For an apartment that was deemed unlivable according to the Florida statue. I spent over eight months trying to get them to fix a flooding problem that was occurring every time it rained. FUN FACT: Tallahassee is the 3rd for receiving the most rain in the USA. They refuse to find permanent solution, and even threaten me with eviction. I decided to do some investigating and learn that they've done this too many Tallahassee residence especially to minorities. All their properties look good but once you move in, they are major issues such as plumbing and flooding. Thankfully, the judge agree with me, and will allow me to break my lease without any delay or penalty. I'm posting this so that it helped someone to avoid the issues that I had to go through. I am moving because…read moreof the property management company's failure to enforce the alleged rules for the apartment complex. My neighbors consistently violate the no smoking policy. Something about the shitty ventilation system means that my apartment constantly reeks of their cigarettes. The cigarettes get disposed of on the grass below their balcony. Repeated reports to the property management company have gone nowhere. The most assistance I received was a suggestion to get a new air filter. The people at the office are personable, but do not expect any actual assistance from them. Maintenance requests are never completed within a reasonable timeframe. More than once I have come home to find the maintenance man cutting a hole in my bathroom wall to search for the source of an imaginary leak. My unit's balcony was soaked in animal urine when I moved in, and there was dried feces in the cracks between the wooden floorboards. Wood damage around the sliding door suggests that the previous tenants were keeping a pet out there, and the property management company had no qualms renting the unit to me without cleaning it. That being said, it's cheap and close to campus.

Maintenance responded and patched the hole in about a weeks time (never painted over it though). For other things, the office responds relatively quick. And instead of replacing it with a new one, they kept trying to repair the old one with no success. The air conditioning unit broke and it took them almost 2 weeks to come out to fix it. And finally last but not least. My mother's lease was signed on January 5, 2017 ( a one year lease). She was told they were not renewing her lease and she had to vacate the premises by December 31, 2017. Not on January 5, 2018 like her lease stated. Then they told her for everyday she was not out of the house after December 31st, she was going to be charged $37.50 per day, something that they told her and did not put down on paper. THESE ARE A BUNCH OF LYING CROOKS WHO TRY TO GET OVER ON THE EDLERLY AND ANYONE ELSE THEY THINK THAT IS VURNERABLE.
