We have had a really bad cock roach problem for the past 3 months. We keep reporting the problem to the office. They are refusing to fix the problem. We have 5 to 10 cock roaches every night in our kitchen on the counters, the drawers,in the microwave, and everywhere in the kitchen. read more

I lived at the Brittanys for over 2 years. We moved from the second floor to the first floor. My boyfriend and I lived in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment. During Hurricane Irma, our apartment sustained significant water damage that became mold very quickly. The maitenance team at the Brittanys removed the drywall and the carpet and installed dehimidifiers in the bedrooms which became un-usable. Not only did 2/3rds of our apartment disappear overnight, our electric bill was racked up to obscene costs due to maitenance's machines needing to be run 24/7. My boyfriend and I were forced to live entirely in our living room, but any attempts to reduce or refund our rent and electric fell on deaf ears at the Brittanys. We were forced to pay September and October's rent in full despite the apartment being completely unlivable. A few weeks later, we had excessive rain. The apartment flooded a second time, but this time it was much worse, filling every room from beneath the walls and the foundation of the house. We were forced to leave the apartment that night for our own safety. In the middle of that week, we along with many other first floor occupants, were served an eviction notice saying that we must vacate the units in just one week or to face legal action and fines. The office told us that they would refund our rent and our electric bill, but getting answers from them is like pulling teeth. If you question the office manager in anyway she becomes irate and tries to blame everything on God instead of helping you. Last I checked, God isn't the one who evicted me and then tried to charge me for an uninhabitable apartment. It's a real shame because I didn't mind living here until I had to interact with the office. read more

Love living in this apartment! We've been here close to a year now and we've loved it. It's right by the beach which is amazing. I was pregnant basically the whole year and we loved being able to go on a quick walk and be at the beach. The ladies in the office are great. All are so sweet and helpful. Whenever we've had an issues they have answered and helped us in any way possible. The rooms are a huge. Our master bedroom is very large, we have a dresser and a queen bed and a crib for our newborn and we still have plenty space to spare. It's great. Would highly recommend this apartment to anyone trying to live close to the beach. Not to mention what a great little beach town it is. So many fun and great restaurants all so close by! read more

I absolutely love my apartment here! We have a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom that is very spacious. We don't have to call maintenance over that much but when we do they are very quick to come over and are respectful and courteous. The neighbors are nice and quiet, the location is by the beach and can't be beat, and the office staff is very pleasant to deal with. read more

I have been living here at the Brittany Apts for about a month and so far so good. Of course there are issues anywhere you reside and this complex has it's own...but hey, you are renting! The location is perfect to be able to walk to many stores, rest, and other amenities like the beach (10 min walk and your feet in the sand). Still trying to get used to the rent process here in Florida, meaning you pay depending of the daily rate for apts renting in the area...so you have to get lucky and sign your lease on a day the rent is lower...funky system? The Staff here is very friendly (Mrs. Friday Rene) and they are working to improve the complex. Pros: close to the beach, grocery store, restaurants, quick access to main roads/highways, offers 3-brdm apts, huge pool, friendly staff. Cons: built in the 80s, AC system struggles in summer days, parking lot has areas where the water builds up during rainy days, landscape in front of apts could be better/cleaner. read more

We have been at the Brittany for 5+ years and have seen constant improvement throughout the property - especially and obviously after the hurricane. Watched everyone on their team work strenuously to get things back in order as it was a huge ordeal. With that being said, the effort continues after the fact from every day maintenance to administrative issues as they arise. The past 1-2 years, we have needed some major things done in the apartment. We realize how hard it can be to balance priorities within the complex and sometimes we became a bit impatient but the end result has always been very satisfying. As tenants, we know it is a two-way street, so we extend the same proper respect to the office because they have to field a lot of concerns for all residents. Tamara, the manager, has always been fair and consistent, not to mention a great communicator. She cares about the job and the properties while remaining graceful under any type of pressure. Her team is always pleasant and makes it easy to ask for help if we need it. Maintenance requests are handled with a sense of urgency when appropriate, and when things cannot be addressed timely, they are consistent with following up to let us know what is going on. They re-surfaced the parking lot, putting in more handicapped spaces and bright numbers for assigned parking spots. When the railings looked, rusted, they were painted. They offer extra-curricular activities for the complex that includes everyone.... even if we don't attend many, it is nice to see the action happening. We appreciate how clean the grounds are kept and have observed maintenance picking up litter and are mindful of cleaning up any mess that occurs within the confines of our apartment when fixing something. We are excited to see the clubhouse remodeling and putting in a fitness center too! The quality of service has always been professional and friendly. If only our rent would stay the same or a bit of a discount for continuously renewing - that would be excellent. The location is ideal, especially if you like the beach, the service is excellent and prompt and the maintenance crew is super responsive and friendly. Yes the apartments are old but the ones that are renovated are in very good shape. The complex is quiet and pretty . Recently re-pained all the buildings and redid the pool. Still waiting to spruce up the stairwells, but as we were told, that is coming soon. Another great feature is the assigned parking space. Check it out and that you will like it.
