The are absolutely awesome for helping you to get into the biggest debt of your life. What they do…read moreno explain is the amount of the finance charges. You will receive that information several days after the furniture is already delivered. I think it is horrendous to pray on their customers. The finance charge is literally 150% if you pay it off after 3 months. In other words the furniture we bought started out at $2400.00, it would be roughly $7000.00 if we allowed the furniture to be paid at $300.00 dollars per month for 24 months. They will never let you know about those crazy finance charges. Now I understand why the gentleman told us if you do not pay them there is nothing they can do, Small heads up to let us know indirectly we will be very ripped off. *Oh yes they will tell you it's according to your credit rating that their is different interest. BS my boyfriend and niece had the same rate of finance with different scores. Rip off period. Nice furniture. Buy it out right, but never finance with them.

For a place that has such an impressive # of backyard sheds on display, it unfortunately has one of…read morethe lowest levels of customer service I've ever experienced. On 8/23/18, I purchased a $1700 Everlast Shed from "Barb" at Backyard Structures. Backyard Structures' only responsibility is to take customer's orders (from 2 or 3 different shed manufacturers), process the orders, fax the order to the manufacturer, and the manufactuer delivers the Shed to the customer's site in 4 to 5 weeks. On 9/14 I called Everlast Sheds to check on status of order and estimated delivery date. Rosemary from Everlast said she cannot locate the order and to check with Backyard Structures. I got Barb on the phone and she said she doesn't recall the sale, has no record of it, and denied she took the sale even though I gave her order date from my copy with her name on it. After a short search she found the order which she never faxed to the manufacturer. At that point she admitted she took the order, offered no apology for delaying it over 3 weeks, and offered no compensation for her negligence. I asked if she'd call Everlast and see if she could expedite it since she dropped the ball. She said theres nothing she can do because the shed builders are all booked out. Then incredibly she blamed ME for not calling sooner to follow-up to see if everything was in order. I told her her customer service was appalling and that I'd be giving her a review she wouldnt be proud of. I wound up calling Everlast myself and the shed will be delivered soon as Rosemary is expediting it due to Barb's poor and rude service. Id give Everlast Sheds 5 stars and Buxton Backyard Structures ZERO stars if I could. Tip: If you get "Barb" as your sales person, ask for anyone else to handle the transaction.

If you think you are going to be able to get the slipcovers off the foam pads, wash them and then…read moreput them back on, think again. That's now how these work. (I have owned Pier One cushions and they LITERALLY can and should work like this.) If you think your upholstery steamer is going to spot-clean their basic white fabric, think again. If you think your salesperson will steer you in a better direction, think again. Pro: The company got the sizing right and the shipment was on time. CON: I paid a fortune to have 12 cushions made in 2023. A year and a half later, I am thinking I need to have slipcovers made for my SLIPCOVERED custom cushions! TODAY via email: "Unfortunately, the covers are not easy to remove because they need to be snug to the foam to look good. A good trick is to put the covers back on while still damp. It makes it easier to smooth out the foam." (I did this on one of them...it literally!! requires two people, is very hard to do... and it does not look good and will never look good again once back on the cushion.) HEAR ME: Even if you WANTED to take the slipcover off the back pillows you would have pillow stuffing everywhere because the company doesn't put the stuffing in a case! Why are are paying to have a zipper put into the "slipcover"? (Also, the cushions might look good upon arrival but the back cushions are way overstuffed and are like bricks.) THEY WROTE: "You can also clean the covers by hand with the foam inside. The loose fill in the backs can get wet and can be removed as well. (back cushions never have foam in them) I hope that helps! WHAT YOU WON'T GET: Guidance. THEY SAID: "As for selecting the white fabric, the fabric selection is entirely up to the customer and their personal preferences. I do not give my opinion on the matter." Great. Fine, don't tell me what color to chose but maybe?? tell me that your product does not work like a traditional slipcover. Maybe tell me, 'If you don't get the cancer-causing weather treatement, you will be miserable going with white...pick a print...because the mildew stains don't come out of this fabric." Or go with a different fabric quality and here is why.... I HATE writing crummy reviews. They are nice people, for sure. But the product is not worth it and frustratinggggggg.

When they arrived they were very well protected in plastic and it wasn't until stacked them up against one and other that I discovered a problem with the way the fabric was matchedon some of them cushions. I notifed Lindsay by email (with photos) on a Saturday morning, fully expecting a call back on Monday. In fact, she called back immediately, spoke with the factory foreman and ordered replacement cushions. The replacement cushions arrived in short order--they are perfect. I am blown away by the customer service. I highly recommended Lindsay and Patio Furniture Cushions to anyone seeking to update their patio furniture.

What an honor to have a tour by Mira Nakashima…read more It really is quite a thrill to be on the grounds of George Nakashima's woodworking Studios. You don't see anybody working on any of the air projects today. But we could see in the buildings their very tidy works spaces. It's great to hear the stories and to hear her memories & her dad's history. New Hope is so lucky to still have this . The new Hope experiment lives! So creative and so comforting to have this art even to this day. And to know that George Nakashima built all of these buildings! I've come before and I swear I learned new things this trip! You get to tour many of the buildings on the compound. And you're gonna have a wonderful moment in the end if you'd like... There is a gift shop!! It really is so special and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Located in New Hope, PA, the George Nakashima Woodworker Complex is a National Historic Site of the…read moreNational Park Service. It is the final home and workshop for the amazing woodwork designs and creative energies of Mr. Nakashima who was world renowned for his appreciation of trees and of giving them a second life through timeless natural constructed furniture. His 12 acre compound on Aquetong Road consists of 21 shops, studios, galleries and warehousing of wood collected around the world and stored there until he or his family and craftsmen discovered the beauty within the rough hewn tree trunks and create one of a kind masterpieces that would last forever. His daughter Mira now runs the enterprise and remains actively engaged in its operation. Born in Washington State in 1905, George received a worldwide education including stops in Paris, Spokane, Cambridge, MA, New York, North Africa, Japan and India. He was instrumental in developing the International Style architecture in the 1920s and 30s. He painted the murals on the New York Capitol Building and designed/constructed the ashram of Sri Aurobindo in Pondicherry, India. His exploration of Japanese culture and design philosophy led him to furniture design and craftsmanship which would become the focus of his life's work. During World War II he was forced to live in a relocation camp in Idaho until released by petition to the government by the Dean of MIT and a previous employer, Antonin Raymond. This brought him to Bucks County in 1943 to live on Raymond's farm with his family. Three years later he purchased 3 acres of land nearby to build his homestead and workshop. As his family grew (son Kevin), he purchased more land and expanded the complex through the 1970s to the present 12 acres. He infused aspects of traditional Japanese architecture with the simpler International Style, that was heavily influenced at that time by utopian Frank Lloyd Wright. The buildings are smoothly integrated with the natural elements of the land - hills and vales; streams and flora. A visit to this national treasure brings you into intimate contact with his work and ideas. A walk around leaves you feeling like George is at your side. His daughter Mira still lives and works in the same place and space as her father. Meeting her was one of the magical moments of my life.
