I was holding off on this one until I was absolutely sure that I had no further need to use this establishment for business. While I have met 2 wonderful cats of whom I adopted at this establishment Catista (Callie) and Copycat (Bashful), I cannot excuse the way management operates this establishment. At one point I came here to adopt a cat by the name of Chocolate Fudge. To make a long story short, this cat was not having good synergy with my household and showed no signs of getting more comfortable. Since I don't have a car, I paid $100 for a round trip. This trip was to A. Return Chocolate Fudge so she can find a better home than me since it's the responsible thing to do, and B. Find a new cat to adopt. They refused to serve me for the adoption on that trip based on their personal views of "Oh it's too soon to adopt another one". Isn't the point of adoption is to give these animals a good home so long as the adopter is a good person? Not waste adopter's time with your personal views? Months later, got a call from this establishment asking me to relinquish my registration on Chocolate Fudges microchip. I said "Seriously? You waited for months to ask me for this? Not on the spot? It's kinda not my issue now" but eventually consented to it. Eventually after getting a ride from a buddy, I came to adopt another cat for me an my husband to enjoy. APARENTLY they wanted to be all passive aggressive with me about my first review and waste my time for AN HOUR while forcing me to swallow my pride and apologize. AND leading me to delete my original review for this place. All so they can tell me same visit adoptions are no longer a thing management allows and for me and my husband to go home empty hand despite having a history as a wonderful pet owner. Talk about petty. Now this update review is your karma in spades. I eventually sent my friend as a decoy to adopt Kirby (Thor) FOR ME in which the papers and cat can be legally handed over to me to bypass the bull crap. This place tried to prevent me from adopt this cat but Joe Felix Rosenburg ain't stupid. I'm not coming back here. I may have adopted some winners from here before, but even good businesses will be ruined by terrible management. I will be finding a new place to adopt future pets because I do not support adoption clinics that puts their morals and values above what is right for the animals. And I'm especially upset that I had to swallow my pride, and apologize just to STILL be sent home without a cat. As a Level 8 Local Guide, I'm giving this place a 1/5 Stars. read more

There is no such law and when I asked to see the law they told me they were done arguing. Ahd then they told me they were "private" which explains why the shelter is so tiny Filthy and in need of repair. Patches and Tucker are much better off with me but their sister is still out there. So I have to take in the cats dumped on me probably after they were adopted out of the shelter and other people get help? There is something wrong with that

He was placed in a good home right away! Mom says the head of the place and helpers are super nice. All the Fur babies are placed, and well cared for! The place is clean inside out, that's great for the furbabies. They have a website, so we set mom up. And she told them she was lonely and wanted a small dog, and bam in a week she got Ashton a Chiweenie OMG he's cute as hell. We privately rehomed a rescue dog which was getting ready to be put down. We ended up due to a medical situation with my husband surrendering the dog to The Bridge. We could not have had a better experience and the people who adopted him are now very very close friends and we dogsit and visit with them socially and have the best relationship. He has two sets of parents now! Instead of an old man in a wheelchair in a trailer who left him outside 24/7 and used him as a guard dog and beat him and starved him. This precious dog has overcome so very much and it was a godsend, the whole situation. He is a totally different dog and so loving we are grateful to God and The Bridge for such a wonderful experience and creating two families for this dog in need! They were absolutely wonderful - could not have asked for anything better. We now support them and are happy to. read more

We have been with her since day one and she treated four of our pets. Until today. She refused to treat our 12 year old chihuahua who was bleeding from the rear. The receptionist said we should go to Cherry Point, which we promptly did because our chihuahua needed attention. Cherry Point was welcoming and helpful. They found the problem and we have a plan to get our baby healthy again. Ironically, they discovered some dental issues that Dr. Roark overlooked. This is inexcusable because our chihuahua sees her annually plus she did her nails every month. Needless to say our chihuahua and two cats have a new doctor. Something has happened to Dr. Roark over the years because years ago I took a stray in without an appointment and Dr. Roark treated it without issue. Today she refused to treat a 12 year established patient in distress.

Everyone at this practice is friendly, respectful, and loves your animals! The entire place is immaculate! It always smells fresh and clean as well. The technicians are absolutely wonderful with my yorkie. The are very gentle with her and she completely adores them. We have had the absolute pleasure of taking Noelle to see Dr. Bixler. This Vet has such a deep, nuturing bond with animals unlike I have ever seen. It is almost like Snow White in nature. Noelle gets so excited when she sees Dr. Bixler that it is hard to believe we are at the vet. The exam process is very thorough. Medications are dispensed on site. The checkout and follow-up appointment processes are so uncomplicated that I was stunned at first. If I could give a higher rating, I most definitely would!!!

When we started in January, consistency looked doable, though still challenging. One of my dogs is a male reactive dog who we adopted when he was one and had been kept in a backyard until then without socialization with other people or animals. He wasn't even leash trained. We got the second one as a puppy to be his companion and help socialize him. I had never had a dog in my entire life until these two, and I thought I would have more help than I actually did for the first few years I had them (before my current marriage). When I was financially able, I contacted Sandra, who was clearly passionate about animals. I ended up paying for 12 visits because we felt like Tucker needed a lot of work. Sandra had the best treats and helped us manage Tucker's behavior with better collars, leashes, and supplements. We had to cancel and reschedule due to my own circumstances, Sandra's, and, of course, the weather. That put us into the busiest time of the school semester, both as a teacher and with our five kids' dance, sports, and band schedules, including practices, lessons, dress rehearsals, concerts, competitions, school trips, and other events. With two adults, both working two jobs, consistency was nearly impossible. In hindsight, six lessons would have been more manageable for my family, but Sandra has worked with me in other ways to support our progress. I know that I can reach out to her anytime with questions. She truly cares about and wants the best for the dogs she works with.
