employee I dealt with was downright terrible at their job. I will never shop here again, and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

I purchased 2 recliner armchairs and a recliner love seat from this store approximately 5 years ago. I have made claims in the past regarding quality issues with these units before. I have recently called the store and requested a service on all 3 units as they are sagging and having mechanical issues. The technician who arrived stated that the damage is severe and should not be happening. This is clearly happening as a result of defects in the design of the unit. Especially since it is happening again. A week after the technician arrived, I decided to follow up with the store for an update. I was told the claim was denied. I asked why and I am being told that I didn't report this in time. I have reported it on time, specifically because of the way it started peeling and falling apart so quickly. Moreover, I have reported several issues and have been getting bullshit from the store. Just the kind of "Service" you would expect from a third rate store. Don't bother shopping here and definitely don't bother with their warranty service. They will try anything they can to get out of it. read more
