I actually look forward to eating these as opposed to the somewhat bland other delivery services I've tried. I don't understand the bad reviews-- the app is much more user-friendly so try that. I have had no problems with availability, adding or changing items to my order, and the freshness. For people saying "unclear billing" they have a Charges tab that shows exactly what you're being billed for delineated by item... Other than the plastic waste (comes with the territory) I honestly have no qualms, I will be continuing with them for awhile! My new fav delivery service.

The food was decent, but the packaging was a dealbreaker. Every single item comes in a non-reusable plastic container. Even setting aside environmental concerns, the sheer volume of waste was unmanageable: my garbage goes out every other week and was already full. The cost also didn't pencil out. Even with the discount, Thistle ran more than what I currently spend eating out for the same number of meals, and it didn't reduce my grocery bill either.

Thistle - There was a SHARD OF PLASTIC IN THIS one! Hard to see but it was sharp and would have been so bad if swallowed.

The food is absolutely AMAZING! The quality is superb, like what I would buy myself if I were to do the cooking. I'm particular when it comes to meat, and Plentiful Kitchen has it down. I'm a big foodie and these meals are the highlight of my week. I'm not even gluten or dairy free, and I have never once missed the gluten or dairy in these dishes! These meals are delicious, convenient, easy to reheat, and nutritious. I'm a busy mom of two toddlers, and to my surprise, they even enjoy sharing this food. I am extremely grateful for these meals and the friendly/responsive customer service! Also, their baked goods and homemade granola are divine as well! I cannot recommend Plentiful Kitchen enough!

I was so impressed with the delivery service, and my kit arrived in a nice insulated reusable Kitchen Doula bag. The hearty soups and stews came in so clutch for me during those early newborn days and long nights at 3am, when feeding time for baby came around and I was starvvvvinggg (and cold scurrying down to my kitchen in the odd hours of the night). I loved the nourishing cock-a-leek soup paired with a side of the plain biscuits...my husband and I were practically rushing to beat the other to the last serving of it because it was so nourishing and yummy (of course, I always got the seconds). We had a variety of the other staple soups, and I appreciate how diverse the options are on their site...you can't get bored with the selections. A couple years later, I have found myself riding the waves of the cold/flu season (which seems to keep cycling back in our household especially with a toddler in preschool passing germs back and forth), and I am needing to have nourishing, fresh, and warming soups to help bring comfort...and Kitchen Doula, we meet again! This is now my go-to recommendation for new mamas, parents, or peeps, just needing to find some relief in the food they eat, in a way that feels good to put into your body and to spend your money on. So happy for this service!

If you're a mother or mother-in-law in trying to give a gift to the mother of your new grandchild, skip this one. for her I pay 1/3 of the cost for shipping is really ridiculous particularly when the site says free shipping on $150.

Seems like they post their weekly menus on their website, so you can kind of get a sense of what type of meals you might get. So if you're looking to get a better sense of what may be in your 'bag', then I recommend looking there first! Pickup was quick. Someone noticed me standing by the door and after letting them know I was there to pick up a Too Good to Go order, he got my boxes really quickly. The meal I ended up getting was a turkley bolognese pasta with some steamed broccoli. Very simplistic dish that tasty alright. For this specific meal, I'm not sure I would so inclined to pay full price for the meal prep since it is cheaper and very easy to make this at home. That said, I can see the appeal for those who are just too busy overall and want fast, healthy meals without having to cook. Overall, glad to have tried another local establishment. Would recommend trying this on 2G2G first if you're not sure you'll like the food.
