She went above and beyond the call of duty in helping me to find exactly what I needed and and did it in a cheerful and friendly way. She tracked down the book I wanted, and then scanned maps within it. She next found an additional resource I was unaware of, and made photocopies of its content. As a result, I had an excellent experience at Newtown's beautiful library and came away extremely happy. Fantastic job, Shari!

Lots of interesting nooks and crannies to explore, local historic artifacts, paintings, etc. Also, nice selection of DVD's to borrow, and fun activities for babies and toddlers during the week. If you are local, this is a great place to stop during a walk up Main St. or to bring some books or laptop for study.

Our tour guide, Lucas, was exceptional. Hands-down, the best we've had at any college visit experience so far. Their DNP program is new as of August 2022 and has been a disaster. It is an accelerated program…read morewith courses over Christmas, ten credits in the summer intercessions in the 2nd year, only 5 weeks allotted for 90 clinical hours, and a bit expensive. Each course is only offered every year and a half, there is no flexibility to take courses as your work/family situation allows. At times the clinical hours exceed what most employers would give for PTO. I was able to find non-profit work that could be done from home, but actual clinical sites are difficult to find and they provide little support, often unclear expectations, and had to bring in other faculty from other schools to help them. At times, assignments were not accepted on the last day of the semester, causing great hardship in completing over short breaks before the next semester. I can not recommend this program until it becomes more established as their other programs and more flexible for the working nurse practitioner.

There are reading areas inside and a few tables outside with umbrellas. Multiple computers for public internet. There is a system called Libby which gives access to online books and audio books once you have a card. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There is a small interactive play area in the children's book section. Lots to offer at your local library. Definitely will come back.

The people who work within the Danbury Historical Society are some of the most kind and…read morecompassionate that I've met. While home in CT on a short vacation, I wanted to do some genealogy research that I have not been able to complete due to living across the country. I walked in later in the afternoon yesterday and had just missed their resident researcher. I was asked if I could come back today where I could spend some time going through files. I went back in this morning and was blown away by the amount of information that I found. I already knew that I was eligible to work on membership to the DAR for my family, but Diane, the resident researcher, went above and beyond to find many other details about our family from even farther back than that. Deeds, a family book of genealogy, and pictures were amongst the finds today. I grew up in Danbury, but never really got into the history of the city until over the past few years. I admire what the historical society is doing and that they will take you in with open arms and help you with your research. They survive on donations so make sure that you donate something for the time that they give to preserve the history of the town.

This is a beautiful library in... well, it may be the middle of nowhere. Call it a scenic drive…read morethere! The building used to be Mark Twain's house, and the property and interior is properly adorned with images of the man himself and characters from his works. They also have a little rotunda exhibiting modern artists of various themes. Although there are books everywhere, it is open enough where it feels comfortable and even homey in some locations.
