Went for the first time today. Store is very clean and they offer a lot of cake, cookies and cupcake supplies. If you are looking for cookie cutters - this is the store. Their cupcakes are good; however I had a hard time paying $15 for just 4. I went to get information about their decorating classes. The room was large and very clean (a big plus). I just returned from my first visit at, The Cake Cottage, and I have to say, I was totally impressed! I walked in a bit timid, having never used fondant to decorate a cake before, and the person who helped me at the counter was so very knowledgeable and kind! Never for a moment, did she make me feel "silly" for asking so many questions regarding my project. If anything, I felt even more confident and empowered to try out fondant for the first time. She also offered some awesome suggestions for me to try and was so very friendly! My experience was great and I can hardly wait to sign both my kids and myself up for classes at this location. I wish I could comment on the prices, how they compare..but this was my first time purchasing "fondant" so I'm forced to admit, I'm in the dark regarding what it usually sells for. My husband has been spoiling me by coming to this cute cupcake shop and bringing home a variety of cupcakes almost every week. We love supporting local businesses, especially ones who have such good quality products as well as customer service. We have tried almost every flavor, including seasonal treats, and they have been fabulous. Our all time favorite is the chocolate chip cookie cupcake (seasonal) and the lemon cupcake (has a gooey center and fluffy topping with a hard white chocolate shell). I haven't taken any classes yet but a friend recommended it to me. They have a ton of cookie cutters and baking supplies to aid any adventures other bakers may wish to embark on. So glad we found this place. The owner was super sweet and inviting and her shop is full of baking accessories. We tried the raspberry chocolate, white chovolaye raspberry, strawberry champagne amd kahlua. Holy moly, they were all amazing. It had the perfect sweetness to it and the cupcakes are fairly large. Eaxh cupcake has its own special something about it. Chocolate raspberry had a chocolate shell over the frosting. A chocolate shell people! Strawberrry champagne was strawberry with a sweet hint of champagne, it light but indulgent. Kahlua was topped with a chocolate covered espresso bean and a wafer roll and chocolate chunks. White chocolate raspberry had drizzles of raspberry filling in the cake has a graham cracker bottom. What?! Im looking forward to our next visit. Cute shop, you can tell that they stock quality items and have everything you need for cookies, cake and cupcakes. I did not buy their cupcakes but I'll be back to take a class for sure! I bought some orange extract (which was awesome and not overwhelming), cookie cutters (pirate ship, lighthouse, and Christmas blub ornament), and stuff for making my nephews cupcakes (including boxes and liners to carry).
