$35 for half an hour $55 for the hour There's 4 cages available, and you need someone to feed the ball into the machine. It was tiring with just 2 guys, because you're constantly swinging and picking up balls. It was also really hot in there, came out looking like I hit the sauna. They provide the bats and a bucket for ball collection. I would come back if it's a rainy day, helps that this is indoors. read more

No air on the summer, no heat in the winter cold! I mean NONE! No water fountains. Ceilings are falling down. Very unprofessional. Owner is rude and crass. Signed my kids up here and she had the audacity to call me screaming about a bill she had missed a $700.00 payment on! Maybe because they write everything down with a pencil in a book like my grandfather did back in the 50's. States she has "no time" to create invoices. This is AFTER, mind you, she had overstuffed the teams, so none of the kids even got a full game in. They are the only batting cages in the area, so they act entitled. I would heed great warning before coming to this establishment, and definitely don't sign up for the teams. They rip you off. I was new to Queens and knew no better. Since I've left I'm hearing all of the bad news about them. Live and learn. read more

Very nice reception from the attendant. He made sure my kids had fun while I was busy looking for parking. It's got 6 batting cages where kids can practice their swings. Many kids playing. The kids were nice and not rowdy. There are coaches around too. Good experience except for the parking. read more

I came in and there was some junky looking dude behind the counter who said and did nothing as I approached the counter. so we stood in silence until some other dude came to the front complimenting the junky's cool jacket then he also did not acknowledge my presence .so i stood there like an asshole for a good 5 minutes before this long haired douche asks me if I'm being helped, to which i replied "not at all" . we continue convo about getting a cage . Mind you this is my first time here. he begins to be a condescending prick asking me questions like "how you gonna hit the ball?' to which i retort " with a bat preferably ." he then goes on about i need another person to load the balls and so on, hes talking to me like i should know how this janky ass spot works.then he switches conversation and asks if i want to hit softballs? which just left me speechless. I thought maybe he's having a bad day so i returned the next day with a female friend of mine and he was an even bigger dickhead than the previous day. if I had to choos beetween getting waterboarded or spend my money in this establishment ... Make sure you have 2 people. One person has to feed the machine. It's nice that you can adjust the speed but one person will be behind the machine. The person behind the register was a bit rude though. He said our child's helmet was a girls softball helmet and that we shouldn't use it because it had a cage on it. We called a week ahead and booked a slot for 1pm last Sunday. On Saturday (the day prior) I kept thinking that I had booked it for 12pm (this is what happens when I don't write something down!) and tried calling to confirm, but it always went straight to voicemail. We ended up just coming a little early and it was mostly empty, so we got to start early. The attendant will ring you up first, bring a bucket of balls over (we chose softballs) and give you a quick tutorial about how to use the machine - all in all, easy and simple. It was fun (for the first time, for me) to spend an hour, and we were surrounded by a baseball team and their coaches. We'll definitely return in the future! read more

My friends and I came on a Saturday. We purchased Groupons for the visit but when we got there the front desk pointed out that the Groupon was ONLY for WEEKDAYS. It was our fault that we didn't read the fine print but he was kind enough to accommodate us! It was a good experience and we had fun. MAKE SURE TO READ THE FINE PRINT BEFORE PURCHASING GROUPON! Within 5 minutes of purchasing a new SSK youth bat from The Cage, and trying it out in a batting cage, the bat split. Jesse would not refund our money or give us another bat. He made one lame excuse after another, then gave us a phone number to call at SSK. He took no responsibilty and did not stand behind his product. He did not care that he sold us a defective product and stiffed us. Jesse did NOT offer to contact SSK for us; he barely had the courtesy to write down their phone number for me at my insistence. Judy, his mom, has touched up their story to make them appear more humane, but its a front. The bat was used for its intended purpose and still broke after 5 minutes. The bat was defective and the owners have a poor customer service policy. They must have really needed my $50. NEVER buy a bat at The Cage! read more

This place is your typical sort of batting cage that you find in the Queens area. They have an area set up where you can practice pitching, and I saw some guys practicing cricket in one of the areas. The one caveat is that you need to go with a partner; your partner is required to feed the balls one by one through the pitching machine. The advantage of this is you can switch off easily and adjust the speed/location as you go; the disadvantage is you need to have a partner. read more

Not that I have a lot of experience going to these types of places, but this place was good. $25/half hour. You can load a machine and just have some fun or practice away with your teammates. I had a good time, but I'm sure there are more state of the art places. The owner was raving that this is the best facility around, but I don't know how true that is. read more

The owner was rude and kept staring at us the whole hour we spent in the cage. And then had the audacity to rush us out 30min early, when our reservation started at 4 and wasn't up until 5. Place needs major upgrades and is nasty with the ceiling basically falling down on you. Don't waste your money. read more

Great facility worth the extra cash; dude behind the counter, Ross, took care of my group with max professionalism and chillness. My Son and I went here over the Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday. There were a Total of 3 Customers in the Entire Establishment, this Being our First Time at " The Cage " I'm going to keep the Review Very Broad an say it's a Very Nice indoor Batting Cage, it also has 2 practice Pitching Mounds.Just 1 Small Word of Advice on This Review if you Need to Measure for the Pitchers Mound Bring your own Tape Measure, it will be Easier an Faster. I only Was able to Give it 3 Stars because it was our 1st Time plus Honestly we had to Wring Out our Underwear after leaving it had to be Over 100 degrees inside "The Cage" I Assure you my Next Review will be Much More Detailed. read more

Customer service sucks!! I went with my daughter. We did not feel welcomed at all. I told the guy i have a Groupon voucher. He wasn't too please about that. He ask if i made a reservation. I said "no, i called twice no one answered" He then said "did you leave a voice message". I said "no but either way it says on the voucher that a reservation is preferred". Does not say it's mandatory. I can tell he didn't want to accept the voucher. He probably was not going to allow me to use the voucher until i said that. He then continued with how there's no softball available. I said "that's fine". My daughter plays baseball anyways. The place was pretty empty. He told me there's a 5pm slot open for softball and 6pm for baseball. I rather loose the voucher than to return there. He made it seem as if we need to make a reservation not know i read the whole voucher! How he told us there's no soft ball then when he found out we prefer baseball all of a sudden slots opened. this place is a joke! read more

What a great experience! I wanted to introduce my baseball-obsessed six-year-old who had only tried coin-operated batting cages to a real batting cage. At first I thought the one in New Hyde Park would be a good place but after 30 minutes of driving there, the staff told us he was too young to use their facilities. They had cages where a parent/coach could pitch the balls but the guy just gave me a once-over and told me I couldn't do it. (I'm a 5' Asian mother of two, in my forties but way more fit than that POS who judged me. And I can throw a ball or two) So we called The Cage and the guy on the phone said, "there's no age limit; if you can swing a bat, you can use our cage." that's how we ended up at The Cage: and we had a GREAT TIME. We rented a space for an hour and my 6yo couldn't be happier. I thought the service was great too. I didn't feel judged because I'm a petite mom trying to play ball with my son. This morning my son woke up and told me that yesterday (which happened to be mother's day and my husband was working) was the best day. We can't wait to return. Highly recommend but do call to reserve a space. read more
