The Bullmastiff café in Cardiff market is one catering for popular and inexpensive meals . The lava bread that is sold in Ashtons in the same building is on the menu in this café It goes down well with the standard breakfast. The Bull Mastiff café is an unpretentious food outlet producing good quality simple meals at remarkably low prices. It is really quite small and the management have cleverly increased the apparent size by the use of mirrors which gives the impression that the area is twice the actual size. The café because of its inexpensive meals is always very popular and at lunch times there my be a short delay time for your meal. If you are into maths it would be an interesting exercise to permutate the different number of dishes that could be prepared from the basic ingredients on the menu: sausage, beans ,chips, egg.( one or two) Lava bread, bacon, faggots, peas. (there may be others that I cannot remember.) I tried the egg and chips ( two eggs ) which were hygienically served and quite delicious The price was £2.50. If you are looking for a good meal or a snack at a very reasonable price and you do not expect a cordon bleu menu then the Bull Mastiff café may be your first choice. read more
