This is long overdue but better late than never? I've had my brows done for almost a year now and still as in love with them as I was day one! I did a lot of research on where to get my microblading done as it's not something you want to take a chance on. The Brow Project was consistently surfacing as I was researching and reading through the reviews and finally reaching out and talking to Nicole, I knew I was moving forward with the right person/company! I have dark hair but my eyebrows have always been super light and I was constantly penciling them in just to make them noticeable, in a natural way. When I went for my appointment, Nicole did an amazing job at understanding what I was looking for and executing her artwork perfectly. The color and the SHAPE were spot on and I've not penciled them in since that day! People typically ask me about two things, price and does it hurt. Price - I knew I didn't want to do a bargain deal as there is sooo much that can go wrong with color, shape, etc. She's not the least expensive which I actually appreciate. You're messing with my face! It's 100% worth the price and paying a little bit more to go to her and get them done right the first time around. Nicole is a definitely perfectionist! My eyebrows look amazing and I am beyond satisfied with them. My eyebrows look better now than they ever did with makeup on. They are seriously so natural looking and symmetrical. I rarely even wear makeup anymore now that I have perfect eyebrows, but when I do, my makeup routine is significantly faster and easier. If you are someone who is worried about the pain, I definitely was too. However, the pain only lasts a few minutes because she puts numbing cream on them after making the first few cuts, and then the rest of the time it's basically painless. It is recommended that you book your appointment during a time you will not be on your cycle because being on your cycle apparently makes the procedure significantly more painful. However, I had microblading done while I was on my cycle and I was able to tolerate the pain. When I had my touchup done, I was not on my cycle and I hardly noticed a difference in the pain. That is just my experience, but you should try to avoid booking on your cycle just in case it's different for you. The process is definitely uncomfortable but it's totally worth it. The cuts feel like deep scratches and in my opinion are way less painful than paper cuts. Nicole told me to just think of it as "little kitty scratches" and that actually helped a lot! The entire thing was pretty expensive, but you get what you pay for. Nicole is great at what she does and she will make sure you love your eyebrows afterward. Personally, I would not risk going to someone inexperienced just to save some money. Because microblading is a semipermanent tattoo on your FACE, I feel that it is better to be safe than sorry because it is not something that can be undone. If you choose Nicole, you are in very good hands. She's very sweet and will treat you like a friend. She is also super helpful and is willing to answer whatever questions you may have! Obsessed with my new brows! I was worried going into the process because I am not a fan of pain and I wanted a more natural look and Nicole eased all of my fears. I actually won a giveaway from Nicole to get my eyebrows done and told myself it would be totally worth the drive from Memphis to Dallas to get her services and she did not let me down! I would do the 14 hour roundtrip drive and pay full price to do it all over again in a heartbeat. I was definitely a little worried going into it because I have combination and fair skin and features which I could see all presenting challenges, but right off the bat Nicole put me at ease and in fact had me expecting a far worse healing process, but it was painless and SO worth it. Cue in Late 90's and early 2000's, Britney and Christina were dominating the radio, Charmed on T.V. and the latest Delias magazine informing us that butterfly clips, glitter, and baby doll T's are all the rage. Fast-forward several years (I know I have already aged myself) and guess what eyebrows don't grow back. Wait... what? Shoot. I was previously microbladed by someone who refused to get trained properly and succumbed to the tragedy that is RED pigmented brows, intense shape that isn't flattering for my face shape and lots of scar tissue. When you have blonde brows, microblading can be pretty scary because you're afraid it might come out too harsh or dark. I did my research and found Nicole and her work was amazing, so I contacted her ASAP! Naturally, she had a ton of clients booked up months in advance, so I was just hoping to be put on the cancellation list because I'm going into the Air Force and would have been gone by the time I could get an appointment. When I explained my situation, she was so awesome and so accommodating and actually offered to come in on her day off for me! This was really important for me because I can't wear makeup during training, and she was super understanding and helpful. The appointment was quick and easy, but Nicole was very attentive to detail and followed my existing brow shape to make it as natural as possible. Also don't worry about the pain at all, it's totally tolerable. I went with her color recommendation and after they healed up, I couldn't even tell there were strokes, my brows just looked fluffier and more defined. I don't even put makeup on them now tbh, don't see the need because they look great as they are. Don't freak out when they're dark at first, THEY WILL FADE TO PERFECTION. I just went in for my 6-8 week touch up today and again, super quick with only a little pain- which is definitely worth the outcome. Having someone you do not thoroughly know place permanent eyebrows on your face is scary. After my experience with Nicole, she is someone I would whole heartedly trust with this. She has extensive attention to detail, is a perfectionist, listens to you, strives for a natural look, and provides you with realistic expectations. Realistic expectations was something that was imperative for me because an autoimmune condition, alopecia areata, has left me without a left eyebrow. Nicole informed me at my first appointment that clients with autoimmune disorders that affect the skin, tend to have skin that holds pigment differently than those without an autoimmune condition. This set me up for a realistic expectation of what my eyebrows would look like. After my eyebrows went through the healing process, I was extremely happy with the result. Nicole created an ideal eyebrow shape that looked natural, without any eyebrow hair to use as a stencil for shape. It is pretty incredible. Even after the first visit, I wasn't using any make-up on my eyebrows.
