She went above and beyond the call of duty in helping me to find exactly what I needed and and did it in a cheerful and friendly way. She tracked down the book I wanted, and then scanned maps within it. She next found an additional resource I was unaware of, and made photocopies of its content. Lots of interesting nooks and crannies to explore, local historic artifacts, paintings, etc. Also, nice selection of DVD's to borrow, and fun activities for babies and toddlers during the week. If you are local, this is a great place to stop during a walk up Main St. or to bring some books or laptop for study.

I know many use online book services nowadays; but to Me there's still nothing like having a…read morephysical book in my hand. I love the fact that the library is able to offer us online services, different online reading apps, the hold & pick up in person or the drive up service. And not to mention they also do the interchange with other libraries if they don't have the book your looking for. The staff is always friendly. Everything is always nicely and organized. It's peaceful, tranquil environment.

This is truly rural Connecticut. The library is a large facility. Clean, quiet, modern. Stacks and stacks of books, quite a few places to sit and read, and several spots with comfortable tables to use as a work space. I'm sincerely impressed. My only complaint is that the parking lot is small. My Sprinter van was challenged. I don't know how people with big vehicles would do here, especially in the winter. There were three computers available, one with preloaded kids programs, the other two standard internet connected windows computers. There are plenty of tables, games, LEGO's and of course books. The employees are super nice and it was a great way to entertain the kids for a few hours. I can only speak on the children's room. I didn't spend any time in the main area, but the kids room suited my needs perfectly.
